Stolen tools. Ext. Northern California
February 6, 2022

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK moved all my furniture fifty miles. Every thing arrived in good shape. I gave them a solid oak table and 4 chairs. There were three young people. There truck was backed up to my garage to unload my furniture. I was very busy in the kitchen with installers when the girl from the moving company came to me and asked for a tip so I gave her $1oo.oo for the three of them and they left. The next day i discovered 4handheld elelectic drills and a new small generator was and 4 solid oak t. V. tables were missing. These three young people were the only ones who access to my garage! I called the company and complained the lady on phone said the company screened their employees very well. She would not believe me.

Lost part of my furniture

Coffee table with glass inserts was received without the glass. This makes the coffee table useless. I have contacted the company in Knoxville several times and was told they would look into it. No response from the company has been received.

Wouldn't Use This Company Again
October 13, 2021

Build a new home and hired this company to move my household goods based on friend recommendation. Good part was they sent 4 men and a truck, although one was fairly lazy. Another good part is that they neatly wrapped everything for protection, although they did not wrap one of the lamps and it got chipped. The move out was fine. The move into the new home was almost a disaster. They tried to get a couch in our upstairs room and couldn't. They proceeded to damage the door frame doing so and nicked the walls in the hall and the upstairs. Lazy guy tracked mud all over our new bedroom carpet. Contacted them about the damage. They sent some "slug" out to repair. He slopped paint on the walls and was about to use plastic wood to repair the door frame. Told him no go, not doing that. I got them to reimburse me for the door frame and hired someone to replace it and also properly paint the walls. My expense the labor was $300 but I gives me peace of mind that the work was done right.

Don't waste your money
September 20, 2021

I have heard nothing but terrible reviews for this company. Sadly they were the only company available for my parents move.
They arrived at 8am and left at 10pm. There were 8 men. 8 men and only 4 worked while the other 4 sat around. My parents had already moved 90% of the stuff from their home. They just needed furniture moved and a few boxes.
Then come 10pm they charged my parents an additional 1900 because it was after hours.
The best part, they didn't even finish unloading those items. They took them and told my parents they needed to wait an additional day to get the rest of their furniture instead of the next day. Then they charged them another 1500 because they kept it an additional day, not by my parents choice. Not to mention while they moved their furniture they broke their stairs, scuffed their wood floor and broke several items. And to top it off, my parents are still missing items and they moved two weeks ago.
The company assured them they will fix the damages but will not call them back. So they paid 5000 for broken furniture and property and over 40hrs of doing nothing. They reimbursed them 1900 but had them still pay the 3100 quote.
They promised to pay for damages and send someone out to repair. THEY HAVENT SENT ANYBODY. NOR HAVE THEY BOTHERED TO CALL THEM BACK.
Very sad. Talk about taking advantage of people. I knew when my parents called me at 6:30 that these men were milking the hours since they are paid hourly. Anything to scam the customer. Pathetic.

I wouldn't use this company if they were the last moving company on the planet.
Don't waste your money, because trust me, they will milk you for every cent they can.

Dissatisfied Customer
July 27, 2021

The movers came in with the contact the one that presented read it as if never seen before, which was time consuming while movers waited on this process. I had two stops storage and a home and I identified with first walk thru of what went to each stop one stop at a time so could be placed on truck properly, (no notes were taken so stickers or etc., were available so they came back and asked me at least 10 times does this go 1st or 2nd stop. The workers were very slow in moving things out, talking and seemingly delaying tactics. Also, when time to go they walked thru the truck a couple of times I guess to secure items but seems more of a time staller to me. I had a lamp that was broken and they stated well that kind of lamp we should not have moved it is too fragile of course not until after broken and wanted to only give me $6 for it and wind up taking $25 off of a bill for a lamp my Mom bought me for over $200.00 which I feel at least 1 hour or more was used as stalling. They advised they could dismantle items if needed like beds and desks, however when they arrived they had no tools no Allen wrench of any size or a wrench to remove my washer and dryer which should have been basic tools, I had to provide these tools. I only moved part of the furniture of my home with hopes to move the rest with this company after the sell of my home as well as later when relocating but after this fiasco I will not use them EVER AGAIN and will advised a my friends that are moving soon to not use them due to the excessive waste of time they seem to use as well as the charges are extremely higher than other people I know who have used movers... Would NOT RECOMMEND!

