The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

I have bought and sold safely.
The real problem is customer service: you never get to talk to anyone, and they just do not give a s*** and reply with template emails. If everything goes smooth then ok. But the moment you have a problem with the parcel or the purchase you won't get ANY help. So, why are the buyers paying the service commission?
I lately had a very bad exoerience, thry literally STOLE 20 euros, so I won't be recommending to anyone anymore.
Some OK sellers on Vinted, but when you get a scammer - & you will, as Vinted help them to thrive - then Vinted will blank you. So-called "Customer service* cut you off, as all they care about is taking a cut regardle$$ of who gets ripped-off or how un-safe their dodgy site is - they even have cheek to charge 'buyer protection' fee, so that if /WHEN you need help, you'll soon realise it's useless - Bl**dy awful company :(
I purchased a second hand tracksuit for my daughter. I paid £2.30 for buyer protection. I received an email whilst I was on holiday asking if I had received the order. I did not click 'I have an issue' as I was not sure if the parcel had been delivered.
The seller knew it had been lost and had been notified by InPost. I contacted Vinted when I returned home, just outside of the 48 hour window. The seller has confirmed in messages that the item has been lost and I provided this evidence. Vinted will not refund. Shocking. Do not use. I will be deleting my account and reverting to eBay which I have used for years and affords much better buyer protection. I have lost £30.29 and Vinted couldn't care less.
A bunch of clowns are running this company. Sell/buy on other platforms. I am a well-established seller on ebay (2008), poshmark (2016), mercari (2020). I thought to give this a try and they are removing my listings for not using my own pictures. All pictures submitted are mine and it's Impossible to reach customer service to complain.
Not only are you not protected as a seller because if the package gets lost with their shipments, to say the least obscene (a month around Italy x Italy) but there are disgusting, rude, offensive vulgar people (complete with profanity in private messages) or poor nerds who feel satisfied when they leave you negative feedback for no reason just for fun and to motivate you they say that the shipment (by their choice and managed by vinted) was too slow (8 days Italy-Belgium) and then they threaten you that if you don't it suits you even the stars lower you... all this without Vinted ever intervening. THEY ARE ONLY THERE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Terrible service.
Lost more money here than any other selling platform. Zero customer service and rife with scammers. If you want poorly skilled customer help when trying to fight scamming, you've got no hope! Accept your losses and move on. You've been warned!
Awful customer service takes ages for a response, if then it's usually automated by a bot that asked you the same questions. I've lost my items, money and time using this site and wouldn't never advise anyone to use it again. Beware of the multiple scammer/fake accounts also.
I was scan and try lots of time in 48 hours to talk with customer service, they never replay and it's said I would get my money back, €440 and no customer protection like they said.
I am so frustrated with the customer support and service I have received on Vinted! I have been selling old clothes for a couple of weeks now and so far everything was good! Today I received a message that all of my items had been deleted as they were 'commercial'! None of my items are commercial and even more frustratingly I spent alot of effort making things look nice on the page! After contacting customer support to try and get the items back up, they simply reinstated the terms and conditions (which I had not broken) and stopped me from asking for help! Can anyone help, Vinted please reply or I will be reporting you to trading standards!
Didn't receive my order. They do not respond, seller is still on there selling, lost my money and they do not care. DO NOT USE VINTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Absolutley disgusting service, why do you charge a buyer fee and then in no way help a buyer? Please be aware vinted is only good for selling if you recieve a faulty item you lost the money u paid for buyer protection/postage and you also have to pay out of your own pocket to return! Vinted customer service is shocking and will not do anything to help you. I am now £25 out of pocket and will amke sure i leave a review on every platform to advise people not to purhcase from here
Listed an item and clearly stated the sizing in 4 separate places, including text and photos of the labels. The item didn't fit the buyer and they asked if they could return it and I said no. They said in the message to me it wasn't my fault and they didn't check the sizing properly. They then claimed the item was 'significantly not as described' and despite me showing it was exactly as described they threatened me that if I didn't accept the return they would let the buyer keep the item and refund them the money also. They are not interested at all. Avoid at all costs unless you want a lot of stress and hassle!
Posted an item out and buyer stated delivered damaged even though it was double wrapped in plastic. Refused to return my item and said binned it. I lost my item and the postage I paid. Good site for scammers
If an item doesnt match the description, they will not help get your money back. Happened to me twice even though I had good pictures of the damage of the clothes.
New to Vinted and tried selling one used child's toy, got told they'd close my account as I was trying to sell commercially! There was no one to talk to about this so it couldn't be resolved so I closed my account for them! Also closed my trustpilot account as they wouldn't accept my review as Vinted told them it wasn't a real review and I wasn't a real person!
A good place to buy clothes, and you can get some great deals. But as soon as you have a problem the customer service is non-existent.
Had a dodgy phone call from something pretending to be Vinted, so informed them, and they blocked the account. Only thing is, I can't get back into it, despite providing all the evidence they required and more.
And you can't complain to anyone about them. So now taking them to the ICO for storing my personal data without my permission.
Purchased an item fortunately under £10 but it did not arrive. Asked seller to send picture or proof of delivery which was ignored. Vinted sent numerous forms which we completed & sent back but these also were ultimately ignored. Customer service non existent. Won't ever use again.
Terrible customer service, no refund given despite 2 parcels not being recieved. Evri asked Vinted to get in touch with them regarding this and they would not help. I wouldn't have even minded had vinted offered me the money back to my vinted account instead of a refund but this was not an option either.
I use this site alot but have noticed an increase is dishonest posts for sale. Its a great site to sell on, but as a buyer there is no protection at all. Buyers pay a protection fee, postage fees set by the seller and return fees, even if the items are falsely advertised, damaged, unfit for purpose or not even similar to the photos listed. If you want to return, it's at the sellers discretion and they then get to say if they're happy with the return or not! Customer service is non existent...unless you are a seller.
It's a great site when sellers are genuine, but unfortunately not all are and its the buyer taking all the risk.
Vinted are always on the side of the buyer! They pretend to investigate but simply refund the buyers!
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
