Update: Venus reached out to me and although it was stated that my return still hasn't been received or processed they immediately processed my refund. I want to acknowledge the great online customer support I received, I just wish their phone staff was as helpful.

It has been over 30 days and still no notification that my return has been received which is ridiculous. I have contacted customer service multiple times only to receive non-helpful emails that it hasn't been processed so they can't help me. If the would only exert a little more energy into their customer service and in resolving the issue instead of being dismissive. I have not had an issue until this and will be taking my business elsewhere.
I have purchased items from Venus before and loved the products. This time I must say I am disappointed. I ordered a swimsuit almost two months out and they told me after the purchase that it was on back order and showed a new ship date. One week before my vacation I was sent another email stating my swimsuit was again on back order set to arrive almost a month after my vacation. Some items I did receive were good and some not so much so I sent them back.

This was first time ever ordering from Venus. I will not make that mistake again. I bought 2 cover ups and 1 maxi dress. The 2 cover ups are super sheer like saran wrap. The maxi dress was not flattering at all. I sent back the items and they charged me 4.95 for shipping and 6.95 for a return label fee? Isn't this the cost of doing business? I will never order from them again.

I received my order on Friday April 27th and was planning to wear the $50+ dress that I ordered for my best friends wedding on the next day, Saturday April 28th. When I opened the package, I found that it was the wrong order that was shipped to me. The packing slip stated that it was supposed to be delivered to Lexington, KY. Therefore, I had no dress to wear to the wedding and was left with less than 24 hours to find something to wear. I called VENUS immediately and was told to return the item, and there was nothing they could do. I will NEVER order from this company again nor advise anyone to order from them.

Love the clothes but be careful if you return an item. If you do not use their return shipping label they will still charge you. They are hoping you don't notice. Did the same to my daughter.

Hi! I bought Venus clothes several times and everytime something Bad happens. I can say that every piece that I use after 2 times using it something is broken or fall apart. The quality of these clothes its just terrible.
Then if you want to return the item they charge you $7 for the label. Can you believe it! I never see another online store that does that. And of course you have to pay for the return. But about the label is ridiculous.
Then when I return something they never return me the money. I have to call them to remember that Im waiting for my money, and then they send me back the money. Im talking about a month later.
So I just have to say that look for another online clothing stores that the quality is so much better and you dont have to pay labels or shippings for returns, like Lulus, revolve or others

SAVE YOUR MONEY. I ordered a bathing suit from this site for a pageant. I'm from Canada so I paid nearly $100 for it which is pricey but I was so excited to receive it I placed the order anyways. After paying I received an email saying I had to pay duties and taxes... That was another $22... I am now almost $130 in. I patiently wait for updated tracking info, but nothing comes. My pageant date is nearing so I reach out to see where my package is, they let me know it is being held because I "did not pay my duties" and that it could take up to 21 days now. I check my banking and both the payment for the product and duties have been processed days ago! I am FURIOUS. I have paid a small fortune for this bathing suit that I need urgently! I contact customer service and all they have to say is sorry and try and issue me a $25 gift card. I refuse it and say I'd like to know where my package is and either have it expedited or a full refund. They continue to avoid the question. Finally after numerous attempts to get a hold of anyone who could help me, they say I'll have to wait 48hrs for a response to where my package is. I am so beyond disappointed with this company's customer service, shipping and disorganization. If I could give this less than a 1 star, I would!

I agree that in the past Venus was reliable and a credible business but now I am highly disappointed. I ordered two dresses, they shipped fast but when I received them they were both the wrong color. I ended up keeping one and mailing out the other for an exchange from Venus. After 3 weeks of waiting for my dress in the mail, Venus sent me an email saying that they shipped my dress to my billing address. This made me furious because it meant that I would not receive my package. I have no idea why they would send my dresses to my billing address after they were originally sent to my shipping address. The return was even made using my shipping address. Whatever the case I will never shop with them again.

Stay away... heed my warning. I placed an order. Paid through pay pal. Got my order number, money removed from my account. I got the date that it was shipped. I anxiously waited... and waited... and waited... and waited. Finally, I decided to check the status of my order and noticed that is not item number on my order status page. The order number is there and the shipping date is there but no item info anywhere. I initiated a chat session and was told..."Sorry for the inconvenience but you item is sold out." WTH... I've been waiting and waiting and was never told that before and the item is still being advertised, in my size, as available. So ok... I calm myself down and politely ask how I can get a refund. The rep... D Rose said that no funds were taken out of my account. I said that I will check my account. Of course I check my account and the funds were taken out of my account. I start another chat, got Dee Rose again. She told me that she can't see a payment on her end and file a dispute. We all know that paypal disputes can take up to 60 days. I am so disappointed with Venus. The site should not allow you to make orders on out of stock items. It should not provide shipping dates on out of stock items. And it should not give you order numbers if the order are not placed because the items are out of stock. Horrible customer service and now all I get are apologies and I have to wait to get my funds back. D Rose was very polite and no complaints with him or her. She was just the messenger but Venus really need to get their act together. So unfair to me as a customer. You just lost one because you won't get me again

I ordered Venus enhancer push up swim top in a size 34 D. It came so big that I had to tighten all the way, also it was no enhancer. Venus took all THE SIDE PUSH-UP PADS OUT OF D's and bigger... So I tried ordering a size 32 DD thinking it may help, nope still looked terrible. Its sad because I use to get swim tops from them and they looked great. Hey Venus 32DD and 34D are not big, put back in the Enhancer pushup help!

