The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

Wow...i cant believe that people have so many problems with vinted!
Ive been buying and selling on vinted for over a year and never had any trouble.
Nothing has gone missing in the post.
No damage to anything and mostly very fast deliveries.
The sellers are all very friendly.
I guess im just lucky then!
Vinted Canada is not a secure selling/buying platform. They are a 3rd party logistics company with no actual persons in Canada. You are not protected, they make false accusing of copyright infringement on your own photography, allow scammers to steal your items. You have no recourse as they are not located here. They should be investigated by the CRA, International Trade and charged for misleading the public in Canada of what and who they are. You cannot contact any of their head office personnel such as Thomas Plantenga "CEO" in fact, you will not be able to contact them on any platform. Run by bots. Sellers are shut down with 1000's of dollars due, now unpaid.
I sold some makeup on Vinted.
10 products all new. The buyer complained that one item was damaged in the post. See pic of the one white blusher.
Vinted as given the buyer her money back and worst of all has told her she can keep all of the makeup. I have lost out on money. They do not investigate or help in anyway. Be aware if you are thinking of selling on this site as if someone decides to say they are not happy then they can keep your items and you just get scammed.
NEVER AGAIN! I can't even explain to you how much of a headache it's been trying to prove to Vinted that a pair of New Balance trainers I purchased from Urban Outfitters are legitimate! After I made a post for the trainers, I received a message from Vinted stating that they had temporarily blocked my account as they suspect I am selling replica/counterfeit items. I immediately responded and said this was not the case and Vinted replied promptly asking me to send them pictures of the trainers from the side and the back, a close up of the tongue and a picture of the sizing label. All of which I did. I then received an email a few days later saying that I had abused their terms and conditions for the second time (which I didn't! How could I when my account is blocked?!?!) and that they were permanently blocking my account as they still believed the shoes were replica?! They didn't ask, but I felt obliged to send them pictures of the trainers AGAIN along with a bank statement to Urban Outfitters and the electronic receipt. I also asked them how they can identify replica items by pictures. These are not replica trainers and I am completely baffled over how they assume they are even though I have given them all the supporting documents they need to prove that they are not! The sad thing about it is that I paid £120 for the trainers and I only wanted £120 back as I had missed the returns date so I wasn't even trying to make profit out of them or anything! I feel extremely offended by this as I am an an honest buyer/seller and I feel like I am being treated like a criminal. If they still decide to keep my account permanently blocked I will take this further because I am 100% being unfairly treated whilst there are thousands of cons selling replica items with no bother at all!
I'd like to give no stars!
I set an account up to sell genuine items and I was blocked!
I provided all relavent information they asked for and they came back saying they wanted more pictures as it wasn't proof enough.
Stay clear of this terrible app.
Vinted Canada is probably The Worst Reselling Platform out there! Here are the reasons it sucks:
- they'll delete/block your listings for no reason at all, will also ban your account
- cannot use stock photos, but instead of letting you know, they'll block your listings
- offers aren't binding, so they mean absolutely nothing. The same person can make an Offer, then ghost, and there's no consequences
- you can't block people! How insane is this?
- there's absolutely zero customer service
- soo many unstated rules as to what you can/can't list. Apparently you can't list "handmade" items, so if handmade is written anywhere in your listing, it'll be blocked! You also cannot sell fur.
All around, the amount you sell just isn't worth the hassle! Will not continue to sell/buy on this site.
I purchased a pair of boots on Vinted, they were advertised as a size 5. When they arrived they were in fact a size 7, the seller and Vinted agreed to refund me so I returned them, … Vinted actually do have a name for this sort of return, they called it SNAD
Significantly Not As Described,
These boots were just that.
Now the seller has stopped replying to my questions about refunding my postage and Vinted refuse to help.
I'm not using Vinted again
Could not even find a phone number or email to call. Only have bots messaging you and when you finally get a real person, they only help you for like 5 minutes until a new person is scheduled to you. So it's not the same person helping you with your issue.
Had one dealing with Vinted and was sold counterfeit goods being sold as Authentic. They claim to provide buyer protection, which they charge you for but when you report the fact they are facilitating the sale of Counterfeit goods they don't want to know and claim you agreed the goods met the description. If you don't want ripped off by unscrupulous sellers avoid Vinted like the plague. I'm sure there are better and more reliable platforms who are more interested in protecting the buyer from fraud than this company
As the title says, I got blocked. I'm currently still arguing with customer support about it.
This was for counterfeit items. The item in question being a pair of perfectly real platformed Dr. Martens. When I put the listing up, I followed the suggestion of ways to prove legitimacy and took photos of the branding inside and the sizing chart on the tongue.
I put them at /less/ than half-off (for 180 quid shoes) and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my listing got revenge reported because I wouldn't sell them for £50.
SO I got blocked instantly, no warning or post takedown or anything. And apparently, photos of every whichway isn't good enough to prove they're real. On a second-hand clothing resell site. Because I'm expected to have receipts and boxes for a present I received three-four years ago.
Now I cant track my purchases, despite supposedly being able to do that anyway. I probably wont be able to cancel/get money back or anything if something goes wrong either.
