Vinted is set up to protect fraudulent sellers. Once you receive a worthless piece of textile in a parcel (as happended to me) you are in the sh... t.
Vinted customer protection will not issue a return label - so you have to pay with additional money for return and the seller will say that he put something different into the box. Beware! - go buy at the charity shop!

My account has been blocked just because a buyer made a complain about a dress she bought from me; she wanted a refund because it was too small for her. Although the dress it's true to size, I have explained to Vinted but they preferred to shut down my account with +500 good reviews. The customer service is awful and the rules they have to just block someone's account too.
I was due a refund from Vinted. This should have been a simple transaction! Excuse after excuse about why refund was delayed!
After a month the refund was finally paid into my account. At which time they took another 2 unauthorised payments for the same amount!
I am now having to go through the same painful process and hearing the same excuses! ‘ we are investigating' ‘we are trying to find a solution' ‘we are contacting our bank ‘

I did wonder how they made money when they don't charge any selling fees. Now o know, they just take money from people's accounts!
Vinted have consistently helped themselves to MY money literally since I joined in Feb 2021. One payment deducted EIGHT times. Another payment FIVE times. Another payment again FIVE times etc to the value of £361:05. I am disabled so essentially Vinted have stolen my Disability living money. I hope this helps people stay away from Vinted. You have NO means of contacting them other than through the App. And they are simply intractable and unhelpful. It is THEIR WAY or the high way.,.
So far i have had a positive experience with vinted, I believe its a good site for buyers and sellers, as sellers pay fees and postage but also can get things at a reasonable price. I have dealt with customer services once and unfortunately they are fairly slow to reply and i can understand the bad reviews. As far as money is concerned it all seems above board as the seller receives the funds once the item has been received and confirmed the item is as described and pictured. Yes some buyers can take time to collect orders and say its ok, as sellers can take time to send the item. All in all if you have patience and just want to make and save money I believe it is a good site, and easy to upload items. I have bought and sold items and continue to use the site happily.
I am owed £50 due to a non sender. Was supposed to recieve a refund 3 weeks ago. Cannot speak to a real person. Automated messages only. Vinted force customers to pay for buyer protection but in reality this is worthless. Most people who are saying vinted is great have most likely not hit a problem yet. Im sure lots of sales go through ok and get delivered. But... and this is a big BUT, if you hit a problem either as a buyer or a seller, you are on your own! I dont even want to give one star.
Very poor customer service. They charge so-called buyer's protection fee plus commission for themselves and in return do not offer any support in case of issues especially in cases when your items are lost or you have been frauded.

Absolutely appalling and disgraceful company. Doesn't offer any protection to sellers. They don't monitor buyers who have repeatedly cheated sellers, allowing them to damage goods and claim refunds. They do not follow their own terms and conditions, and do not respond to queries or emails. I consider myself lucky that I only lost £7, as I have seen from other reviews that others have lost much more. Disgrace Disgrace Disgrace, Avoid Avoid Avoid! Do not invest a minute of your time on this platform which will eventually die out due to the appalling way they carry out their business.

If you receive a damaged item, it's tough luck.
Have not been dealing with Vinted for too long but sellers do not seem too keen on sending the goods out quickly? Waiting for over a week sometimes and then they decide not to bothering. Then having to wait 10 days for a refund
I have sold about 9 items on vinted, 3 of them went missing I compensated one girl with a free item posted by myself so didn't make anything. (Actually had to pay out)
The other two items... well its quite impossible to get an answer from vinted, they say they will be back to you in two days. 17th Feb I sent an item its now 5th March they still haven't told me where my jacket went, the girl doesn't have her item and I don't have an answer or my money.

This is theft this should be a legal matter I am now removing all my other items o do not trust vinter or hermes at all and will not be using them again.
I sold a wallet which was successful, and was delivered the next day. I also sold two Tiffany necklaces to two separate purchasers. Both of these items entered the Hermes network over 2 weeks ago. Hermes won't respond to me, Vinted keep telling me and the buyer not to worry - the parcel will be delivered. Obviously this is a lie, and I am unable to get any support whatsoever to track these parcels. The buyer will get her money back and I'll get nothing and will have lost the items. It's a scam, nothing else and certainly not to be trusted. It's illegal what they are doing to innocent people trying to make money over lockdown. I'm going to try and report them and see how far I get. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

DO NOT USE VINTED! You will lose your time and money they have unbelievable poor customer service they will never contact you if you have issues they will respond to you very poorly and unprofessional I really advise you use Wallapop or other app or website at least worth your time and effort.
Believe me I been using it for a while and I just deleted it today!
I'm glad there's a lot of choices for professional companies that will help you out sadly Vinted isn't one!

Vinted do not protect sellers. I sent an item of clothing and the guy said he didn't receive it and cancelled the transaction. Vinted refunded his money so I am left well out of pocket unable to do anything. Will definitely not use Vinted again or recommend them.
Please do your homework and read reviews. This is an apalling site. Do not expect support from customer services when you have an issue. A buyer accused my clothes of being fake when they were 100% genuine they refunded the buyer, allowed him to keep my goods with no evidence. He had obviously done this before. Absolutely disgraceful.
This company will get you for being commercial sales (I am not, I am an individual cleaning out my very large closet full of items I no longer want and trying to make money to pay bills while I'm out of a job). They deleted half of my listings. Blocked me for week. Deleted more. Unblocked me. Took down more. Blocked me again. I went in and deleted EVERYTHING other than clothing, hair bands and then reuploaded a few pieces of jewelry that I retook the photos unprofessionally looking. I did as they asked. They permanently blocked me. What a horrible company. I don't get that they don't want their sellers to make money. What is wrong with them? I highly suggest reading all of the terrible/one star reviews because they're all true. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

They just take your money. Selling on this app sucks. United wardrobe was so much better! My order was mixed up by the seller and I had to pay and feel all the consequences. $#*! them! Leaving this app and will never using it again.
I ve bought about 10 items so far...-a couple of them were canceled and refunded by the seller ( with no reason). With the other items the deliveries take absolutely ages ( over two weeks or even more) but twice they never arrived.

Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
