Made an order in November. In January was told I wouldn't receive the package until I payed custom fees even though I was given a choice to pay them at the door(that's a lie). I payed over $100 of custom fees and at the end of January received an email that the package has been returned. Never received my order and waisted money on god damn fees. The worst experience ever. I have never dealt with such a horrible website.
01/14/2017 I ordered 4 items from this website. 2 days later I got email that one of the items is back order, ok cool, expecting 3 items. On 01/20/2017 I got my package only 2 items was mailed to me. I kept calling them, they will hang-up the phone on me. After freaking 1 1/2 hours on hold, I finally got so called customer service, ghetto deplorable of a human being on the phone. She acted as if she was doing me a favor. Extremely rude. What really got me is the fact that they knew they only sent me 2 items out of 4 items that i ordered. I asked that so called rude customer service person, when would my credit card be refunded. " whenever I godamn ready to put it back"
Get this the most expensive of the items is the one that didn't make it!
Sad part is its my fault, I have had at least 4 bad experiences with this people for the past 5 years. I kept telling myself, maybe they have changed. Someone probably already told them, clue them to do better?
This time I am fighting back!, mad as $#*!, this people gonna hear from me.
I will not be placated and go away. They will hear me roar. Every avenue available i will let the people know to stay away and save themselves headaches
I have looked at this site many times and always loved the look of the clothing, finally I ordered, the one dress I really wanted did not have my size so I got just one Coat Dress- its like a very long blazer or suit-jacket dress. On the site it looks very classy and pretty in the photo.
I received the Jacket yesterday and it took about maybe 5-6 days to ship which is expected for standard shipping so no complaints there. The dress/jacket itself came back very similar to the photo, it's not necessarily bad quality but it's also not what I would expect based on the retail price. It looks pretty on, but is a bit loose. I'm about 118 lbs, 5'6 and typically a size 2 will fit me perfectly if not a bit snug so I was surprised as a US size 2 this wasn't very true to size. Aside from the fit, which I can always have altered, there was a slight deviation from the photo to my expectations where the buttons appear to be darker on the dress or black. This is what I thought and when i received the item the buttons were actually the same color as the dress itself which I got in a light/medium grey. I know this isn't huge but I think it would've looked a bit less cheap had the buttons actually been a darker or black color and I was a little disappointed by that small deviation from the photo online.
Overall, if the dress/jacket was priced maybe $10-12 cheaper, I would say it was worth it. However for the prices, I think you could go somewhere more reputable who charges very similarly but the quality is actually there.
My mom purchased a couple of tops for my 15 yr old daughter, they seemed to be too grown up for her so we found two tops and a pair of boots (in which I would owe money). I filled out the exchange form, but there was no where to put my credit card number since I owed money, I read the exchange policy and they said I had to call. Customer service told me I had to send off the items and then my mom would be contacted by email so then she would have to let me know with the exchange. I did not want my moms feelings hurt by letting her know that we did not like the items she purchased. The customer service girl said sorry its our policy. I am shocked on such an easy process to exchange something can be so difficult, time consuming and embarrassing to the person who purchased. I will never order from this company again and will get the word out by mouth, and as far as other reviews, customers were not happy for other reasons. So if you don't want to know your exchanging a gift then don't order.
I just received a magazine in the mail and thought the items were pretty cute. Too bad this company has so many bad reviews. Unfortunately they outweigh the good ones by a lot. I won't be ordering. Thanks for the heads up.
I ordered a dress for my Granddaughter before Christmas. It was on backorder but was too arrive the first week in Jan. 2017. Charge taken out of my account, still no dress. When I called about it, was told they never got the order. Checked the online account no back order history. Was told order number would be on the charge in my account but of course it wasn't. Called my bank today to dispute charge. They lost a good customers as I prefer to shop online but never from them again. I can accept mistakes but not outright lies.
So I placed an order over $100 and received free shipping as well as a first time customer $10 off. I returned 2 bathing suit tops and a coverup that didn't fit. They charged back the original $7.95 shipping that I am now not eligible for as well as $6.95 to ship it back and they took back the $10.00. I have 2 items at home that I was going to keep, but now they are going back. Obviously I will never order from them again. I have never heard of such an insane return policy. Buyer beware!
I had not ordered from Venus and was very skeptical, especially after reading some of the terrible reviews. My order arrived in a very timely manner, I was more than pleased with the 5 dresses!. They fit my figure perfect, true to size. The colors, vivid bright. For The style, price and a trendy look you can't beat it!