Excellent Service
June 18, 2021

Nick and Brandon with Two Men and a Truck arrived on schedule prepared and very personable. They were professional fast efficient and skilled. They were like machines, expedited the move seamlessly. Nothing was damaged and couldn't have been more accommodating. Nick impressed me with his skill and great attitude consistently. He mentored his partner with respect and patience. Never stopped from 10am til 4 pm. Had such a friendly personable healthy attitude, was infectious. He blew me away with his skill to maneuver a huge washing machine down the narrow stairs and door wall without damaging a thing. Can speak highly enuf Definitely will be using them in the future! EXCELLENT Customer Service! Thanks for everything again, Pat Turnipseed

Don't care about their customers
June 7, 2021

I had used Two men and a truck 4 times for all my moves. My recent experience was the worst I've ever had. My quote was for 4.5 to 5 hours at an estimated total of $1400. I had everything packed in boxes with the exclusion of our record collection which was all in crates (and we previously advised them of this during the quote). It took them 10 hours to move and they charged us double what we were quoted. They were incredibly disorganized and careless. All boxes were clearly labeled, yet they left boxes wherever, stacking heavier items on top of items clearly labeled "fragile". My entire dish set was completely shattered! Other items were broken, furniture chipped and floor scratched. I've been trying for a month to speak to someone and get a resolution but they don't seem to care about their customers because they don't call me back. The movers seemed to be purposely taking longer to move items and lied about the number of furniture pieces we had when they reported their final report to their bosses. Will never use them again as they hold no accountability or respect for their customers.

Customer Warning Do Not Use This Service
May 30, 2021

Do Not Use This Moving Company as they will not take responsibility for there mistakes.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company. Here is my experience. Set up for 2 moves and storage for a couple weeks between moves. 1st move moving out of my home seem to go well. Guys seem to move quickly and do a good job. The team that moved me into my home had all the issues from my perspective. Right in the beginning the mover tells me he dropped my tv and he will give me cash not to say anything. Sketchy but I told him the price to replace it and showed him via online and then he said I would have to call a manager he didn't have the cash? Alright stuff happens when moving. By the end of the move we had a broken 55in tv, baby crib destroyed, cooler full of drinks glass bottles all smashed, broken lamps, missing broom, kitchen step stool left on truck and not returned, damaged my front door, damaged the walls walking into my new place, my couch looks like it was covered and slide in a dirty storage unit, and missing my vacuum. Not to mention the mover was telling me about his drug use and how he doesn't like to drink but like all the expensive bottles of liquor I had in a box? Wait you opened my boxes to see what's inside? The mover also proceed to inform me all the issues where the first team because they just threw my stuff everywhere in the storage unit and it took them a long time to load up the truck. I find it suspect it took them nearly 5 hours to move from there storage unit to there truck but only 3 hours to unload into an apartment up a flight of stairs.

So I call the manager go over these items send pictures pricing and filled out everything they asked to replace these items. The manager sends me an email some days later and says we will send you a check for $62 and change. I am furious and insulted that I am looking at over a thousand dollars in damage and that was the compensation offered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that so the district manager called me a couple days later and we had a discussion about it and he would investigate then get back to me next day. It's been 2 weeks no follow up. I would assume they do not care at these point now that they have my money.

Do Not Use This Moving Company as they will not take responsibility for there mistakes.

Two Men and a Headache!
April 25, 2021

Two Men and a Truck Doral was the Worst moving company I have ever had dealt with. I have received $360 refund for over $1000 in damages. I am told by the operations manager that I did not "buy the additional insurance so there is nothing further to be done". Besides the unprofessionalism, broken items, negligence, admission of truck not having the proper materials and the breaking of glass (that was never found) I sent pictures and video to the Operations Manager- Julian Montalvo proving all the facts below. I started my morning move by having to immediately call Julian after the three moving men stated that their truck had not been "packed properly" and they did not have enough packing material to move my items safely. I was told they would "make do" and since we were on a time constraint, they would "make it work". This ended up meaning they used MY bubble wrap but of course this was obviously not enough. I have never heard of the customer having to pay the consequence for a moving company not sending enough wrap, tape, or blankets for a small TWO BEDROOM TWO BATH move 6 miles away! Not to mention they used my STEAK KNIVES to open boxes and cut their materials since they came with one blade among the three movers. In total, (with pictures and videos to prove to management) I have scratches and dents on furniture they damaged, a broken television, broken ceramics (heavy boxes set directly on top of boxes labels: FRAGILE CHINA/PLATES/CERAMICS/GLASSWARE, carpet stains from their dirty sneakers (brand new carpet installed 24 hours ago), boxes left downstairs and in disarray clearly marked to what room they should go in, heavy furniture set directly on top of clothes that had fallen during their improper wrapping and negligent transport of the bureau (they say you can leave clothes in your drawers but never again!) I am missing two glass shelves; however, remnants of broken glass are on my living room carpet (they clearly broke the glass shelves and discarded of them without me knowing). Lastly and the cherry on top was the smell of alcohol on one of the movers' breath! An already stressful day made into an unforgettable nightmare by Two Men and a Truck. I think what is the most disappointing is speaking with Julian and being told that he would definitely "take care of everything and make sure he does something extra for the customer service aspect" of my terrible experience. Not only did this end up being false, but his reply was by email and stating that I had not bought the "extra insurance". I had no idea Two Men and a Truck improperly packing their trucks without the necessary number of blankets, tape and wrap have anything to do with a customer purchasing additional insurance!

