Okay- I ordered over $100 worth of bathing suits for vacation (about 4 weeks in advance).
Issue # 1: They charged my credit card twice (claimed it was their banks fault).
Issue # 2: NEVER received my order! Said the package was delivered and it wasn't.
Issue # 3: Said they would overnight me a new order. THAT ORDER WAS NEVER RECEIVED EITHER!
ISSUE # 4: When I requested a refund because I was leave for vacation the following day and STILL haven't received the original or the replacement order... they stated it needed to go through an investigation to be refunded. So basically i spent $100 on a headache.
Overall, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.
Was charged for a shipping charge when charge is included with total amount. Customer service did not try to work with me. I'm an A1 paying customer. Only owed $6.95 but it was the principle of the thing. Will not be ordering from them anymore.
I placed an order a week and a half ago and it's taking an absurd amount of time to get to me. It says i should receive my order in another week. Thats 2 and 1/2 weeks i'm waiting for a package... so far it seems like the customer service is $#*!ty and I wouldn't waste my time ordering from them again
Absolutely horrible service and clothing. Not worth $5.00. The clothing is shipped directly from china and not even wearable. When I contacted them, the guy that answered is extremely rude. So I'm letting my credit card company handle the dispute. Don't order from here.
If you order from Venus, make sure the clothing will fit because when you send it back you may not get refunded. And they charge $6.95 to send it back. They have no idea where your package is. Oh well atleast I'm only out $30. Lesson learned. Never ordering from this site again.
I have ordered several dresses over the years from Venus and I have never had a problem, I loved them. I wear a size 6 and they looked great & fit me perfectly. I have only had to return one item, a shirt (looked cheap) and I had no problem getting a refund. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews. I recommend try it for yourself.
I love to shop on Venus.com. I'm not saying that everything is perfect but they are good. The only thing is- they are a bit expensive. They always put a return slip with the shipment, they also return the money fast, the customer service answers the phones and emails.
Next, the sizing is pretty accurate. Sometimes items run big but that happens even if you go the store it's just you can take the right size right away. I always read what's the textile of the clothes because the items really look good on the photo.
Overall, I haven't had any problems with Venus so far.
I feel that with buying online sometimes you have to send stuff back. Because multiple reasons fit, quality. Venus is terrible with returns. I am waiting on back ordered sandals. Which said on my history were shipped when after almost 3 weeks I finally called and they said it was Back Ordered. Needless to say I was not happy with the way they handled the call even speaking to a supervisor. This is my last purchase for over priced merchandise and poor quality.
I have tried Venus multiple times in hopes that maybe I was just unlucky. However, after four to five orders from this company, I have come to the conclusion that their products are cheap quality at department store prices. Unfortunately, I have placed my final order with this company and will not order from them again. I have ordered everything from swimsuits, coverups, dresses, jackets, and shoes. All of which were extremely over priced for the quality. I will stick with real department stores.
I love venus. They have great items and customer service. I have bought tops, skirts and shoes from Venus. I have gotten complimented on items that I have worn from Venus. I have never been disappointed with Venus.

I have gotten bathing suits from them that were amazing. I recently ordered a few shirts, a dress, and some boots that were pricey. I only wore the shirts maybe once before they started unraveling. The dress was un wearable because it fringed up in the backside. When I tried to wear the boots the heals were so wobbly I had to take them right back off in fear of them breaking off and me breaking my neck. I messaged them and was told they couldn't help me that I'd have to call returns. I called returns and was told that because they had been wore once that I could not return them, even though the quality was so cheap they literally could only be wore once. This place is a rip off, the customer service sucks and people are rude as hell. They would not let me return the items, just told me they were sorry that I was dissatisfied. Well yeah...$200 later on this crap. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone!
I placed an order for two items for a wedding I was attending. I got rush shipping to ensure it would arrive on time and they assured me it would. Duties were paid and I continuously tracked my order and it NEVER left the border. Two months later it still at the border. I have chatted numerous times with Venus to ask about my order and eventually about a refund. The customer service rep said I would receive an email regarding a refund and details, however, two months (almost 3 months later) I still have not received an email, a refund, or my order. I am now questioning the whether this company is legit, or one of those scam companies you hear about. Not impressed.
I am in Canada. Ordered a swimming suit online. Asside of the fact that it took almost 4 weeks to arrive, I'll say it is fine. Not the best quality, not the worst. For the first order there were no taxes or duty. Second order: a dress. Same day I received an e-mail saying I have to pay taxes and duty up front. All together arround 50% on top of the dress price, and shipping. Odd... but there is an option they say to pay the taxes on delivery. Called and asked why is this order different than the first. They offered a lame excuse that there is a speed on delivery and this is the reason why I have to pay up front for duty and tax. When I said that I haven't asked for speed delivery, they replied that all the orders are placed with speed delivery. This is really strange. Ok, no worries, I let them know that I will pay the duty and tax on delivery.
Now the funny part: I placed my order on May 30,2017, has been shipped on May 31,2017. Today, June 08,2017 I received an e-mail saying that my refund has been processed. I'm calling: "what refund?!? Oh, your dress, you've returned it because it was the wrong size". Let me assure you, I've never received nor returned the dress. My humble opinion, they never even shipped it to me. It wouldn't have been possible to make it to Canada and back in 5 business days. Now we are disputing the shipping charge, they say is non refundable, I'm saying that I don't pay for something that has never been shipped. Show me a proof that I've send it back... They prommised to credit the shipping charge back. Let's hope they'll do it.
