Don't Buy from this site

The site is likely very good is you sell things, terrible if you are a buyer. I was sent the wrong package, then the seller was rude when I said I could not immediately send it back. I did not get all my money back. Someone, either Vinted or the seller kept the original postal fee. Customer service non existent. Just don't use if you want to buy things.

Vinted protects sellers not the buyers. Had issues with items I purchased (e.g. Wrong size on the listing, unacceptable condition, items not being sent etc). In order to get a refund the buyer has to return the item at THEIR COST (this is not refunded)!
The site costs buyers money and frustration. Not a trustworthy site - do not believe their Buyer Protection as Buyers are NOT protected. Just a scam! Best avoid this dreadful site!
Vinted states "I fully understand that paying the return shipping costs seems unfair to you, and I am sorry. However, Vinted is a platform for connecting sellers and buyers: in no case do we organize returns. For this reason, these are done outside of Vinted, and it is the buyer who pays the costs."

Selling on Vinted is an experience verging on absurdity.
If a size is given why on earth are people asking for the measurements. Do they do the same when buying on line? I don't think so.
Items are sold at a pittance and still buyers want to negotiate the price arguing for 5Euros less on a price of 20Euro. It costs me more to sell an item on Vinted (the back and forth of messages, printing the label, going to the drop off point) than to make a seasonal trip it to a second-hand shop where my items will be sold at a far better price, faster and with less hassle. In addition, selling on Vinted takes forever, in the meanwhile the seller is stuck having to store all these clothes that are not needed anymore.
Frankly, not the best place to sell.

Vinted wont give the seller choice of who we post with, they let the customer pick & the customer picks evei the cheapest one, which is just as a bad as vinted for ratings. Then the customer gets refunded & the seller is out of pocket. I don't know what country vinted is operating from but what i can see its a big SCAM.
I will know cease business with vinted on these grounds. There is other websites that's got good customer service that goes in favour of the seller especially when you have the receipt.

I purchased an item and the money left my account. Next day seller refused to send me what I bought because I didn't have any reviews on my account (because my account was new). Also he was super rude, pushing me to transfer him money to the bank account. Then told me to educate myself, because I empathized how the platform Vinted is created to protect buyers and sellers in a way of holding the amount paid for the goods by buyers - until they received the purchased good from the seller. In this case seller was arguing with me that I want to scam him and on the top of it told me good luck buying there. I don't see a point of this seller being present on the market if he just gives you hard time and don't send the items to you ( and money still gets to be held for a week or so). Ridiculous. Pay attention and don't by anything from the seller named "seller1515" because you'll be treated as trash and the customer support didn't even allow me to leave him a bad review. If there is zero start review - that is what they deserve.

Frustrating

I have sold a few things on Vinted and that was great but its the being blocked every time I turn around for nothing, the item is fine not violating their rules then I have to message them and get it sorted.
It has happened a few to many times... Im just going to sell with Poshmark, I havent had any issues with them.

Vergognosi! Un truffa bella e buona. Obbligano l'acquirente a pagare la restituzione anche per ordini che arrivano danneggiati, o incompleti! Perché io, acquirente, devo rimetterci di tasca mia per errori di altri? A che serve la "protezione" acquisti che si fanno pagare? Non hanno contatto telefonici, e in chat rispondono solo con messaggi automatizzati. Solo i TRUFFATORI si trovano bene con servizi del genere. Vergognosi!

SCAMMERS! Awful awful company. Avoid at all costs. Tracking label they provided for shipping did not work, so I paid for my own to meet the deadline provided by Vinted. Despite the customer confirming they had received the goods the tracking also confirming, Vinted thought it would be a good idea to reimburse the customer and refuse to pay me. Their resolution is for me to re-list the item and the customer re-purchase, which of course they haven't. They are refusing to offer any further help and now no longer responding to my messages. Can you believe scammers like these operate through so called legitimate companies, just look through the thousands of negative reviews. AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS BEFORE YOU ARE SCAMMED!

Vinted use Evri as a delivery service and allow them 21 working days to get your parcel to you. If/when it doesn't arrive, you have 2 days in which to request a refund. Is it reasonable to expect a company to take almost a month to get an item to you within the UK? Customer service is absolutely shocking. Don't risk it. Use other buy/sell sites that are more reputable and customer focussed.

One of the WORST EXPERIENCES. No service all they do is play games and block your items!

JIHED who works there is VERY SPITEFUL and will find any reason to block your items. He is truly disgusting to say the least. He hates that you make money on the site. I've made close to 1k so far. All he does is pocket watch! Get a life Jihed!

I sold shoes for £75 money never been paid in to my account after I request the transfer. Vinted is saying they are still investigating my case but its like that for over 5 months. But PEOPLE WITH BAD EXPERIENCE - SMALL CASES COURT WILL RESOLVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS SO ACT NOW BEFORE IS TOO LATE

Bad experience

I invested a lot of time over 6 months ago to post my clothes with many pictures and detailed descriptions on their website. Now they blocked my account saying I posted an item that does not respect their rules but I didn't post anything for over 6 months... Could not get any help from customer service. So whatever rules they changed I can't even delete the item they are talking about cause I can't access my account. What a lost of my time! If you need to contact customer service about ANYTHING, you're definitely losing your time. It was nice at the beginning cause they had low fees and low shipping costs but it's not the case anymore.

Do not waste your time, money or efforts on this app, there are so many better ones out there. I purchased a bundle and the parcel was marked as delivered although it had not been. Vinted refused to properly investigate the situation and subsequently ignored my request for help or basic customer service. Ironically Vinted make you pay a "Buyer's Protection Fee" for every single transaction and yet did not give me any protection and clearly do not uphold consumer rights, just another a way of scamming customers. Stay well away from such a bad company.

Sellers need to be aware that Vinted sets up their sellers for failure.

If a seller posts a listing that is part of their 1000+ restricted items, they block your entire account as if you are suppose to remember all 1000 restrictive items by heart.

Sellers beware, all your hard work could vanish within minutes. They set up small business sellers for failure.

To be avoided.

I've been selling items on Vinted for 6 months now, so really I can say I tried to understand both their problems and policies. But even though I like it's free, there's always something going wrong. First they have this bug, most of the time you can't download photos and need to try again and again. What should be a 5' process can take 20' or more. Also, most of the time I can't login on my computer and must use my phone. Which is okay to sell, but the app doesn't work well (for example to filter items) so sometimes I'd like to use the computer. When a buyer makes an offer and you accept it he/she still has 24h to decide to really buy it. But meanwhile the items are blocked, no one can buy them. And I counted that 75% of offers are not respected by buyers. Actually they block items for so many reasons, it's ridiculous: as they state themselves, their prohibited items list is not exhaustive, so you discover suddenly that you're not allowed to sell books, even for kids, or cleats, or a Memory game -and you lost half an hour per object.
They also block your item if it's in the wrong category -I've seen some snow pants blocked for that reason, except there's no matching category.
Cherry on top yesterday, a jacket blocked because (and I copy paste): "Adding a picture with the measurements isn't allowed" -?

I feel I lost way too much time with Vinted, it's very disappointing. From now on I'll just use Poshmark or eBay to sell.