I must start off with the clothes are absolutely beautiful and somewhat pricey depending what you buy. The shipping was reliable also... I have around 500 to 600 dollars worth of clothing out. My first package was to arrive dec17th. And I wished I had called about earlier. So then I decided I would order another package of clothes thinking maybe my online order just never went through earlier. Well... it did. It has around 250 or 350 dollars worth of clothing. Second order 200 dollars. To be fair my second order should arrive as normal. I've just lost confidence with the shipping. And I won't order agin. I just won't. It's up to other women to make up their minds if they still love Venus. I'm just saying the company does not give a crap about my order or how much money I'm out. I'm just sick over it. Oh and yes they have forgot to fill the order completely in the past but always managed to fix the problem. I think I will just stick to local stores and stay away from large manufactures because they don't care. They just don't care that some woman is out a lot of money. Again to be fair the first package is my worry and the second I'm not confident in receiving. Dang it. Larger companies will not have the best service at issues like this. They aren't prepared for large volumes of problems. So I've learned my lesson. Hsn has it together they are huge retail service and much more reasonable and you would think so with Venus. Not true. Never again. And I'm sorry to say it's not great. And not my fault.
I ordered 4 dressed for a Hawaii cruise I will be taking the dresses were beautiful quality material, I usually wear between a medium and large I could definitely fit in the mediums perfectly from Venus I will definitely be ordering from them again very soon. Also I paid the two day shipping to make sure I got them before my trip and they came just as promised.
I ordered a dress from Venus on December 13th, I paid $13.00 extra for two shipping... it said my Oder went through and I should be receiving it by December 15th. After a week past and I still didn't receive it I contacted the company who told me that my dress was on back order and said it would be shipped out on December 29th. Today I called and they said it was still on back order and would be until the week of January 13th! They also were still trying to charge me for my two day express delivery because they said after the dress was no longer on backorder I don't as going to get it within two days! It's been over a month already $#*!s! I hate this company and will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!
Never again! I placed an order on December 12 for 6 items to be delivered to Canada just in time for Christmas or New Year. Today is Jan 9 2017 and I still did not get the order. One of the items is put on hold for Jan 20. I called to complain and they told me they sent me a different email that requested that I pay custom duties in a separate payment. The email got lost in a dozen of other emails that advertise their merchandise. Horrible customer service -they blamed me. Strongly advise not buying from them.

And blouse with zipper change the color after 1 week
And black dress really bad quality.
As well you paying for the custom to ship in Canada and you paying return fees.
Same thing happened to me! So pissed! I should have just kept the items for what I ended up getting credit for! Never again!
Placed an online order for over $350 worth of clothes called to check staus they needed approval from my husband which he gave and was told they would ship within a week waited two more weeks NOTHING so called again to check staus to find they cancelled my order called my hubby to make sure he didn't cancel the order-he did not! Called Venus asked to speak to a supervisor complained to the supervisor and she hung up on me! So very disappointed-needed summer clothes for a vacation got nothing but $#*!ty service! DO NOT order from Venus-they suck!
I've been a Venus customer for a few years. I really like them. I realize the quality isn't that wonderful but it's not horrible. I always get compliments when wearing clothing from them. Sometimes it takes a little longer to receive my shipment or maybe a mixup happens... but that happens in life. I have ordered items that when I received them didn't look great on me or I wasn't happy with the quality but that also happens when I shop at the mall. Overall I've always been happy with their customer service and they always credit my returns in a timely manner.
Honestly... I like Venus and I'll continue to shop with them.
Ive been purchasing at the very least a couple hundred dollars worth of clothing from venus yearly for about the last 7 years and been extreamly happy. This last year however was a completely diferent story. The quality was ridiculously poor. When the clothes came in they looked more like something from those fly by night Chinese knock offs on those supercheap websites online. I couldnt believe it. I had at least 7 items come in and only one was wearable! They were either wayyy too small or a shirt i could wear in Miami on a hot summer day rather then the sweater material it claimed. Im so so so disapointed. I loved shopping here...
I also ordered a package 2 weeks before Christmas. I called them a day before to make sure I'd receive everything in time. They stated that they hadn't sent it out yet. They could "overnight" it but because of the holiday and weekend, it would take 4 days to receive the clothing. No thanks. Please cancel my order. Never mind.
The representative was nice and said that there was a glitch but no one could call me? Email? I had to call them to find out there was a problem. They were going to compensate me with a gift card worth less than 10% what I paid. Like, I said, never mind.
Attempted to return $80 worth of clothing, using the return label provided by Venus. They "never received" the clothing, continually closed my complaints, and refused to refund my money. Terrible customer service, don't waste your money on this company.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens. Just because I am 53 does not mean I want to dress "old". LOVE Venus clothes. Their returns are fine too, I found them easy and friendly to work with. Hope this helps. Smiles, Joanne
