There is no recourse say your in a city and get the address wrong,an Uber driver will leave you on the side of the highway,and you will have to call another Uber, rain or shine. That's been my experience twice. Please don't use uber eats, the uber company will never ever support you if the restaurant cancel on your items and yes even if you're a valued customer such as a platinum, I had the worst experience and uber let this restaurants took over $160 out of my account and again the restaurant call me and told me to cancel because they didn't have what I ask for but yet I'm the one who has to suffer worse customer experience ever.

Uber is awful. At home in england i live in a village just outside of a town, near London and they can never get any availability.
I tried using it on holiday in Croatia, the same thing, and worse it made me wait around for 30 minuets, telling me there will be availability shortly and it never came.
Never use this Uber, just use a taxi service, must quicker and reliable and it's only slightly expensive, because at the end of the day time is money!

If I wanted the refund added back to my card to contact the help section in the app and talk to customer support, well i talked to Clarice and she tells me that there is no way for me to get a refund? Why would I receive an email telling me in detail just to contact them within 90 days and they will add it to the card on file. She was very rude and i will not being using Uber for anything again!
On Friday October 8th, at approximately 11:00 AM, I ordered an Uber through the Veterans Administration (authorized due to my disability) to take me from the V.A. Outpatient Clinic in Cape Coral (2489 Diplomat Parkway E, Cape Coral, FL *******) to my residence in Fort Myers.
After I got into the car, the driver began working with his cell phone, apparently attempting to have it map out the route to my residence. It quickly became apparent that the driver spoke absolutely NO English - none! He continued to work with his phone, and twice got out of the car to attempt to speak to the drivers of other vehicles that were their to pick up other patients departing the facility. None of those efforts were successful. On several occasions, he actually drove around the facility parking lot, apparently attempting to get a signal to his cell phone. Again, with no success. He continued to ignore my request to take me home.
After no less than 25 minutes, and using my cell phone to get directions in Spanish, I was able to convince him to leave the facility and take me home.
Why should anyone who speaks NO English be permitted to pick up customers at a location where EVERYONE speaks English!
When I attempted to file a complaint with Uber, they told me that the Veteran's Administration would have to file, since they ordered the service. Really?
This site/app is a train wreck. Your data gets stolen, hacked and they will refuse to delete the account (even though they advertise you can, you can't). I had a driver come back to my house and refuse to leave until I call the police. He wanted my number. This was creepy and is what sparked the request to delete the account. 2 weeks and they won't. DO NOT USE IT.
After a conversation I did get my money back.

Took a ride on 20.8.23 from north shore, auckland to holiday inn express hotel in the city. Our indian uber driver kept nodding off behind the wheel, and my friend had to keep talking to the driver during the ride to keep him awake. The driver then shared his personal life including the properties he owns and rents out and that uber driving is just one way he does to pay his mortgage. I'm concerned that this driver is so tired or have been drinking alcohol and will have an accident and endanger his passengers or other motorists behind his wheel. Unfortunately, my friend used his app, i didn't, and he has since went back overseas. I hope Uber would conduct regular blood alcohol testing for its drivers, including checks on how many hours they are doing behind the wheel of an Uber licensed/ registered car.

Very irritated with the automated chat service and order cancellation processing. On Sept 2,2023 I purchased an order from Poke Burri for $29.77. Not realizing I used the wrong card I go to change payment method only about 1-2 mins but the only way you can do that is if you cancel the order and reorder. I was then notified by automated chat bot that if I wanted to cancel then I would be charge $17.80 due to restaurant receiving order and driver being selected which both could be impossible within a 2 minute time frame. Before it asked if I wanted to proceed it asked for what reason did I want to cancel which I picked other hoping to add the reason of change payment method. Without authorization of a "YES I WANT TO CANCEL" the system immediately canceled my order charging me the unauthorized amount of $17.80 I did not confirm to. I contacted Help and talked to over 3 reps that stated I was ineligible for a refund due to account restriction from past returns which is also not understandable and feels truly unfair due to us patrons not being able to physically go to return an unwanted/missing/or inedible order that we normally would if we went to pick up carry out or ordered without the app. We are spending money with your establishment at hiked up prices and no matter the concern refunds should not be held at a point level and if that be the case include physical receipts in deliveries so we can return ourselves.
Charging me $17.80 for an unauthorized cancellation is insane and on top of that to say order had been processed within 2 minutes is unbelievable. I will continue to escalate my issue because I need to receive my refund immediately. I no longer wish to do business with Uber of any sort due to this issue happening multiple times for different reasons. Please escalate this message to whom ever it may concern. These are horrible policies and this is extremely horrible customer service. This is FRAUD! Fraudulent charges!
Today after coming back from a long day at work, I booked a cab on Uber. But the driver didn't reach my location, instead he was parked somewhere else and I told him to come at my location. He said he can't locate me so I should come to his car. He was extremely rude while saying this. I have been explaining to him my location but in return he was very rude and ultimately I had to walk to the car. I was very tired and all I wanted was to get home and that's why I didn't say anything but I'll make sure he pays for this.
These guys are a scam with false prices on booking a trip then they are allowed to Jack up the total with a pile of bullchit charges. I'm never using these azzholes again. SCAM!
When I wanted to use Uber to check rates, I was forced to sign in (I've used them several times in the past). Then when they sent me texts to get signed in, the computer didn't recognize the password their computer had just texted me...so I couldn't access their computer to even estimate the rates. So I went to Lyft and had a great time. Ditch Uber. I don't know how they've maintained such a high rating. AND...Their rates change by the minute. I was at the airport needing a ride home. Their site told me it was a $54 charge for a $15 ride. Not acceptable. And no number to call to straighten it out.
I booked my appointment and it was going to cost me $14.76 and then they canceled my appointment on their own and then we're trying to charge me $52 to go for a 10 minute drive this customer service sucks this company is ridiculous do not ever use this company or lift ever again they are crooks con artist and they f*** you every way they can
I just did an Uber One trial. I went to cancel before my trial ended and was told I couldn't cancel without being charged, as they had already charged me before my trial ended. Customers now need to cancel at least 48 hours before renewal or a trial end date to avoid being charged. This is in their terms, but it's not clearly displayed at sign-up. I've had Uber One before, trials, and a subscription I paid, and I can confirm it wasn't like this in the past. The change seems to exist to make it harder to cancel and have people pay for additional months they don't want. They did refund me after I complained, but it was apparent they've been dealing with this a lot and that the employees know the change in terms was made to steal money, assuming most people wouldn't ask for the refund. It's also unbelievable that customer service is supposed to say "no" once before issuing the refund and not grant it immediately when someone is trying to cancel before the trial ends. This should be illegal.
