They don't even deserve a 1 star. The worst company I've ever had to try to deal with. Customer service is abominable IF you wait for 45 minutes on hold (while listening to the most ANNOYING 30 sec. Riff EVER! -especially for 45 minutes!) trying to talk to a human. When I finally reached them, they told me I had to pay a full months service, even though I only used 1 week in that billing cycle. WHAT A PILE OF BS! Don't waste your money. Go to xfinity and pay less while being able to reach someone to speak to with very little time and effort.
We moved over 5 lines and purchased 5 phones. From the beginning it was a disaster. They cancelled the order, reinstated it, canceled it again. Every person we spoke to had a different story. The most frustrating company I've had to deal with. I have a suggestion: The CEO should go under cover and try doing business with his company. Finally cancelled and am happy for it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PISS POOR COMPANY. THEY CANT DELIVER.
I unfortunately am still with Verizon due to the contract but I HATE my phone. I originally wanted the galaxy, they were out so he brought me a plus one phone. He said it was comparable to Galaxy. So I went with it. I went back to the. Office literally one day later and there was nothing he could do. So now I'm stuck paying for a phone I hate with a two year contract with a company who obviously values sales above customer service. I'm out as soon as this contract it up. Worst decision as far as phones and service are required
I would give them zero stars if that was possible. Far and away the worst customer support I have ever had with any company of any type. No idea how they remain in business.
I was with Verizon for about 19 years. I needed a new phone and a lower price on my monthly bill so I called to see what Verizon could do to retain my business. They said they could do nothing on lowering the monthly bill even if I agreed to a long term contract. And their "discount" on a new phone was very insignificant. Hence, they lost my business. I bought a phone thru Affirm and went to a re-seller named "Visible", a company who uses the Verizon Network but charges $40 for unlimited talk, text, and data... all fees included in the $40 per month. There is NO monthly contract with Visitble.
Then, in today's mail I received a flyer from Verizon saying that if I would "come back" they would give me up to $700 toward the cost of an iphone 12 Pro AND pay up to $500 to help cover the cost to switch back to Verizon. I find that tact insulting and as irritating a a new hemorrhoid. I attempted to call Verizon customer service to expressly state my displeasure in no uncertain terms, but as usual I could not get through. So I am writing this review instead.
My recommendation: Any and all Verizon customers would be better served to move their service to Visible. I can tell no difference in the quality of phone service but I DO notice a huge difference in my monthly bill.
As far as the idiot who made the policy of not working with long term customers to retain their service while offering all kinds of incentives to ex-customers to come back to Verizon... he or she needs to lose their job. All I wanted was some reason to stay with Verizon. Now I will never consider coming back. I see that there are much better alternatives service-wise, quality-wise, cost-wise and customer-service wise.
I am NOT being paid for this review; I have no connection to Visible or to any company at all. I am just happy to be rid of Verizon and I find their business strategy to be extremely distasteful..
My Verizon services had been really bad the past year or two, my phone will not ring half the time people say they calle several times before it actually rings on my end, then if it does come through I get dropped constant, so annoying I pay over 100 a month for one phone plus my phone was very costly I'm just tired if Verizon taking my money and the service sucks
They do not care to help their customers- I was a Verizon customer for 20 years - They used to care. Over charged - International plan is horrible - removed my Verizon SIM card while I was out of the US and was still charged daily - they don't care. I recommend Finding anyone else but Verizon - currently seeking a new cell phone provider
While purchasing a new phone, I was promised a 300.00 gift card. I never received it when I switched over.
