I booked without considering. I needed to change. They tried to help but they quickly got snippy or simply disconnected when I ask for clarification because it's sometimes hard to hear them. They would not communicate via email so I could see what flight and times they were saying. Airlines would not help because I booked with Vayama. Totally screwed.
Upon putting all my information, including my credit card numbers, as i always do, i did take a last review before clicking SUBMIT, just to realize that the flight was not in the same day, so i did't SUBMIT at the and, for the same name same days did book a flight with another airline, i was charged by VAYAMA, i didn't book this trip, the information was used, called when i realized the charge on my credit card, and they hung up by saying, talk to your bank. Dishonest and unprofessional, i am done with Kayak and my Barclays card for doing nothing, very unprofessional and dishonest.
These people have ridiculous charges for making reservations; if you have to change or cancel reservations, they charge at least $100 US per change, plus "undocumented" charges--all on top of the airlines' change fees. Yes, they answer their telephone, but their agents are unpleasant to downright rude. I have found that either English-language websites of the airlines themselves or reputable travel agencies in the countries being visited are much easier, faster, and cheaper than Vayama. I don't understand why Kayak refers to them!
Extremely irresponsible customer service. NOT WORTH RISKING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH VAYAMA! First I receive notification from Vayama that itinerary has changed. Guess what... layover changed from 2hrs to 11 hrs. That is very inconvenient for me being Senior Citizen. I called customer service Oct/21/2017 and they said "Cancel Quote" is requested in the system to check with Airlines for refund Amount and I would receive quote in e-mail within 2 days. 2 days passed no mail... I followed up... this time customer service promised response in 5 hrs. Again No e-mail... Next day I followed up on phone... after holding for 20 mins customer service disconnected the call... I followed up on phone next day same story continues... IT"S BEEN 3 WEEKS but NO RESPONSE
They are quick to book your ticket. But one of a very few booking services that does not let you cancel in 24 hours. That policy was changed on the phone call from 24 hours to "Only same day cancellation allowed". Bottom line. Be careful when you cancel and when you change your flight to make sure the timing is correct or they will make you pay for it. Not all agents knows what they are talking about. So be alert and ask questions even if the lady gets all testy on you.
Never again. Just steer clear from them!
VAYAMA has the worst service!
Thinking about calling them -because the site is giving you an error- forget about it! They will only tell you the CARD you're using is not working. Then they will tell you to call your bank because it's not the website- it's you're card.
Tried 4 different cards- however still no luck- the site clearly tells you there a "technical error"
Called VAYAMA 3 times, however, did not get help- Spoke with a REP name CHINI who refused to give me her last name.
Then spoke with the floor supervisor ROSS. K who also wasn't able to help- gave me the same answer to call the bank. I called the bank and they said there is no issue with your card and they did not see a transaction from VAYAMA.
BOTTOM line - the worst customer service- call center is based out of INDIA- they have no knowledge of our VISA card and our banking system.
After the 4th a call and hours of back and forth- I decided to give up.
I am here stuck in Thailand, trying to contact you to get helps and get answers but no response, despite the fact that I have sacrificed too much money to make phone calls because you don't reply to emails, I trusted the wrong company to purchase tickets, well, if you think 1 time customer will be enough for your business then you shouldn't run business any more.
Vayama is a scam. We bought tickets to Brazil in April one week before the October 25 departure Vayama changed all the reservations and instead of 12 hour going and returning it became 24 and 36 hrs. And, they didnt pay for hotel expenses to stay in Orlando for 25 hrs between flights. I lost 3 days of my vacation due to this travel service. Its despicable that they can get away with this.
I had a real issue in my booking with Vayama. I have contacted them several times until at end I have contacted them through Facebook messenger. They have replied to me so quick and they were so polite and professional. Someone from Vayama CS has called me and solved my issue. They have sent me an updated ticket and have charged me only what I should be charged.
Thanks to Vayama. I appreciate this and for the quality and professionalism of the employee who has worked with me via Facebook and the one who has called me later, listened to me and solved my issue.
Hurricane victm
Bought a ticket for my mother on vayama, flight was cancelled due to hurricane maria. Miami airport remained closed for several days. Try several times to call to rebook or ask for refund. They did not answer or answer by email asking me to call but did not answer the call. Ask for refund, they did not respond.
Open a dispute with my credit card company, then they respond the credit card lying sayng that I should rebook the flight and I didn't. First of all, if the travel is not in the day that is bought for, we may have no need to travel at all. Second, that was NO flights following the hurricane maria.
Don't buy from this liers. Do yourself a favor, go direct to the airline company site. Had another ticket bought direct and American refund with no questions asked.
Liers of the worst kind.
I was told that my booking had not been processed, so I booked my tickets again. Rang the company to double check before my flight that I the booking had not gone through twice and I assured it hadn't been. Once I got my bank statement I saw I had been charged twice. Rang the company - several phone calls and emails later (despite sending my bank statement) they continued to deny they had taken an extra $400 from my account. Eventually they said they had but would not refund it.
I bought two Airlines tickets via Vayama.com from New York with Emirates Airlines. The reservation was fine both ways,
When I received the Vayama bill I noticed that they over charged me by $86, when started to communicate with their customer Service, which was the worst experience ever and they kept lying to me and giving me fake promises about the refund. I got my credit card company to get involved which they helped me receiving my refund after three months. It was a nightmare experience with Vayama and will never ever buy a ticket through them again.
This is the worst place to book your ticket from. The customer service is totally hopeless. The airlines re-scheduled their flight timings and they asked me to contact vayama to change or cancel my ticket. Vayama completely pulled themselves out and hung me out to dry. Their refund policy was actually making me pay more money than getting any and they were not willing to change me to another flight. This has been the worst experience I have ever had in my life and I have never seen such a worthless customer service in my life. These guys are very arrogant. The person sitting at customer service said these words to me, "There is no point talking to me." Then whom should I be talking to?
