I ordered a Remy human hair wig, but was sent a synthetic wig. Customer service replies quickly but they "only accept returns if item is faulty"... and offered 20% off next order. Still arguing with customer services trying to get refund.

I have to wear wigs because of Alopcia and because of Covid, my regular supplier was closed.

Before buying from URHair, I asked if I bought two different shades, could I return the one not needed to change for the one I choose so I have two. The answer was yes...

They took forever to arrive (made in Shanghai) and on taking the one I liked the colour of from the box, it was very thin hair, had a bald patch on top with no hair and a clump sewn in together producing a sort of mini pony tail. Titally useless... Plus dark Brown hair on a light colour cap means you can see through the hair when it moves

I contacted Lisa the owner of UHair to return for a refund. Her answer was to reconsider because she will loose money! I had soent over £120 and waited 5 weeks!... Her next response was 15% discount to order two more! WHAT? I refused and said I would take £100 back (losing money) and pay for their return... I didn't need to offer this.

The next response was to give her ANOTHER £80 to order again...

I am now going through my bank for a FULL REFUND

These wigs look nice in the pictures, look nice when you first take then out of the box, but are no good for everyday wear and are very thin and not for everyday use.

My current four wigs (all the same) have done over three years and are far better than these

URHair use the same Shanghai manufacturer and chart for their website as many other sellers use and have no control over quality. They are simply 'middle men'

How could you even wear this to the dentist. A dead give away that it's a wig... Terrible quality.

No returns are complicated as what is written on the website... Lisa is complicated and won't accept returns. I will let the bank sort this now...

AVOID

The last photo shown is my current wig that has had over three years every day use... Perfect parting and no bald patches even now and is still very think

! frauds
June 10, 2020

Avoid that site. They claim that it is real hairs but no way that it is real hair. They look cheap. The cap is different. Everything wrong about that company. Even the box is from some flower company. 10$ is a max price for all that! If you try to refund the money they'll write: We spend a lot of time and money on this wig, the prime price for this wig cost us very high. Please consider our position. If you return it to us, we won't resell it or use it.
Is it the proper answer?
I'm trying to return money via Paypal, don't know if it is possible. The wig looks as a cheap arta

Don't buy anything from this site. You get a hideous, cheap synthetic wig that is absolutely nothing like the one ordered. Lucy is rude and won't give return details. Am not getting any replies now. I have reported them to Trading Standards, PayPal and Trustpilot where they have only have fake 5* reviews or genuine 1*. Don't buy from them, you will absolutely regret it. If you do use PayPal or a credit card.

Nothing like the picture. It's a lot of hair that doesn't resemble a short pixie haircut at all. I was told that you would not have to have It cut that it would come already cut in the style.

STAY AWAY!
May 18, 2020

I requested a cancellation of my order 6 min after purchase, after realising I bought wrong wig. The company stated they could not cancel, and went on to charge my account. After multiple email exchange with Lucy, I realised that these were more of automated replies than messages from a real human. Responses to my demands for a refund and stopping the transaction were just infuriating; 'do us a favour and keep the item' or 'order cancellation has bad effects on our account', the list of excused goes on. I reported them to PayPal, which handled the transaction and am waiting for their resolution.

The 2 wigs received were not even remotely close to what I ordered. They refuse to provide a return address for a refund. Finally, acknowledge that what was sent was not what was ordered and wanted to give me a 10% refund. What the XXX$$$## are they talking about I want 100% of the money back for your misrepresentation. Stir clear of this rip off company. I'll also will be putting a review on the BBB site!

"Horrible Hair"
April 20, 2020

I finally closed the case I had with these people. The wig I ordered was wavey and reached the neck-line. What these people sent me looked like a black bundle of candy floss. I got paypal on to them and they refunded me. They kept writing to me and making offers of discount and I refused all of their offers. This cannot be a proper firm. I think they are a rip-off and no one should ever order from them. The wigs they advertise in the fotos are not what they sell.

I spent £128 on a real hair wig. After 4 weeks I got a wig nothing like the one I ordered in style or colour. My hairdresser says it is not human hair but synthetic. URHAIR will not give a refund but suggest I try it on again or use it as an "alternative wig" Disgusting attitude!

Claiming to be UK based. Lie! Actually in China (even the websi4states 8 hours ahead of GMT).

Claiming to be a limited company. Lie! Not registered with Companies House.

No UK number or address. Be aware!

Chinese address is a PO Box. They do not even provide the returns address - they exoecustomers to REQUEST a return despite Consumer Rights Act.

Furthermore, they try to penalise customers by reducing the refund amount.

IP address is using a VPN to make them appear in the USA.

Using branded wig stock images but producing fakes.

In breach of the Consumer Regulations Act where you have a Right to Cancel. They REFUSE refunds despite being quoted the law.

Here's what to do:

Raise a claim with PayPal. Keep all correspondence at dispute stage to a minimum stating the law and your right to a refund.

Claims can be raised under Item Not Received, Not as Described or fraud.

If non-PayPal, raise a 'charge back' with your bank, or a claim with your credit card company if over £100. You WILL get your money back.

Tell them you are a fraud victim. Do it ASAP as you may need yo wait for the case to be investigated and they have to allow the seller to respond.

Once the case is escalated, do not engage with the company. They tried to email me with scaremongering (30% refund etc.) but hold out. Take screenshots and keep all records.

Action Fraud will give you a crime reference number.

Leave a negative Trust pilot review.

Scammers
December 19, 2019

It's not a wig company. I ordered wig for my mother from their "amazing wigs pictures,," those wigs doesn't exist. No body makes any specific wigs for customers. They waist your money and time with very bad quality and style products. Chinese scammers. AVOID!

Cheap nasty product.
December 12, 2019

I emailed immediately on opening the package which stank of the cheap nylon inside and finding the product did not in any way resemble what I ordered.
Two weeks of emails and their suggestions have been. Send the product back with a further £40... send the product back with a further £35... wash and brush it... take it to my hairdresser to be restyled... a goodwill gesture of £10 and I can keep the wig... a goodwill gesture of £5 and I can keep the wig.

Refunds
December 4, 2019

Urhair don't follow their own return and refund policy so beware. If the item doesn't fit or it doesn't resemble the picture then you won't get a refund. I tried for 3 weeks to get a return address but they refused to accept the item back. Very unhappy with this company wouldn't recommend them

No Value for Money
November 24, 2019

I paid £176 for Brazilian Remy Human Hair and all i got was synthetic hair with a price tag of $14.00. The idiot who packed it was too busy to realise he included the price in the pack!
As seen below I ordered the wig on the right and received the one on the left. The price tag is shown in the middle.