NOT RELIABLE! SWITCHING to another provider! Putting our loved one in danger! I was paying for international plan for 3 months over $700 just to find out that Verizon put the block on the phone the first week our family member went abroad! Our loved one who is senor had no way to call back home in case an emergency and couple health scares that actually happened! After calling Verizon and telling that phone does not work they were suppose to fix it and nothing happened. Thank God our family member is back with us! We were worried sick! Never AGAIN we will be using Verizon! After being loyal customers for YEARS to get such a sh@@ treatment... we are OUT! Verizon only worried about $$$$ never people
I originally went in to find out what was wrong with me Google pixel and the associate talked my husband and I into purchasing edge plus phones. We were told we could return in 30 days no questions asked. The phones cut out when you are talking on them and they drop calls. We took the phones back within the 30 days and we were basically told after some trouble shooting to continue to use the phones and made to feel that we could not return them. Also during the purchase I inquired about Google pixel with 5G and was told Google pixel did not have 5G but now I see through commercials that statement is not true. I placed her rating and received response back asking that I send them the details I did so and still have not heard anything from anyone. We have been several years with Verizon but as soon as we are done with these phones we will be trading services. I am very disappointed that we have been faithful to Verizon but they have not been faithful to us. It seems to me that the seller had one thing in mind and that was to just cell phones regardless of their quality.
I wish I could click negative. This is the absolute worst service. Their customer service is horrible. Their websites and apps are even worse. No Preferences stay saved. They constantly ask for new passwords, over and over again and when you call them you get put on hold for someone who doesn't even help you.
I want to start off by saying I have been with Verizon on and off for over 10 years. They used to be great, but not any more.
I called 4 times this morning, cannot reach a live person.
My phone says not registered on a networks so I can make or receive calls.
I tried the chat. The first person Ed never responded in the chat from the beginning.
2nd chat, CSR would go missing for minutes at a time without notice.
Then in the process of troubleshooting he had me Reset my network connections. What he did not inform me of is that it would DELETE all my saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networks.
I have many paired Bluetooth devices, from Samsung watches to my Tesla to speakers and headsets to my cycling computer. Resetting those means I lost all my connections. I lost watch data, watch faces and have to setup 3 watches from scratch, a 30 minute process each.
After all this I still have no reception!
Now 2 hours into trying to get working service and got hung up on during a call transfer.
We recently switched to Verizon with the promise that our bill would be almost $100 less than it was with AT&T. We should have known something was up when the phones we asked about weren't on a promo. Instead we were talked into a phone that neither of us ended up liking. In addition the discount we were told we would receive if we had these phones has not shown up on our bill. Neither has the discount that we were promised on the Apple phone we purchased for our daughter. I have not received my first responder discount and we haven't been able to connect with Hulu through Verizon which we were also told would happen after having service for a month. Pretty much our commission based salesman talked us into something that is not what we were promised. I would not recommend Verizon to anyone else.
If they get your payment through the mail one day late they start threatening you with suspension.
They did this during the early days of cv19 even.
I have a great credit history and these people are scumbags.
Seriously. I have only been with them 30 years. The party is over.
For the past four days I have had the worst experience in my life with customer service on the phone I spoke with nine people spend that hours nobody is able to help even when I try to get a manager they promise you one thing but then when they hang up something else happen I have been with Verizon for more than nine years but I am cutting off my home line and wireless I just want people to know that this is the worst company that you would pay your money to
Wife got new 5G phone 2 months ago and wasn't getting any calls, text or video calls called after first month spent hour on phone with Verizon said thay fix it. Also had problem with orbic jet pack. Two days later same issue with phone. Call them two days ago RIP $#*!ting mad threatening to go to small claims court. All of a sudden they find out her Sim card is out of date. They overnight me a new one and said all I have to do is put it in and it will work. Ya didn't happen had to call and spend another hour on phone to have it activated. I asked about a credit for the month the cell didn't work They said I got one for last month. No $#*! cause phone didn't work and another month went by so I should get another credit. Verizon is crap and there pushing 5g in areas that have no 5g. I guess I'm going to go to small claims after all. Good luck with these scammers
They give new meaning to "NO CUSTOMER SERVICE" Moved all phones to T-Moble have been trying for a month to resolve problems - cant get anyone on the phone and tossed out of a Verizon store because I asked for help - and I was nice, just asked them to call for me when I said that I did not have the time to wait an hour on the phone. She said "well neither do we" escorted me to the door and told me to have a blessed day.
