I requested to this company for my two paintings. They gave me very wells searched results in time, and I am very satisfied about them. Ruth who was person in charge was very polite, so if I have something to check the value, I will use them again. Thank you so much!
I appreciate your business model as it allows me to receive good estimates of my art collection value without schlepping my art all over the country to get a fair estimate.
I am using the valuation for insurance purposes and this service puts my mind at ease that I am correctly insured. It is a bonus that Value My Stuff delivers such detailed and thorough research on the valuation assigned, and they honor their time commitment for delivery very diligently.
Having purchased 10 appraisals, my opinion is that the level of accuracy on the values is highly accurate. I do not own an original Picasso, but rather original prints or paintings by lesser known artists. The level of detail in the valuation
Was extraordinary and I am a very happy customer.
My pieces were fairly valued. Not too high, not too low.
Thank you for the wonderful level of service and excellence that
You provide.
I am supremely impressed with your company and service.
Great company. I purchased a historical signature piece on eBay which VMS helped me identify as a bad purchase. I was immediately able to get a refund. Thank you.
I recently submitted a Uyghur language copy of Mao's Quotations for appraisal. Indeed I received the Valuation Report within 48 hours of my submission - fine.
However, the Valuation Reports contains (a) informational errors (e.g. Wrong publisher) and (b) irrelevant information. (a) I submitted a photo of the colophon details showing the book was published by the National Publishing House, not Foreign Languages Press. (b) The notes section has information on the Chinese editions, autographed copies, and the recollection of a past auction of a dozen first editions in various languages. But the expert was unable to find details of the auction.
I would pay more for an expert to take more time (a week or ten days) to produce an accurate Valuation Report with relevant information. Not a 48 hour rush job. That said, it's a service with potential.
All they did was tell how the product was wore down but no actual information on the item at all complete waste of money and time.
I have been dealing with VMS for over two years now and have had twenty-four appraisals completed and have 8 credits waiting to be used. They have appraised multiple pieces of fine-art, coins, wood carvings, autographs, vintage clocks, bronze sculptures, and even an original German copy of Adolph Hitler's "Mein Kampf", among other things.
Those appraisals have always been documented accurately, including the "NOTES" section. I appreciate those notes as the appraiser will generally provide you with more in-depth knowledge about the piece.
I have had enough items appraised now to make me very comfortable with their service. The appraised values I have received have all been spot on and I no longer spend my time re-researching an item (only possible with the additional information they provide) to verify those appraisals.
I trust and recommend their service without reservation!
Read all the positive reviews,, all worded the same! Stay away if you want to waste money on a worthless review, burn £30 and write it yourself! SCAM
I had my jewelleries valued by this company and I was very impressed with how quick the service was.
Unfortunately, a few months down the line I tried to make a claim on my insurance for one of the items.
That was when I found out that they had grossly undervalued my jewellery. I spoke to their customer service and they refused to help.
They said to me that their t&cs clearly state that their valuations are only an indication and should not be relied upon.
Can you believe it? Their website clearly states that their valuation can be used for insurance purposes, amongst others. Yet they have added to their t&cs, hidden away, that it's all lies.
This is a photo of a painting by an Australian aboriginal artist that I sent to be appraised. I had lost my paperwork over the years and wanted to know if the artist could be identified and what the value was. ValueMyStuff got back to me in one day with the name of the artist confirmed and the certificate and value. It meant a lot to me to be able to read again about the amazing woman artist who created this painting that I purchased in Sydney twenty years ago. Being able to read about Eunice Napangardi and her work has made the piece even more precious to me. Five stars and I will definitely use them again.
I can't speak highly enough about my experience with ValueMyStuff. The specialist who helped me was diligent, prompt, and courteous. On the administrative side, Ruth was incredibly kind and responsive! I recommend working with ValueMyStuff.
Thank you for your kind feedback and the recommendation, it was a pleasure working with you.
We look forward to being of service to you again.

This place is a complete jo my ke. I've had several things appraised by them and each time they come back with the lowest most insulting appraisals. One of the items I have appraised and they stated it was valued at $50 sold at auction for $4600. Imagine how many people listen to their valuation and sell their items for next to nothing because this company tells them it's not worth anything. They also had the nerve to double their price this year. Christie's, sotherby, and heritage all do free valuations with trained buyers not just a bunch of jerks behind a computer.
Hi there, we're so sorry to hear you were disappointed with your reports.
We have been operating for over 10 years and served many happy customers. We take feedback really seriously, so many thanks for your comment, but it would be great if you could contact us via email ([email protected]) so that we can address your concerns directly.
Many of our specialists have worked at Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Bonhams and the company was founded by Sotheby’s Director, Patrick van der Vorst, so we do have an excellent level of expertise and knowledge of the market.
You are absolutely correct that larger auction houses provide free valuations, however, they will usually only do this for items above their sale threshold. Furthermore, there is no guaranteed return time (we provide reports in 24 or 48 hours), nor do they provide a full report with insurance values, cataloguing and extra notes.
Valuations are, by their nature, a matter of opinion and we can only form a judgment on the images and information submitted to us. Occasionally, a difference in opinion does occur but we warmly welcome follow-up questions.
We certainly hope that you do get in contact and look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
VMS
My husband bought a clock at an estate sale because he loved the way it looked. After bringing it home, he was curious as to how much it was worth. I did an appraisal through Value My Stuff. The website was very easy to use and the appraisal I got was professional and detailed. The person who did the evaluation was very knowledgeable about clocks and I was very happy with the appraisal. I would recommend this company.
Invaluable service for easily finding out more about items that have been passed down through the family and their value. Really prompt responses, would definitely use again.
Received a detailed appraisal about my slides, it was good to know their value, will use this service again.
ValueMyStuff gave me an idea of how valuable others might find my 'treasures'. They are knowledgeable, pleasant and quick. ValueMyStuff looks at each item independently, not one relative to entire estate. I found the experts just that, and that they actually enjoy what they are doing.
This is a wonderful service. Item per item. Pleasant and efficient.
Thank you for your lovely review, Robin, and we hope that we can continue to be of service to you in the future!
Very clever and efficient service. I think it links the right experts with the people from around the world to gain insightful knowledge about their pieces of art, treasures or antiques.
I was fractionally doubtful at the moment of engaging their services, however all of it was gone very quickly due to their prompt replies, their realistic prognosis on what they can deliver, what is unachievable and the timeline they would deliver the results.
My dreams about my object were cleared. Thank you very much from New Zealand.
I enjoyed finding out more about my artwork. Also, the customer service is fantastic. I feel the cost is reasonable, as well.
Very happy with the service that gave me advice on a pair of vases that have been passed down the family. It helped to date them and confirm a family story about their origin (the valuer didn't know what I was looking for). I had tried to find out more information myself on Google, but after an hour of searching realised I wasn't getting anywhere and went to ValueMyStuff. The items are not particularly valuable, but it was well worth the fee to find out more about them and a piece of my family history.
I wanted some expert advice on an antique Japanese item I was bidding for on the eBay platform, and was delighted with the appraisal I received. It was timely and knowledgeable and helped me to decide whether to bid further, and within what limits. Plus, the appraisal included some helpful advice on handling and cleaning. Five Stars.