Pros:
Good pricing when there is a sale or items that you want on clearance, which I lucky enough to find 4 items that I wanted
If you exchange by phone, shipping is free for the new item but you will still have to pay for the return/exchange shipping
Customer service was very pleasant when I called and they were very happy to help me out and answer my questions.
I ordered shape wear, skirt, and 2 swimsuit tops and all have been pretty good quality for the price I paid (but as I mentioned they were on clearance/sale).
I loved the Roxanne push up Swimsuit top because it helped shape while also providing a bit of lift so I don't look totally flat!
I also was satisfied with the Fringe Skirt I ordered although it is a little too long but nothing a little rolling up can't fix.
Shipping is quick they have a 7 business day guarantee! Without an extra charge of any kind and I thought it was reasonably priced at about $8.
Cons:
Charge for return shipping if not by phone
No way to filter selections (ie. Price from low to high, colors etc.), just scroll through the many options that they have available, and it might not even be in your size!
All of the items I ordered are delicate or hand wash only

I ordered 2 swim dresses last minute because I couldn't find anything local that was as cute as what I saw on Venus's website, so I took a gamble on items I needed for a trip that the clock was counting down on. They arrived just days before the trip (great shipping times) and they were both super cute and flattering (great fit) and I turned many heads at the beach. This trip was with my kiddos and so I wanted to look great without being sexy, and these were just that! I looked for a place on the site to leave a review, but not sure where that could be, so here I am. I have mediums both in black of a swim skirt/dress and a bandeau swim dress. (The bandeau is ADORABLE and only 16 bucks right now!)

I bought 2 hats and a dress and when they arrived, the box was all busted and USPS had to retape it. I caught my postperson and they said per the details, they picked up the box from VENUS that way. Once I opened it, the hats I purchased were crushed beyond repair. Dress I purchased was nothing like in the photo and much too formal for my use. Not happy at all.

Ive been ordering from Venus for about 5 months now, Ive made roughly 4 orders, I have to agree with others that the quality of most of the items ordered is horrible and cheap looking, the sizing is WAY off, everything runs big, and the prices are super high. The only thing Ive ordered that is good material and fits well is the bathing suit. The clothes do not look like they are depicted in the magazine. I will try ordering a few more times to see if anything changes, otherwise Im done wasting time and money. Ive had an Express account for years and I can always count on their sizing and quality, yes sometimes you get something you dont like, but not as often as with Venus.

Clothing is of good quality and shipped in under a week, but I was really turned off by the fact that they only offer free shipping if you spend a bogus amount of money. They wanted me to pay $30 shipping for about 4 shirts and 2 dresses, bringing my total to about $180 plus tax. Every item I added to my cart increased the shipping charge by about $5 and I didnt want to spend $200 to get free shipping so I put everything back except for a single shirt. As an Ebayer it only costs me around $10 to ship something that weighs a couple pounds so I refused to pay that much for light weight clothing. Would have been a total rip off but Im satisfied with the top I received.

I wanted to leave me review on Venus.com but can't seem to find where to do that so I will leave one here. I don't know why I have bought from them several times. Each time I am disappointed. What you see in the catalog is not what you get. I bought a pair of their Mineral Washed Lounge Pants. They were so long the only way to wear them was with a pair of high heels yet they are sweatpants. Also, after wearing them only one the material is pilling. I could go on about other things I have bought but I will stop there. Bottom line, I am over Venus. I won't be purchasing from there anymore.

As a first time customer of Venus, I have read many reviews to make sure I could trust the sizing of their products. Unfortunately I received my order yesterday and sure enough, it was just a bit too small. The item is so cool that I immediately started to package it up for a size exchange. Now on left side of the Exchanges & Returns explanations it does say - "complete bottom portion of invoice (see reverse side) that was included with your package and indicate if you prefer an exchange or refund. Exchange shipping is FREE, regardless of the number of items you order."
Now, on the right side of this document, it states under Convenient Prepaid Return Label, down a piece, it says "Please note that use of the prepaid return label will result in a $6.95 deduction from you refund/exchange credit"
So just being confused with this conflicting information, I called the Customer Care area this morning and was told that - if you order the amount of items that totals the free shipping requirement ( $100.00) it would indeed be a free exchange with no exchange charge. Excuse me - but this is considered non-disclosure in the business I am in and most others. The customer care person even added fuel to my utter amazement at this answer by saying to me - "what I advise people in your situation is to go and have the package weighed and if the cost is less than $6.95, pay that amount and send your package in to be exchanged." What? I am amazed as many sellers are abandoning the charge on exchange policies but apparently Venus is above this. As a first time buyer and absolutely a last time buyer - please read these reviews. Non-disclosure is as close to false advertising as it gets. Happy shopping to those who don't care. I sure am not convinced to order items over the free delivery limit to avoid an EXCHANGE of a great item. Buyer beware.

I'm a size 16 jean, but used their measurements of a dress, said I was a 20.2 sizes bigger, however the dress showed up very tight, like a size 12, NOT a 20. This is for my sons wedding, so I'll try to lose weight like crazy. Just know if you order this dress. Order a size 24 if your a size 16 in jeans

The replacement full coverage top was defective just as the first. The left wire popped through. Yes it was after 90 days, I'm in NH and had it replaced, put it away and took it for a 2 month stay in SE asia where I had to bring to a tailor twice. Venus customer returns said they would not return. I will still send it back b/c i cannot wear it and hope they do the right thing.

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens. Just because I am 53 does not mean I want to dress "old". LOVE Venus clothes. Their returns are fine too, I found them easy and friendly to work with. Hope this helps. Smiles, Joanne
