This company is the worst company that my husband and I have ever dealt with. They are completely unprofessional, misinformed, and untrained. No one knows the answer to any of our questions or what the next step is. You get pushed off to someone else every time and have to sit on hold for HOURS at a time. They do not tell you everything that you need to do or know upfront and everyday they suddenly need something else signed or mailed to them "before the next step". We have gotten so frustrated that we're ready to just cancel the whole transaction, although then we'll be out the money we put down to hold the vehicle. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.

Price of car was excellent as was the price for my trade. Made the deal, took out a loan, began payments. Car never arrived. Called daily. 20-30 minute hold time. Customer service where nice enough and bumped me up to tier 2 but nobody could tell me when my car would ship. Over one month since closure of the deal. I had already made a payment for a car I did not have. I wondered what they would do with the payment for my trade in and if they would pay off the note on that car. I got cold feet and cancelled the deal. They were very prompt in refunding both my deposit and the first payment of my loan as well as cancelling the loan with chase. Disappointed I did not get the car of my dreams.

Robbed in broad daylight.
January 11, 2022

Attempted to buy a car on Dec 7 and was told my contract would be mailed to me within 24-48 hrs and will recieve car in 10-14 days. Dec 22nd comes around (14 days later) and still no contracts mailed to me. I called several times in between and every time I was told 24-48 hrs. Never received contract and never received car. Canceled my order on Dec 22 and was told I wasn't getting my deposit back even though I held up my part of the deal.

Worse experience ever
January 11, 2022

It took a month for the entire process. Had many discrepancies with delivery. Once you sign your contract they have 2 weeks to deliver the car which took even longer. When I received my car it was dirty and had no gas. I requested to have my contract changed due to the fact that I would only have my car 2 weeks before the car note is due they told me they couldn't change it. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car with vroom.

Frustrating experience with selling a vehicle to Vroom

Warning to potential sellers: Vroom's process is:
1. You upload personal and vehicle information online
2. You FedEx your vehicle's title to Vroom
3. You wait for Vroom to pickup your vehicle (in my case, 10 days after they received my title, no contact what so ever)
4. Once they receive your vehicle, they have the option to offer your a lower price with whatever reason they think fit. If you don't agree, I was told by Vroom customer service that sellers have to pay for the vehicle return shipping costs.
5. If you decided not to go through the process due to the long wait time, it would be at Vroom's mercy to get your signed vehicle title back.

Be warned. It is not worth the trouble to deal with Vroom, even if they offer couple hundred dollars more than other car buying companies.

Unethical and illegal business practices.
January 4, 2022

Paperwork signed and returned. Vehicle delivered and trade-in taken now trying to take it back. We purchased another vehicle months ago from Vroom and finicaced with Santander. Did the same for a recent purchase and Truck delivered they took my trade-in? Now a couple of weeks later they call and say that they will have to pick up the truck I bought and bring mine back. Even though all parties agreed to the purchase, financing, and delivery done with no notice of any issues. Of course, as others say it took hours and hours to finally receive the truck. Now they are trying to breach the contract due to their own errors and trying to return a vehicle that I haven't had use of for a month and in their possession for a couple of weeks and they have 10K for my down payment. Unethical and a breach of contract. I even received a congratulation letter before and after delivery advising that everything was done to complete my purchase.

Absolutely the worst!
January 3, 2022

Absolutely the worst!

This without a doubt has been the most frustrating insane upsetting borderlining on criminal experience I've ever had buying a car!
Of course once they get your money your deal falls in a black hole you're on hold for 45 minutes can't get anybody to answer your questions. When the car finally arrived I drove 3 miles the engine light went on! I brought it to a certified Mercedes mechanic who told me the compression valve was bad I needed to be replaced. Upon calling the warranty department they told me it's not covered because it's under the guise of the environment! Parts and labor will be over $1000 not to mention the fact that the tires were worn down so now I will have to go for another thousand on tires. The justice department should really take a look at Vroom because they are robbing stealing lying and scamming people every single day. I guess like everybody else I'll wait a year to get my permanent tags. Vroom should be put out of business immediately!

