Verizon sucks
June 25, 2019

For 2 wks I've been trying to buy a Verizon Samsung prepaid S8+ or a prepaid S9. Verizon is telling me I can't buy a phone outright, I have to make payments. Why would I want to make payments on a phone when I can purchase a phone, with cash? I was told Verizon will lose money if I purchase outright. On tv Verizon advertises S10 prepaid and S10 are available. Not true. Verizon and Samsung do not have any prepaid phones available. I believe that's called false advertising.

Yesterday I tried to connect a Samsung S4 that a friend gave me. The phone still works fine.
Verizon told me that they discontinued support for it because it's not 4G. This is another example of Corporate Evil as far as I'm concerned. How many people did Verizon the F over with this one I wonder? I don't want to buy another phone. I already pay the wife and daughter's Verizon phone bills.
I can't believe the government lets Verizon and other wireless companies get away with this stuff. Try to find a way to save money and they find a way to F you. I can live without a phone for now. I refuse to be screwed over any more by Verizon.

Solid service
June 23, 2019

We pay extra for their network, but it does run fast, and it's reliable 98% of the time. For us, in our city, it is the most reliable service at the time and the most costly option. Well, you get what you pay for.

SAD
June 20, 2019

Don't be fooled how they spin this. Be weary of this company apparently not all employees know what they're talking about they will change your account without letting you know, they sell you on phones and after 14days cgange Their agreement even though you have it in writing, once you're hooked they try to charge you later. We as a societee can change how they operate because numbers create the rules not companies and corporations.
Att is 1 of the items I can locate. They say my watch payment is $31 a month... and my 2 s10e phones(buy one get one)... which i ordered over the phone, i also have proof, they are charging me over $60 and it should be $30. When asked, each verizon rep, and it gets bad when you get transferred outside the US(which they do often, US people will tell you they are in the US, outside US, company policy states they're not allowed to tell you where they're at, ha google it) to someone who understands less apparently, comes up with a "new" reason why.

Terrible Company
June 10, 2019

Terrible company. TERRIBLE! I cannot say that enough. I will leave this review anywhere I can. I will waste as much time and credibility of Verizon as I can. This company deserves to go under. Too bad they are too big to fail. They need to be broken up! We used their business service and had 17 lines, SEVENTEEN. They got our billing messed up right from the start (to their favor, of course). We were overbilled roughly $5,450 over the first eight months (while waiting for non-existent "credits" which we never fully received). We were supposed to receive $2,000 in credits for the ten iPhones we purchased on top of other bill credits because our rep quoted us the wrong amount THAT WE AGREED TO in writing. Oh but that's not good enough for Verizon, nope they can do whatever they want. Over our two years with them, I spent over 45 hours on the phone chasing my discounts and credits owed.
We were told that when we canceled, we wouldn't be given our remaining balance back (roughly $440) since that was due to courtesy credits and they don't issue checks for those (even tho we were given those because they overbilled us and we paid them) -- just a terrible company with no compassion and no remorse. If you ever have to deal with the snakes in NJ that handle business disputes, your blood will boil. Threats of litigation and the like come out of their mouths. Just despicable. I will share this far and wide to make sure as many people as possible know how terrible Verizon is as a company. I'll waste as much of my free time as possible with them to make up for all the BS they caused us as a business what a joke of a company.

Got a new phone and it does not work. Been calling for 3 days. Got transferred to someone who finally was helping me. Got disconnected and he never called back. Then had to start over. Tier one employees don't even know that verizon sells palm phones. Plus he added insurance to my defunct i phone 7. Its paid for. I removed insurance over an month ago. If you have 3 hours a day talking to them you might get pissed off like me. Telling the same story overband over.

Today, my grandson went in to the Verizon store in Margate, Fl. Clay helped him and when I was called to allow the transaction Clay gave us better options than we could have ever thought about asking for. I was so impressed with his service, attitude and professionalism I wanted to buy everything that my grandson needed from him and we did. New phone. Case, screen protector, new 10 ft cord. All because Clay was awesome! Thank you Clay, Margate, Florida Verizon store.

After buying a humm device for roadside assistance (something Verizon set me up with) I found out that I already had roadside assistance through my car insurance. So I took it back the very same day and cancled it. On my bill they charged me a crazy amount! For both the device and all of the different fees that came with it. I called Verizon and they said I would getting my money back, but not until my next bill was due. In other words she said my next bill would be significantly lower than what I usually pay because I would be getting $60 taken off my normal bill. My next bill came around and it was higher than what I normally pay. So Verizon kept what they stole and charged me more than normal the following month. I'm deffinitely going to be paying for my phone outright and dropping Verizon. Here is an example- normal bill=$80 mischarged bill=$145 following bill=$100

I had to speak with 5 separate customer service reps to set up my account, 3 on line and 2 via phone each requiring that re-explain the whole situation. I manage multiple businesses with Verizon accounts but their set up for new business accounts is cumbersome and frustrating. Over an hour later, with countless IM's, and 45 minutes on a phone tree/call I have a new account but good grief, I had other things to do today.