Hello everyone,
Before this experience vayama used to be a site that I respected somewhat, having used it a couple of times and having had good experiences.
On this particular trip, we booked a two way flight with lufthansa. As we couldn't make the inbound flight, I called vayama support trying to change it but didn't find any options, so we decided to simply use the return flight.
Apparently however, in case of no-shows lufthansa cancels the entire flight, including the return trip.
We were blissfully unaware of this until the day before our return trip. I tried checking in online via vayama, but kept getting errors on their site. I called them, and was, frankly quite rudely, told that there is nothing vayama can do for me. There was not even an offer for vayama to try to book another return flight for us, the person on the other end of the line literally started getting aggravated and kept telling me he was going to hang up on me. I frankly lost it, and after a very sincere expletive I hung up on him.
We ended up booking a flight with Portugal airlines.
Ultiimately the entire $1600 booking via vayama was lost, and there was absolutely 0 communication from Vayama about the no show cancellation. There was literally nothing. Not an email, not a phone call, not a warning on their webpage after logging in with the booking reference they sent me.
I frankly do not blame vayama for lufthansa's policy, but after seeing the complete lack of respect or consideration for their customers, I am obviously never ever using them again.
Good luck to everyone else and happy flying.

DO NOT EVER USE VAYAMA. I am currently stranded in Amsterdam trying to fly home to the US. Their flight was cancelled so I called them and they said talk to the airline. Airline said talk to Vayama since they booked the travel. Long story short after talking to Vayama for the past 7 hours 45 mins (and counting) is they will get me home 21 hours later than what i originally booked. They will not put me in a hotel or provide meal vouchers, I simply need to hang out for an additional 21 hours. Their customer service team in India has actually found ways to be less than useless. Legally they are supposed to put me on another flight but refuse to do so.
DO NOT BOOK WITH VAYAMA! A friend had booked 2 tickets through them for an upcoming trip and they misspelled my name by 2 letters accidentally. The trip was 2 months away so we figured it wasn't a huge deal and would be able to get it fixed easily. I had emailed and explained the situation and got a reply saying they would reach out to the airline to see if it was possible and it was subject to airline approval and would get a reply in 3-5 business days. After a week with no reply I called Vayama and spent over an hour on the phone with them while they told me they could not correct my name on the ticket and we would have to purchase a whole new ticket for over $2000. The original ticket was $1300 and originally told me we could be refunded for that amount and would take 45 days, and then turned around and told me it was non-refundable and our only option was to purchase a new ticket. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told there were no managers there. I asked to speak to their name change department, which they do have, and she told me they have "limited access to who they can speak to and I could not talk to them. I was clearly getting frustrated and asked to speak to someone else. She laughed at me and told me I could not speak to anyone else. She advised me to call the airline, so I did. Finnair was the operating airline so I called them and explained the situation and they told me it was not a big deal, was a very easy fix and would only be a $25 name change fee. She explained that since we booked through Vayama they had control over the tickets and Vayama would have to do it on their end. I called Vayama back and told them this and they laughed at me again and told me the only option was to purchase another ticket for $2000. After this conversation was going nowhere I called Finnair back and told them they would not do it. Finnair was able to then separate our bookings and correct my name with a $25 charge. Our bookings or seats were no longer together but our flights were all the same thankfully. It was a huge mess over a small accidental error that anyone could have made. I definitely feel like they were just trying to get our money and were unwilling to help. My advice for next time is to never book through one of these third party sites and to always book directly through the airline to avoid a lot of time and frustration. I will never book with Vayama again.
I called the Hong Kong Airline on Aug 24th (Thursday) to check the actual official status of our ticket after we were being informed that our ticket has already been "cancelled". The Hong Kong Airline Supervisor affirmed us that our ticket is NOT cancelled, it's still under my name, IT IS ELIGIBLE for schedule-change, and since we bought the ticket from you, a third-party company, we can ONLY process the ticket from your end. We've then called your customer service on the same day three times to express our wish to restore the "cancelled" ticket, however, my calls were rudely hanged up by your assistants twice with them constantly voicing over me, interrupting me, and most importantly, still lying to me that my ticket is "cancelled" even after I told them I have called the airline. I have the call recorded.
They put wrong details of passengers on the ticket and then charge you crazy amount to amend. I booked 8 passengers in one booking and 6 of them have incorrect details when I received the ticket. I could see in my cache that the details entered were correct. One passenger surname was missing when its mandatory while booking. Their customer service guys are rude and hung up calls when trying to resolve the issue. Called the airline and they said call Vayama. This isn't the 1st time I booked online flights that I could book 6 incorrect tickets out of 8. I will never ever ever go near to them. Their ads kept coming up to annoy me even further! Frustrated, annoyed, disappointed + a lot more!
Never never use them! When they'll have your money you would be forgotten! No customers support at all! They just worry about their personal pocket, not about you!
This is by far the worst agency I've ever worked with - appalling customer service, long delays in getting back to you, used every trick in the book to milk more money out of customers. Trust me, these people don't care a lick about you. When their system put the wrong name on my ticket (and didn't let me know about the problem till three days before travel), they delayed in putting through a name change so that I was stuck with a worthless $1200 ticket. I spent hours on the phone with a rude and unhelpful customer service agent who kept telling me why I shouldn't bother trying to get a change, and made it hard for me to get the materials I needed. When it didn't work, they then were willing only to refund me $50 on the useless ticket if I paid them an additional $15 service fee. I've never been so frustrated and angry with a business in my life. I know the price looks good, but, believe me, it's not worth it.
