I've ordered from Venus.com several times and never had a problem. I have not like certain items due to the fabric or the way it fits but simply returned it with their shipping label. They take shipping charges from the amount returned but I already know that by shopping online. Great site, easy to return if there are issues with the clothing.
Ok people that are writing negative reviews,, please look you don't pay much for the nice clothes you get a good quality., if your lazy and put them on the washer then put them on the dryer they well shink,, I did these ones bout now I wash them in gentle wash then let them air dry to take care of my items,,, is just like anything,, so far I love every single piece of clothing I have bough,,, I'm not rich so the prices are with in my spence range and budget,,, love Venus,!,, we'll keep buying my items here,,,,
I order about $250.00 worth of clothes every winter to make a wardrobe that I know is new, ready to wear, new style, always a jumpsuit (because I get many compliments when I wear them so Thank you Venus!) sweaters to wear with jeans 2 cute winter sweaters, 2 sexy sweaters, long sweater/cardigan.
Last year it was H&M. I am a VENUS girl as their clothes fit MY body type which is normal.
I have bought swim suits, cover ups, shirts, from VENUS and I have loved every single item. I started looking for a replacement for VS (Victoria Secret) as their message isn't what I want. I want clothes that compliment my body... which remember is normal.
VENUS is half the cost of VS. VENUS clothes are made better than VS. The only reason why VS is bigger and "known" is because they have a huge marketing budget. VS is all about THEM. Venus with their customer care service, they care and it shows.
So yes shop at VENUS!
I am a Canadian Customer ordering from Vancouver, British Columbia.
I made an order to Venus for my entire wardrobe in my upcoming vacation to the south, selecting the delivery option of 3 to 5 business days. The only potential delay is that the order will be subject to credit card authorization - completely normal and expected. My credit card was charged successfully, and I had pre-paid for the customs and duties on October 26th. Per Venus's site, my order should then be on its way and arrive in 3 to 5 business days.
It is now 6 business days later and I reached out to Venus's support. I am only now told the order will not be arriving until well after I have left to go on the vacation. The items will be arriving 10 business days later to be precise. Apparently, the business days only start counting after the items get into Canada. Where does it say that? Nowhere. Not even in the fine-print.
Another thing to note - there is no currency listed anywhere on the site. All amounts are in USD.
I'm asking for a full refund, but they will not be doing that until the items are returned after I receive the package and mark it as "return to sender". I will not be in the country to receive the package. How am I going to get my refund?
Canadian customers be warned - the shipping is much longer than you are expecting, and the amounts are in USD.
Love to dress in Venus summerwear! A little disappointed in the fall- winter line. Purchased two sweaters that are very itchy and one that is a bit loosely goosey. Please think about your textures and fabrics when designing your future sweater line. Thank you.
I buy a ton of my clothes from this site. Almost everything that you see on line is what they sends you. I would recommend them in a heart beat. The are fashionable current, sexy and very stylish.
I have ordered from Venus a few times & I am completely satisfied with their article of clothing (jacket, coat, cardigan sweater, shirts, pants & sleep wear) everything fits me quite well & I have gotten plenty of compliments wearing them!
I'm so pissed I was waiting on what Venus calls a jacket for $59! I've spent way less $ at Nordstrom or Macy's that was a designer. I've tried them twice & have not been satisfied. I'm done! The "jacket" is of a see thru material & poorly stitched together. The pockets were stretched & shredded, the back seam was falling apart. The button at the neck was stretched. Don't waste your money.
I ordered what I thought looked like a gorgeous coral maxi dress for my daughters wedding. It was on sale for $22.00. I thought "how lucky am I?". Haha, what a joke! It was not lined, completely see through and the large was big enough for an elephant. I was charged $22 for the dress, $1.62 (wrong amount) for tax and $4.95 for P&H. When I returned the dress, they credited my credit card $16.37! WHAT? Yes, $22 for dress, $1.32 (right amount, of course) for tax and $6.95 for return label. Why did I pay more to ship it back then it was to ship it to me. All in all, the was difference was $12.20! BBB WILL BE NOTIFIED! I have a business and this is not the way to run one!
Was Very disappointed in my order. Looked nothing like the pictures in the catalogs. I think their clothing is so overpriced. And also does not wash well. So mislead.
I am a log standing customer of Venus and have not ordered from them since 2 christmas 's ago. I am sad to see such poor quality clothing sent out when your books are so beautiful and display such what looks like nice quality clothing. Return policy is noy good either. The swim suit moderate bottoms have changed over the years too for the worse. I know one opinion may not matter. I needed to let someone know. Thank YOU Heidi Oskin
Good evening. I just called the 1800 number and spoke with Lee at 11:12 pm on October 9,2015 explaining that I mailed a box with the VENUS UPS label on September 23,2015.