Customer service is terrible. Of course that dress is not available now, there is no back order, they are not even sorry for their mistake.
As for duty and taxes paid up front through a website that Venus is partenerred with... I'll say it's a huge scam. 50% on top of the item value (and this is not including the shipping)... I rather have CBSA assesing the duty and tax... but probably because I refused to pay duty and tax to Venus " partner" they made sure that I will never receive my order.
I'll stay away from now on, too much trouble to deal with this company.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY STUCK UP AND HAS A "DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS' BUSINESS" KIND OF ATTITUDE! This company doesn't seem to care about acquiring new customers which means they must be doing really well financially, I'll take my business to someone who cares and who can process my order in a timely manner! Usually when the customer service stinks it's also an indication of a not-so-great product! Ciao!
I ordered bunch of items for my honeymoon. Knew it would take awhile with summer approaching and had a couple items on back order. After three weeks of waiting and no email( after the one stating they were processing and ready to ship) I called Venus. Elisa said she needed to verify my card information and I should have called sooner. They claimed they left me a message which they never did... I have my honeymoon approaching soon and I asked for her to expedite the shipment due to the inconvenience. She refused! - so I cancelled. Out of principle, I wasn't going to pay extra shipping over their poor communication skills! Elisa refused to pay for the shipment so I can have my bathing suits for my honeymoon. Super super disappointed in Venus(Elisa's)customer service Will never order again!
I ordered a dress and it took multiple of tries for the website to even process the order. I tried their chatting service for help and after a customer representative came online I never recieved a response from her. After waiting for 30 min I finally gave up. Finally after multiple tries I managed to place my order. I received the shipping info a day later. Everything was going great. Then when it's a day from the supposed arrival date the item gets transfered from UPS to local postal service (according to sender instructions) No biggie. Then the day that it supposed to arrive the tracking info says the postal office cannot deliver item as addressed and asks me to call the sender. I do. I call this time. After one hour on hold I hung up. I called the next day, got a person this time. She tells me my item is not lost so we just have to wait for the postal office to return it to them and then they will ship it back to me. I am like what?! That's bull! And her attitute is so nonchalant about it to. No big deal. I asked if they will contact the post office to straighten this before it gets shipped back and forth and she's like "no because the item is not lost, we'll just wait. "
I plan on calling my postal office tomorrow and see if I can clear this with them. Regardless this is too much work to do for a lousy dress. Other companies have amazing customer service and there's no need to buy from such place. First and last time shopping here! I don't even care if the dress arrives and is gorgeous!
I ordered 3 beach dresses that should have arrived in time to pack for a cruise. Instead a package arrived with one dress and some sort of sweat pants that I never ordered. The third dress was back ordered. I called Venus. I waited on hold for 16 minutes, then was told the dress I ordered and paid for was no longer available. They are sending a free return bag, when they receive the sweat suit that I never ordered, but received they will credit my account for the dress that I paid for but never received. I am very disappointed. I was really hoping to have something cute to wear on my vacation. I doubt I will order again. It is too confusing when they fail to make sure the order is correct.
I ordered a bathing suit from Venus. I received the bottoms with no top. They shipped the top. It was a totally different color, shape, and material. The material is SO cheaply made. I would not wear that bathing suit to sleep.
I read the reviews for the company. I saw that shipping was a problem, and I checked the status of my order. As it was the next day, I had paid for two day shipping, and the order had not yet been processed, I was nervous. My boyfriend was coming in from out of town to visit, and I really wanted the swimsuit. I called customer service to see what they could do and she was AMAZING! She was, first of all, very honest. She admitted there had been a problem on the initial order front. She addressed the order, took off the price of my shipping, and made it next day shipping for me. She then asked my permission to contact me later in the day with any updates, because she could not be for sure it would ship out, even though she would try her best. I am an overzealous person, so I ended up calling back later in the day. She was so nice, even though I am sure I was annoying. She remembered me, and she again was very honest. Telling me there was a good chance that it would be mailed out that day, but it was not for sure. I just received my order. It seems to be correct and I am only worried about my size, just because I am losing weight, but still not at my goal, so we shall see how my first two piece, ever, fits. If the suit is even moderately nice I will continue to buy from Venus based on your customer service representative alone. I wish I remembered her name, but please tell her thank you for me!
I ordered overpriced bathing suits, and they came cheaply made, the tops were to big and the bottoms were to small. Also, the suits were so cheaply made and material sucked. Sending everything back today.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: THESE DRESSES RUN VERY LONG! THE MODELS TEND TO BE 5 FT 9 IN. OR TALLER! I AM 5 FEET 4 INCHES SO I DO NOT ORDER ANY MAXI DRESSES... LOOK/CHECK TO SEE IF THERE ARE PETITE OPTIONS FOR THESE DRESSES. GOOD LUCK!
Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens. Just because I am 53 does not mean I want to dress "old". LOVE Venus clothes. Their returns are fine too, I found them easy and friendly to work with. Hope this helps. Smiles, Joanne