Incapability to deliver car title
January 3, 2022

On 11/09/2021 I purchased a 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid AWD from Vroom for $*******. 50, and it was delivered on 11/16/2021 when I reported their quality issues (which they asked me to sign a confidential agreement for the way they resolve it), however it has been more than 30 days and my title is still not delivered. On 12/17/2021 I got email from Vroom support saying "You will receive your title and registration within 2-6 weeks after the delivery of your vehicle.", I have made multiple attempts asking for reason why their progress is taking long time, including phone call and email inquiry on 12/19/21, as well as another phone call inquiry on 12/28/21 after an email of "Our records indicate that your temporary tag has expired or will be expiring soon" from Vroom, but I have never got a definite answer about when the title is delivered, and on 12/28/21 they told me on the phone that it has become "6-12 weeks" instead of "2-6 weeks", and I never got any email replies for these timeline updates. The title is still NOT delivered to me until today (01/02/2022), and the temporary TX state tag will be expired on 01/10/22. Since this is an infringement of the laws for both CA (15 days to receive title upon purchase) and TX (30 days to receive title upon purchase) state and severe impact on my benefits, I won't mark this post as resolved or remove this post until I got a VALID title for my vehicle, which can be used to successfully register in CA DMV office.

Title Nightmare
December 30, 2021

I purchased my Jeep Wrangler on line and all went smooth until it came to the paper work to Title the vehicle. Multiple phone calls to people who sounded like they were in India. Long waits on hold to talk to people who did not know what they were talking about. In Missouri we have 30 days to pay tax and title a vehicle we purchase. Vroom sent me more temporary Tags. I received notice from the State of Missouri that I did not title the vehicle on time and was to pay a Title penalties. Now it had been greater than 70 days. I called one last time and told the Vroom representative that my lawyer would contact them next and file a Tort against their Surety Bond in the state of Missouri, so they could not do business in the state. Surprise I had my paperwork three days later.

UPDATE: January 6,2022 These fools sent me another TEMP TAG for 30 days. I have already registered and paid my taxes on the Vehicle. This business is pathetic. RUN!

Title and licensing
December 28, 2021

Bought vehicle in October and not to bad of a process, until…. They get your money. Got my temp tags but it expired in 12-22 and now it's 12/27. After at least 4 calls, multiple emails I'm still waiting on another set of temp tags, let alone my actual ones (CA). Love the vehicle but hate incompetent reps who pretty lie in trying to help you. I'm now chatting with their social media people on trying to get a resolution. Won't hold my breath.

Big mistake
December 25, 2021

My wife found a 2019 Avalon on Vroom website. We decided to make the purchase. Big Mistake. It became a nightmare. After the paperwork was done. She received several emails stating the down payment wasn't received, when in facts they already had the payment and the finance company had approved everything. She was put on hold several times afterward, one time for 2 hours and 3 minutes. I was put on hold and then hung up on. It was supposed to be delivered in 14 days with a 48-hour notice. Never happened. We canceled the contract and the following week a guy called saying the car can be delivered the next day, just need a time. She advised him the contract was canceled. He stated he didn't know. We finally received our down payment back.

I am in middle of buying from VROOM and its embarrassing to watch these folks stumble around with no answers on how to fix a contract with miscalculated sales tax. Top it off with - trying to talk to anyone that knows what is going on and how to fix it during a contract expiration date looming.

I want this to be over but the have me due to the non-refundable $250 deposit. I want out - beware of the gotcha!\

Purchased a 2016 Chevrolet through Vroom. No problem with title, tags, delivery, etc... The car came with multiple problems, lots of scratches, and flat tires. Vroom will take the car back but you have to pay to ship. For me that was $700 and I would rather just buy new tires. Then I decided to cancel the extended warranty. The policy has been canceled but I'm still waiting for my refund. Do yourself a favor and don't buy or sell a car to these people. You will have nothing but trouble.

F rating
December 18, 2021

Worst, unprofessional, company I have ever experience in my life. They keep asking for papers that they ask me for weeks ago and I followed up to make sure they had them and they said yes. This week they are asking for same things all over again. They can't even tell me when I will be getting my car and I already paid them.Im just trying to help anybody from falling into this scam. They also have a f rating in the BBB.

I don't even know where to start with this company. Been on hold for over a hour and a half each time i call vroom for update on my title. I bought my car through vroom in Sept. Easy process and lots of communication till they got the money. No communication on when your car will be delivered, just wait for a door bell ring your car is here After that no one knows what the other person is doing. I've made at least 3 dozen phone calls in the past 4 months. All I want is my tag and all I get is misinformation. I've mailed in documents multiple times that they requested yet still nothing. My next option is take them to the media or get an attorney. Worst company. Do yourself a favor and don't buy from Vroom.