On Tuesday, October 6 is was returned to my office. I just had time to open the box to realize to my horror that the box contained my returned items with the receipt.
I called Lee. He claimed he could not hear me. I spoke slower and clearly. I have a Jamaivan accent. He said maybe I did not use the right label. This is VERY INSULTING to say to a medical doctor who had ordered and returned clothes to Venus over the past FOUR years that I did not use the right label.
I told him I took a picture of the box when I dropped it off to USPS. He asked me for the tracking number. I told him it was blurry. I will forward this email with the picture to you. Before I could finish reading off the numbers to him he rudely interrupted me "that is not our label".
I asked for a supervisor. He said "why are you so defensive?" I asked 3 more times for a supervisor. I told him that I would not tolerate his racist comments. Just because I have a Jamaican accent, does not give him the right to dismiss my problem as my being TOO DUMB to use the right label.
Then I wait 5 mins to hear there are so supervisors available. So one will call me back.
Up to now he has not said "ma'am I am sorry for the inconvenience. I simply need VENUS to send me a return label. Have UPS come pick it up. I Good evening. I am a busy physician who will not go to the post office again. I will NOT pay to return it again.
I place my order and paid extra for rush delivery because I couldn't wait to get my new clothing. I bought four dresses to choose from for an upcoming wedding a Sweater and a maxiskirt.
Sad to say the dresses were very poor and cheap quality like something you would find in a bodega shop in a shady neighborhood for $10. One of the dresses was completely see-through! Like who is actually wearing this? Then there's the $59 sweater. Looked expensive and worth $59 on the Catalog but When I saw it I felt like a dumbass for paying $59. I wouldn't pay $8 for it tops that's how cheap it looked. The maxi-skirt, I can make it work and that's the only thing I got out of this bad deal.
The Only good thing is that I get a full refund.
I feel that the quality of the clothes that I purchase is excellent it will last long and definitely looks great on me I tried it on as soon as I got it. I will definitely purchase more.
I have probably ordered 10-15 times from Venus and every single time I have been more than satisfied. The dresses fit well, travel well, and I always get tons of compliments. The fit is great and I have never had problems with the quality (that being said, I wash but do not dry any of the dresses I have bought from there). The XS or size 2 always fit me to a T ( I am 5'9 and weigh between 125-130). I have never had to exchange anything so I can not speak to the many reviews that have had negative experiences in that area. What I can say is that especially for maxis, these dresses are a great deal. Dresses that would cost me between 100-150 elsewhere, I can get for between 29-50 here.
Generally, they have cute clothes. Not necessarily really well made, other than the bathing suits which I've always been happy with.
I am totally surprised by the Negative reviews! I have ordered numerous items from Venus and had to return/exchange a couple of things, and I have not been disappointed once! Their prices are GREAT, their Service has been GREAT! The ONLY reason for returns and exchanges is because i vary on "how" things fit me. I am 4'11 and 113lbs. And when you look at the models I don't always judge how what I'm ordering is going to fit ME. Thats certainly NOT their fault... It's always been the story of my "clothing life"! In General however, I can wear a good amount of their line even though it is not petite!
I have ordered from Venus a few times and each time has been a huge disappointment. The clothing material is extremely cheap and the craftsmanship is horrible. The clothing either fell apart or faded after the first few washes. Knowing this, I still ordered a pair of boots from their most recent fall catalog. Here we go:
The boots in the catalog looked beautiful. There were gorgeous details on them. The buckles were a very classy touch... I could not wait to get them... and then yesterday, they arrived.
The boots were made out of some type of horrible and cheap plastic looking material. Sure, the description of the boot was labeled as synthetic but I did not think too much about the word. I have a few pairs of shoes labeled as synthetic... but these boots were a joke! Those suckers were returned before the sun went down that day... Do your self a favor, keep away from their boots... and alot of other things... They are changing you out the $#*! for things and their merchandise is totally worthless... I am not trying to be mean or slam anyone... but I would hate for someone else to fall into this synthetic boot trap~ :)
I ordered 5 dresses from Venus.com two out of the 5 were simply unwearable. They were very cheap looking and had horrible quality. I returned these two dresses and since I had used a promo code they adjusted my return minus the promo code I had used. I am very upset as NO other company does this. DO NOT ORDER FROM VENUS! Order from Express or the Limited instead. Much better quality and customer service.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens. Just because I am 53 does not mean I want to dress "old". LOVE Venus clothes. Their returns are fine too, I found them easy and friendly to work with. Hope this helps. Smiles, Joanne
