You will get a fabulous rate online and then when you get to the counter you are informed that you are REQUIRED to purchase additional insurance unless you have the PRINTED copy of your personal auto policy showing coverage specific to rental cars. (Do you often travel with printed copies of your insurance documents?). NONE OF THESE POLICIES ARE DISCLOSED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL.
This was our first - and LAST - time renting a car with Easirent. We rented a car from the JAX airport location, and experienced the WORST customer service and car rental in 30+ years of travel. The hair-pin ride shuttle from JAX brought us to a tiny office staffed with 2 extremely rude, pissed-off employees whose only concern is to try and upsell EVERY customer an additional liability insurance plan that's stated in the fine print of the purchase agreement. We were told we could not decline their supplemental liability coverage and use our credit card's insurance coverage UNLESS we provided proof of our current auto policy, which thankfully I had, but this has NEVER been a requirement with ANY major car rental company we've used and is a deceitful way to extort extra fees to purchase unnecessary insurance coverage. The 2 staff members were TOTALLY RUDE and their "efficient method" of assigning cars was searching through a ridiculous little basket of keys! It was appalling and ludicrous. The SUV we rented was NOT cleaned or the "sanitized vehicle" the website promised. It was FILTHY INSIDE and STUNK horribly of CIGARETTE SMOKE which inflamed my husband's asthma. We had to use our OWN disinfectant wipes to clean the steering wheel, controls, doors etc and the wipes were FILTHY! Additionally, the exterior was full of dents & chips (which we documented w/pictures). This was only a 2.5 day rental, so we stuck it out, but had it been longer, we would've returned the car IMMEDIATELY and rented elsewhere. The entire experience was AWFUL and I will post this review on EVERY SITE i can to expose what a HORRIBLE, MONEY-GRUBBING company Easirent is and will tell as many people and websites as possible to NEVER rent from this disgusting, obnoxious company. This is an APPALLING, LOW-QUALITY car rental company that NO amount of discount is worth.
Its hard to give them a 1 star service when they dont show up, and dont answer phone calls. I cant event tell if they are a legal company as I have had no further contact with them after making the initial booking.
I made an online booking, thankfully I selected the "pay on arrival" option. Sent them our arrival information and arrived to Fort Lauderdale airport. Arriving, they say you need to call them to have a van drive around to pick you up as it is off site, however it will also drive around every 15 minutes.
I called no less than 10 times, waited no less than 40 minutes, no van came around, noone picked up the phone, there was no communication of any kind from Easirent or its employees. Obviously I then had to book with another company that had limited options and was considerably more expensive than it needed to be as I was booking a "last minute" rental.
Darron was professional and helpful. I live renting cars from this company. I usually rent from Fort Lauderdale
Looking for an small to midsize SUV, I reserved a Jeep Liberty or similar, in the compact SUV category, booked through expedia and prepaid (see photo). When I got there, they told me Jeep Liberty is not in their compact suv category, saying that due to booking through a third party (ie Expedia), they're not responsible for the classification/description and offered me a Nissan Kicks for my reservation (a hatchback more similar to a Golf). They told me Nissan Kicks is their compact suv. They then told me if I buy insurance from them, they will upgrade me for free, and then retracted on that when I told them I already have insurance. I would have walked away but I had prepaid. In the end they didn't care, and ended up charging me an upgrade fee (see photo) in order for me to get a Nissan Rogue, which is similar in size to the Jeep Liberty (originally reserved). First mistake was using Easirent, second was prepaying. Never again am I using them and will only advise against them even if I'm not asked.
I paid in advance the rental of a car in Miami, Fl. When I went to pick it up they asked me to pay for insurances I had already covered. As I refused to contract them again with them, the agent reacted violently and cancelled the reservation, he did not provide the car and Easirent has not refunded me the money I paid in advance. Easirent is not trustworthy, it is a scam. Do not rent cars from them.
I reserved a car at the London Heahtrow Rental site. I had purchased insurance when I reserved the car through Priceline. When I arrived to pick up the car, the manager suggested that the insurance I had purchased was very questionable and may not refund any money I might have to pay if there were any damages. I didn't have time to go back and read the policy and wasn't totally confident about driving in the UK so I agreed to pay an additional 30 GBP per day for my rental. Also, I returned the car two days early but was refunded any of the insurance money. If I had read the reviews about this company before I made the reservation I would have gone somewhere else. The only good thing was that they upgraded the car I was given.
Can I rate a zero please?
Rented a car in London, Victoria.
Opening times claimed at 7AM and I booked it because I needed a car early.
Arrived at a dark and dingy car park after a 20 minutes walk from Victoria station.
Guess what? No one there of course but also no one I could reach.
Phones them 10 times until a (to be fair) nice gentleman answered the phone by 7.30AM. Well, a little too late for my plans.
Car was the size agreed but not 100% clean inside. COVID measures? I doubt it.
Rental went smooth after I had to give a deposit of GBP1500. 00, uploaded my return flight ticket (no Londoner) and drive off.
Returned the car as planned and thought: happy days in the end.
Far from it. 4 weeks later, I receive a notice from TFL: fine for not paying congestion charge.
Ok, I am not from London, hence I don't know the exact areas which is in or outside CG.
As I rented in central London, I wrongly assumed that the CG would be included. Or at least, that easirent would inform me about the fact that when I drive out of the garage, I basically have to pay for CG. And a handling fee for easirent which I assume is part of their annual budget as this is surely not the first time this happens to a foreign renter.
Victoria Station is in CG, but easirent chose the garage wisely, just a few meters outside CG! Nice!
