I joined upwork since 4 years ago, it was great experience for me to start on upwork. Upwork gave me chance to perform my skill internationally. I am feeling great to work on upwork.
A convenient platform where there are many ways to earn money for any freelancer, even with little experience in up work, I find clients, money always comes to the account without delay
Simply one of my best decision which i took and now all good i am independent and enjoy working from home nowadays.
Tried several platforms but none are as organized and professionally supportive as Upwork — it's definitely the best place to freelance on the web.
I joined Upwork or Elance as it was called then in 2014, when we started IoT solutions development and was looking to reach customers; clueless as we were, as to who they were and what they were looking for. Upwork not only gave us customers who were looking for cutting-edge solutions; the rating system kept us agile and sharp.
I am very happy with Upwork without which we wouldn't have developed our IoT capabilities.
The only issue I have is the lack of transparency in the rating system - we have had 100% job success score most of the time, but some times it is just reduced for a client not having communicated for long and keeping a project open. If we are given some warning before hand then we could take action; as we are not deliberately doing it. We stick to all the Upwork terms. Client responses to bids drastically comes down when the rating is anything less than 100.
I've been evaluating various platforms for freelancers. Upwork is the most reliable platform which I've joined. You can get paid for hourly. This is guaranteed by an monitoring application. For fixed priced projects you can define milestones. When each milestone is completed, you start to get paid so you don't have to wait until the project finishes. Searching for jobs is fairly well but it would be nice if there is a notification system for interested jobs with respect to keywords. Payment options work great. I recommend Upwork to reduce commission rate since most of the jobs don't exceed $500 and most of our clients are long term clients.
A site-platform where you can look for associates, colleagues and future companies... globally all over the world. Start your business and always be up to date with events, market demand. Of course with the competition -challenge
Upwork is a platform for professionals not rookies, for people who want to grow with big businesses not who are looking for a second job as a hobby. I met very professional and well paid projects from New York to Australia and some of the employers became my best friends and colleagues now.
Thanks Upwork for this opportunity.
It was like for fun when I first joined Upwork. Before I knew it, I got my first project, next one came and so on. I am currently Upwork number 1 fan. It is the best site right for me. If possible, I love to give more than 5
Agreat onlne marketplace for freelancer to make carrier. Great site with great help. You no need to worry about bringing clients, looking for job. What you have to do is sit with your comfort and logged in upwork.
It was a great experience. If anyone wants to get a higher paid job by working with good clients professionally, this place is best from my suggestion. The interface and system is much improved now. The person who are real skilled, start here. Thank you.
My best place to find some great clients. Upwork helps me a lot. I am very happy with it and it was a great experience. Thanks.
Upwork is a good site for a freelancer, but recently Upwork change there connect system I just don't agree with it. This is a very bad thing for a beginner freelancer.
Transparent job board. I can search for my preferable job by the filter. I can set Job Type, Experience Level, Client History, Client Info, Number of Proposals, Budget, Hours Per Week, Project Length, Client Location, etc. I can get a lot of help from community & forums. Customer support very helpful too. I do not need to use another messenger.
My name is Ikramul Kabir. I have been a freelancer for exactly 3+ years now. I'm doing a lot better, upwork helps me a lot. I am very happy with it and it was a great experience. Thanks.
In November 2016, I heard about Upwork first time and joined. Even though, It was long way to get hired on my first project in Feb 2020, I am very grateful for everything that Upwork provides me as opportunities.
Firstly, I am getting paid higher than my local jobs by advertising myself in high-income regions of the world.
Secondly, I am very happy to work with my favorite coffee shop.
Third, I really believe that It is the most important to have experience in order to get hired and deliver great projects on Upwork. Freelancers really need to know what they organizations need related to their industry. But, at the end of everything, the only thing that will make me odd on Upwork would be my specialty, skillsets combining with my experience and motivated mindset to tackle the rigorous project.
I am very grateful that Upwork is being a part of my life.
I LOVE Upwork for so many reasons!
As a freelancer:
I get to read reviews of the clients I consider working with.
Using my tracker keeps me above reproach, and it proves I did the client's work.
Upwork guarantees my payment because I use the tracker.
Prospective clients can read reviews of what other clients say about me/my work.
Doing great work allows me to stand out in the crowd.
The ability to choose working with and contributing to clients I love!
I don't have to track down payments or deal with clients not paying at all.
I don't have to spend non-billable time generating invoices.
My taxes are calculated as a sole proprietor.
I diversify my income by working with 2-3 clients at a time, but have been working with my current 3 fabulous clients long-term, which keeps me out of the interview/client search mode.
Clients love getting honest reviews about the freelancers they choose, especially compared to the limited information you get from checking an employee's reference with an employer: title, salary history, service dates, and maybe if the employee is eligible for re-hire.
I believe in Upwork so much, I own UPWK stock and will continue to buy in!
Upwork is great place to work remotely. It gives everything you need to find jobs, communicate with customers, track your progress, make reports and get paid. I've been working through Upwork for 5 years and very happy with the service. Customer support is responsive and willing to help. On the other hand, working remotely is not for everyone and it is not easy. I guess it might be hard to get started, because of the high competition and other top-level freelancer with higher ratings... Well, live is not easy. That's the fact. Believe in yourself and you will succeed!
Answer: They are horrible. Every freelancer I've gotten from Upwork has cost me more to fix the small job they have done. There's absolutely no customer service! I would stay away
Answer: This is not the place to inquire.
Answer: No, just 20% of your job when we talk about fixed price, and same for hourly but after some week it's been 10%
Answer: Go to Settings › Contact Info › Click the Close my account link. If you meet the requirements, click the button to confirm that you want to close your account.
Answer: I am a customer and have had a really horrible experience. Upwork claims a 100% guarantee before you pay anything. That is not true. The process is actually quite horrible. You put money in escrow. You only get your money back after a bad contract if the freelancer agrees to release the money. If the freelancer refuses, you get a bargain offer to still pay them something but still you are paying for a bad job you can't use. Then, if you refuse to bargain over a bad job, you are told that it will cost you an additional $389 to arbitrate with a 3rd party affiliate that the customer (me), the freelancer (scammer) and Upwork (ripoff enabler) has to pay. I took it all the way to arbitration with the end result being that Upwork decided that I was just too uninformed to know their policy and that they would give me a one time only refund of my original amount. What they didn't tell me what that they just gave me a "credit" of my original amount and that was the end. So I am still out the original amount and can't get my money back. This sight is a ripoff. Plain and simple.
Answer: Because of their policy changes which are geared towards the client rather than the freelancer. They have dug their own grave with their policy changes of late.
Answer: Go to Get Paid on PC or Mobile, you will see 3 dots in front of your payment method, tap to select edit/remove to change them. Go to Billing Method on PC under Billing Section and tap three dots to change (edit/remove). Thanks
Answer: Be part and see, dont look at the sold mine reviews people, upwork can bush you to reach.
Answer: I agree with Sam. This place is a scam. They have bad reviews everywhere. Katrina is probably working for them!