I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon based on what a sales rep quoted me, on their cell phone plan and a 55 plus promotion being offered. I made the purchase only to find out after the fact that the promotion does not exist for more then 2 lines of service. Then after calling numerous times, I was informed that I would be offered a comparable plan allowing up to 6 lines as an exception for my inconvenience, I was even given a reference number as well. Only to find out that the reference number does not exist, I have basically been told tough luck. Stay away from Verizon they have no ethics in doing business, they will say anything to make the sale or get rid of the customer Buyer beware!
Don't take my word for it. Following Verizon's instructions, I type "speed test" into Google and hit the button initiating the test. Judge the results for yourself on a brand new 5G Verizon version Samsung phone, parked right outside a college downtown. The Verizon chat agent said 1.5 Mbs is SLOW, as did Google's speed test. So Verizon asked me to do 2 more speed tests, and you see the screen shot of the last of 3 tests. 0.5 Mbs download speed, 3x slower than Verizon considers "defiantly unacceptably slow." See for yourself.
After a year of problems Verizon never responded to, I got through to a Verizon manager. Shortly thereafter their technicians confessed to what my speed tests showed all along. They worked on it. It worked ONE DAY, and failed thereafter, and has sense then. I continue to get ZERO upload speeds (their network ignores my keystrokes completely), HUGE ping delays (web page after page crashes, even hospital web pages needed to schedule Covid tests won't load). Verizon's ongoing, neverending failures could literally cost lives. They just don't care. I pay every month for UNLIMITED data. Avoid Verizon like the plague.
I conduct an independent speed test every week or two of Verizon's supposed 4G data from home. Download results are about 5% of the proper speed, 18 times slower than advertised. By definition, 4G should be 12 Mbs says Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4G?wprov=sfla1. See attached speed test taken from my home where Verizon download speed was 0.11 Mbs with only 30% stability.
Zero upload speed with zero stability means no internet surfing because my keystrokes never get sent out. Massive ping delays literally off the scale at 999 milliseconds also cause website crashes. Compare the fast test of 20.64 MBS download with the slow 0.94 MBS download right after it. Those were taken 2 miles apart and 5 minutes or so apart, all else exactly the same. On the Interstate freeway where you can't use the phone, the network works fine (20.64 MBS), but downtown their network is worthless (0.94 MBS, the fastest in a long time from home, but WAY under 4G), but they refuse to even troubleshoot it for the past year. My phone itself has been tested by multiple Verizon experts in several of their stores and unanimously they said there is nothing wrong with my phone. All speed tests are conducted at my home located on a major thoroughfare 2 blocks from the heart of down town. I just gave up on a chat with their customer service lasting nearly 2 hours yet featuring only 4 texts from them in that time, asking for information they have repeatedly been given.
A second 2 hours goes by with no response from Verizon, and I give up. Horrible customer service. One evening I had a file to download which should have taken 1 minute. Six network failures in a row, and 4 hours later, the download is a total failure. In 4 hours Verizon has not even answered their own chat help line. The next day I use McDonalds WiFi and download that file in 45 seconds. I have filed multiple complaints with the Better Business Bureau against Verizon. Verizon doesn't care one bit.
Verizon has made 10,000 duplicate contacts on my Samsung phone, scrambled my data, added their own profile pictures, and destroyed 15 years of contacts!. I have spent 7 hours with five different people. I was sent to tier two. They said they do not know what the problem is and sent me to Samsung. Samsung identified that the problem was with verizon cloud, had me take a scrren shot to prove the point. So, I called Verizon once again and was recommended to go to tier two after 2 very long waits. Both times I got connected and then... dropped. This is now 9 hours, no one can help me and every time I go to tier two I get disconnected. The Samsung guy laughed and said that after Verizon blamed Samsung it was their own program causing all of the corrupted data. I have 10 years of important data, screwed up. The backups are also corrupted. Now we are looking to see how many contacts Google has saved. Verizon used to be the best. Now, the worst! If I hear their message about unusual volume
of calls one more time! HELP!