So end of story is, I paid double the rental and had no service at all, got the car later than agreed which was dirty.
Easirent? Easimoneyloss! Hope you get bankrupt.
AVOID Easirent! You'll spend MORE w/ Easirent because of their scams and hidden fees.
Everyone in line was blindsided by the additional $25/day fee if you didn't have proof of insurance. We arrived at 7:30 PM on Thurs 3/24/22 so there was no way to provide proof of insurance at pick up. I offered to present proof at drop off and was told NO. They charge $11/day SunPass (FL auto toll) without telling you that EzPass works just fine.
The staff was rude and tried to charge us $13/day for a 2nd driver when the 2nd driver is free!
We booked a car in Fort Myers via Priceline. We chose them because they advertised a free second driver. We arrived to pick up the car and were told that we had to provide proof of insurance or we had to buy THEIR insurance for $19 a day. We argued that we were not told about this in advance - it's not ANYWHERE in the emails we got when we rented - but they would not relent and we had to pay. We were able to get proof of our insurance by the time we returned the car, but they told us they could not remove the charge. Our son was early and sat in the rental office for about an hour before we arrived. He said every person who came in had the same complaint. Oh and that free second driver? I was going to get charged $13 a day for that as well, but when I $#*!ed they did agree to remove that charge.
DON'T COME NEAR THIS COMPANY!
Worst company I've ever dealt with. Ripped me off with 550 GBP and lied bluntly when I requested my money back. Worst customer service ever!
Said the agreement was for a deposit and nothing more. I trusted Ana, the branch manager in Manchester, and a charge of 550GBP was made.
Ohh and Eairent-spare me with your generic reply about not attaching my ref number. I don't want to hear from you ever again. Scammers!
I rented from them in Scotland. I had to wait forever for a pickup, then they took me to their "office" which was no better than a trailer on the ground, I waited again, then got told that my insurance (I had called them beforehand to verify that I would be covered) was not acceptable and I had to take their coverage. I was then brought outside to this dented car which smelled smoke and needed a brake job. I would not recommend this company. WHen I returned the car the following week, I and two other people had to wait so long for their shuttle that we ended up paying an Uber to get to the airport.
This place is terrible. The site says that they are located at the Tampa airport, but I couldn't find them. No signs in the airport, I looked for awhile. You have to take a shuttle to the rental place that is offsite. Once I got there, the agent cancelled my paid reservation with priceline. He said I couldn't take the car out of state. Here I was in Florida for vacation with no rental car. He did help me book with another rental car company for an additional $250. I had to go back to the airport and deal with another car company. I won't wish this place on my enemy.
EASIRENT IS A VERY AWFUL COMPANY that you shouldn't advertise, they didn't respect my price and they even beat me up with a guy who works there who says his name is Charlie Colon, when I asked to speak to a manager he said he was the local manager, then the other guy who attended there came to his defense, I have never felt so humiliated like my wife who ordered her to shut up in the most abrupt way, the incident occurred on Sunday February 6 at 5pm, I hope for the prestige From Priceline I took some measures, after I saw the reviews of easierent they are the worst, how Priceline can work with these people.
Thank, God, for honest reviews from people who have used this car rental agency in the past. I was just about to book online and my first intuition was to check the reviews, as to which never happens when renting an automobile. Thank you, Easirent, but 'No, thank you!'
Very bad customer service. Just not worth it!
Long lines bad service and nothing seems to get done with out the boss lady as she kept telling. Sorry sir I can't do anything with out the boss lady here, with a very ignorant tone. Nothing got solved!
I rent a car and I was supposed to get the car a 9pm at the fort lauderdale FL. I arrived at the easirent shuttle stop sight and wait for one hour and nobody came. So I called more then 4 times and nobody pick it up the phone, was getting the answer machine. Next day after paying 55.00 bucks of uber I arrived at they place. I talked to them and they didn't care. To the things get worse, I was supposed to pay 177.00 I paid $ 400.00 dollars because they didn't have the small car that they promised. In the end, the price that they advertise is a big fallacy they put a better price from the oder company but is fake news. I will never rent with this fake a company. The funny thing is, how a company like expedia still put us costumers on this path.
We reserved two standard cars in Fort Lauderdale, checked online on time but while arriving the rental center staff were very rude, first said our reservations were canceled due to no show within 2 hours. We were waiting for their shuttle, then waiting in the line for more than an hour; not considered any of these. Finally provided an upgrade option, which is $160 more than our original booking. Also, the agent mentioned unlimited toll for $14/day but they charged $25 for one car and another one for $16.99, not understanding the logic. The rental center was outside airport rental cars, the odd-time drop-off was a big challenge. All together very bad experience for us, never book there
Avoid at all costs. I had to threaten with police before they paid me back. Absolute scum, excuse my language.
I rented a small SUV, in November 2021, from Easirent.com (through priceline.com) near Miami International airport. These folks are cheats. Agent forced me to pay ($ 20 a day) for insurance although I showed my valid insurance cards. I have never ever paid any additional insurance. Yet he said the collision will be covered by my credit card. The facility is poorly maintained and does not even have a restroom. Car was in poor condition and was not clean. Tires were worn out and had very poor treads. Breaks were not good. Agent never gave me any receipt or a document that car was rented from them. He said that I will get receipt in my email. But it never arrived; I checked spam folder too. I was charged additional $ 23 (in addition to
$ 120 for insurance and $ 60 for tolls) for which I do not have any explanation since he never gave itemized receipt. I am giving one star since this is the lowest rating I can give. This company deserves "0." Do not rent from them.