Horrible Company
April 23, 2019

DO NOT under any circumstances consider signing on with Verizon Wireless for your cell phone service. I have had nothing but problems with them from the very beginning and I HAVE ONLY HAD THEIR SERVICE FOR A LITTLE OVER ONE MONTH! Calls to their customer reps had absolutely no effect, they will not accept responsibility for their billing errors and will not work with their customers to make sure they are happy. I signed up for the 55+ plan which is $55.00 per month and the first bill was $176.00! THEN THEY DISCONNECTED MY SERVICE because they claim they mailed me a bill which I never received. The rep shifted the blame to the postal service and told me to contact them, (again no accountability). When I stated that I have never had a problem receiving mail from everyone else, she stated well we say we mailed the bill and you state you didn't receive it so there is nothing to discuss, BASICALLY CALLING ME A LIAR. All this from someone who is purported to be a supervisor! I switched over from another cell phone carrier and this is how they appreciate my business! Again stay clear from this company. No accountability, no customer service and no customer loyalty.

Last month went to Verizon and set up a prepaid account for unlimited high speed data and a phone. After discounts they said it would cost me $55 a month plus tax. So I authorized automatic monthly withdrawals to pay the future charges. After the first automatic payment was made, I found that they had downgraded my plan without notifying or contacting me to the $30 plan and reduced my high-speed data to 1/2 GB per month, and my hot spot stopped working correctly. When I called them they said they wanted another $40 a month in order to give me the same service that they initially agree upon. What really hurts is that the process took many hours of my time which is precious. If you need to contact customer service allocate 2-4 hours. I would not recommend verzion to anyone if you have a viable alternative.

Bogo scam
March 28, 2019

Verizon offers buy one get one free deals telling customers it will take up to 3 months to credit payments to the account. They never credit account. When contacting customer service they then claim phone does not qualify for promotion. They flat out lie to customers and steal your money.

Verizon's downright a garbage company.

Sending me two refurbished phones that didn't work. One with a bad charging port another with a cracked screen and they expect me to continue to take a refurbished phone.

Best part is, I just found out that after I sent back the one today with the damaged screen I had to fight to make them waive the charge for returning a damaged device. Oh, and better yet I have to contact and remind them after the charge goes on my account.

Garbage customer service for average at best service. They don't care about the customer.

Verizon BOGO Scam
March 1, 2019

In July I ordered 2 iPhone 8s one for me one & for my son and as part of the BOGO promotional offer. I was required to add a new line which I did (for my son). I was assured I qualified for the deal by the sales rep at the time. I've been charged FULL PRICE for BOTH PHONES every single month since then. I've spoken to customer service 3 times on the phone/chat for over an hour and they keep saying they'll take care of it, keep in touch on the progress and nothing happens. Today a supervisor tells me it was escalated and they've denied the request to honor the BOGO deal?- somehow I don't qualify & now there is there is nothing I can do. I said OK I want to send both phones back and cancel my account - "you can't send the phones back ma'am it's been to long." Who's fault is that? I am not the first person to report this SCAM! I will be switching to Creedo or AT&T before the end of this billing cycle. I do not have time to sit on the phone and argue with Verizon customer service over my bill every single month as others have reported. Very disappointed as I have been a LOYAL Verizon customer for years but this is ridiculous, they have lost my business. Worst customer service ever! This company does not deserve anyone's business. They lie and scam existing customers.

Bought a new smart phone in August 2018, it stopped working Feb. 2019. It is under the manufacturer's warranty. They will send me another phone---new NO, certified like new, USED!, phone. I am still paying for the new phone i bought but through no fault of mine I will finish paying for that new phone while owning a used phone. My mistake for not reading the replacement policy but in my defense they had always treated me right until now. What a HUGE RIP OFF!

Verizon unlimited prepaid is like having 2G super slow, I just found out they use CDM like Sprint and not GSM like Tmobile. I hate Sprint and now I hate Verizon. Only good thing is I can get service better inside buildings and in areas Tmobile can't but super slow. Like Sprint Verizon is using a tactic to force you to upgrade spend more. Also as soon as I switched to Verizon I began receiving a lot of telecommuting calls and from different callers who also have Verizon. I guess their super fast internet service is only for competition to beat other companies but it's not for us. Goodbye for good Verizon going back Tmobile or At&t

I was having problems with AT&T so I went over to the Glastonbury Verizon store and dealt with a woman named Rachel who does not know her $#*! from her elbow. She told me that stuff was free and then I got billed for it. She also told me that there was no time limit that I could bring my devices back in for a trade-in. I have a devices with me two times she said don't worry about it we can do it anytime. Also I signed up for a paper bill to be delivered to my house every month, when I haven't been receiving the bills I contacted Verizon and they told me they could send them to me but I would have to pay for them. Why should I have to pay for something that I signed up for if Rachel doesn't know how to her job properly? Then I'm informed that I only have 30 days, And that time period is already up. Verizon added $200 to my bill a couple of months ago and still no exclamation as to why. I really wish this review had zero stars because that's what they deserve for the customer service and their ability to help.