Talking to customer service about this is like talking to an automated bot. They also told me I got perma-banned (again? Double-blocked lmao) for 'my second violation'- which appears to be the fact I opened a ticket about this. It took bringing that up twice for them to go 'You are within your right to file any complaint you wish, and we will make a point of cooperating whenever needed.', which isn't really addressing the fact that they said otherwise. They also list every single response as done by a dif person. Which is either bot behavior or stupid.
Reeeeeaaaally wished I'd checked this site's reviews tbh.
The actual site is made really well, which is a shame.
Even if I get my account back, I wont be going back. Just wanna actually be able to track my current orders before leaving.
10/10, incredible, amazing, reminds me of the things I hear about Paypal.
Daughter has paid £160 for coat that hasn't arrived. Was advised by VINTED to wait until Nov 1st to inform them of non receipt. Nov 1st arrived, she informed them that coat had not been received, Vinteds response was that she had been notified that delivery had been made and that she had 2 days to complain (this notification was NEVER RECEIVED).
She has still not received this coat and VINTED have said that, because she didn't complain in the 2 day period given, money was released to the seller and could not be refunded.
She can't afford to loose this money
I WILL BE TAKING THIS MATTER FURTHER
Honestly I have no words to describe how horrific this app is! I'm not sure how it's even still going, trading standards need to step in ASAP. Full of scammers both in buyers and sellers and vinted do NOTHING to help. Stay away at all costs it's not worth your time or money!
I got blocked for no reason. Does not sell fake goods like others do as I saw. Really bad app! I hate this
No solution when parcel was missing. They just noted the parcel as arrived so their problem was solved but mine wasn't.
Sent shoes didn't get paid as the buyer said they weren't wrapped properly she unwrapped them herself so I lost new shoes and not got the money do not use vinted
I do not understand why Vinted would refund buyer when I have tracking info that confirms delivery. If Vinted refunded every buyer that said they didn't receive an item even though seller has proof of delivery no one would sell on Vinted. Why am I loosing $60 when USPS is showing proof of delivery. My responsibility ends once item shows delivered. How can I be held responsible for using the shipping method that Vinted provided. Obviously it doesn't matter whether I have proof or not. Why would I want to sell on Vinted again when my first experience shows me how risky it is to sell because tracking # means nothing. Isn't a tracking # showing proof of delivery suppose to protect the seller from a buyer making claims they didn't receive. I have proof that USPS delivered package. It is out of my control once the post office confirms delivery. I am very upset. This is ridiculous! Buyer saw my listing on eBay, asked me to list on Vinted hoping that I would sell to her at a discount by saving eBay fees. She told me how much her daughter wanted the item but she couldn't pay asking price because they fell on hard times during Covid. I only agreed to go thru Vinted because I wanted to help her out. She then contacts Vinted and says she didn't get the item and demanded a refund. Mind you that USPS history confirms delivered and left on front porch. Vinted contacts me saying claim is under investigation and wanted me to send picks of package with label size of box ect. I did so and then Vinted messaged me back and says, "We're sorry to hear your package got lost. We canceled the order and refunded the buyer." WHAT, seriously! What's the point of having proof of delivery.if I could give ZERO I would! Will never sell on Vinted again!
Buy on finted is always a risk, buyer protection does not work (I had a lot of problems, there is no benefit from vinted at all). I am really don't get why they take the money from the buyers. But they are perfect at bulling the sellers. Sellers can not use photos from the Internet, for example. Ok, but how to show then the dress sit on the human? The seller must wear the goods on himself? But didn't the respected vinted think that this was at least not hygienic. Of course not, they themselves never buy anything there.

Vinted. Help close them down
11 out off 11 buys were scams. Vinted customer services are as much a joke as trying to get a refund.
Vinted do not vet sellers. One was alowed to have 3 accounts but vinted happily take money without any basic checks on sellers.
I'm looking for peole with similar stories to take a global scale joint court case out to get them closed down.
Vinted is like ebay/amazon without any safeguards and without any checks on sellers.
No phone number or email address for vinted. Just a bot with pre programed excuses.
I have no money to pay my rent this month as vinted have stolen £1200 from me and besides excuses offered no refund.
All items I paid there insurance % of the item. It is worthless.
Be aware be very aware of vinted.
Watch this space for forth coming court action against them.
I will not settle untill there shut down
Message me if interested in joining the alreast fast growing forthcoming law suit against them. UK BUt also Europe etc. Let's put a stop to this con of a company sep 2022
OH MY GOD! Canot believe it, sold a high priced game, buyer reported arrived broken. They sent picture and it showed plastic box cracked, back of game only snapped in bits, back of box unbroken and front cover and booklet that was in front of game in perfect condition. I asked for a photo of the front of the game to prove it was same game broken and that they had not replaced with a cheap game and they refused, and vinted gave them the money back straight away.
This is the worst resell site I've ever been on. They have the absolute worst customer service. Not to mention most of the items they allow are fake. To many fake accounts and people taking advantage of buyers and a company that doesn't care. Absolutely disgusting company they need to be shut down. I don't see them lasting long when Poshmark and other platforms have good customer service and care about customers. I look forward to this site going away for good!
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