THE COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!
April 14, 2021

My contract stated I would have a 3 man team but because they were short staffed only 2 were there for the 1st hour. One of there team member's had to drop the 3rd member off. As they waited for this team member 1 of the 2 movers mentioned how he was supposed to be off but they called him in last minute. This is just to be clear how short staffed they were. A few hours into the move the team showed me that the truck was full and they didn't have much room for anything else. So he called his Manager, Brittany to advise her of the issue. Once he hung up, i asked "so what's the resolution?" he said "they don't care". So Brittany calls me highly agitated telling me they can't move my refrigerator because it requires them to take the doors off and they can't do that. I told her that was false because Home Depot removed my front door to bring it in so they still needed to move it. So she wanted to argue about that. At this point I'm pissed because she seems to have an attitude when I'm the one that paid her company to move. Fast forward past the back and forth arguing, my next question is how are you going to move the rest of my items. I sold my house and I need to be out of here by 5pm? She goes on to say she needs to "see" if she can get another truck out there and how it was gonna cost extra blah, blah, blah... My response is I don't care about the logistics. Brittany and I had words and she decided to hang up the phone in my face. What i kept telling her was I'm not arguing with someone I paid to do a job, so just GET IT DONE! If i wanted to be this involved in the details i would have moved myself with friends. The point of agreeing to pay a company 1000 plus dollars for a move is to get it done professionally and in a timely manner. Well none of that happen. So, the other truck never came and a lot of large items including my $3000 refrigerator was still left at the property.
So, i had to make arrangements with OpenDoor to RENT my house back for $213 per additional day. I didn't find another moving company to come out until Monday (the original move took place on Sat), i had to pay them $575 for 3 hours and I'll add that they were able to move my refrigerator but just removing the front door to the house and I paid OpenDoor an additional $426 to have the home for 2 more days. On Saturday, i informed 1 of the movers that I wasn't paying the balance of $592 because they didn't complete the job. He called who he needed to call, i tipped him $100 and he left.
Right after he left I called Amex and had them block any additional charges from Two Men and Truck. After, i was alerted by Amex that the company tried twice to submit the charges I got a call from Two Men and truck no apology just a call informing me that they worked 6 hours and needed to be paid. Whomever, the man was that called me could careless that the job wasn't finished, the extra expenses that i incurred nor the fact that his employee hung up on me. So, he mad sure to threaten me with collections and a lawsuit if I didn't pay. I told him I could careless and that I'd be glad to go to court.
However, Two Men and a Truck continued to try to charge my account and it eventually went through. Right now, i have a dispute with Amex because they said sometimes companies use different vendors (or something like it) to try to process payments and that's why it was allowed to go through.
So, we'll see how that goes. I was going to let that process handles it's self until I discovered that my $600 Fuji road bike that 2 Men and a truck moved and threw in my garage has a bent frame and the back tire is no longer on the bike. It's not rideable at this point. Prior to discovering this... maybe 3 days after the move I took the shrink wrap off my new Samsung washer/dryer set to find the entire top of the dryer dented. This company is disgusting and should be ashamed of ripping folks off and destroying their property. DO BETTER!

Horrible Experience - Stockbridge GA
March 30, 2021

I did not have the best experience with my move. The movers were friendly, but apart of my desk was broken by one of the movers. Also, I had a box of cleaning supplies from the laundry room contained gallons of bleach. One mover told me he could not carry certain items on the truck and asked me to unlock my car so he can put a few boxed items in the back seat. The mover put the box in side ways and not flat down to fit more items in the back seat. I noticed I needed to take the two boxes out of my car after the move was completed and noticed the smell of bleach. I immediately moved my boxes and saw that some bleach spilled out on the back seat of my car on my leather seat. I reached out to the company and I was advised they would not be compensating me for any damage done by the bleach spill. Overall, horrible experience!

Ignorant movers.
January 11, 2021

These clowns are horrible. They moved someone into my complex today. They showed up here not one of them wearing a mask. I asked them to wear one and they told me to f*** off they dont have to. Then for 6 hours they left the common way door open allowing cold air to come in. They were advised by all the current residents to please keep the door shut as we pay to heat that hallway all combined. They again to us to f*** off they can do as they want. Then they cursed out my neighbor when he came home and snapped on them for the way the acted and they call maintenance as claimed they were being harassed. We all have video proof of it. Very unprofessional company. They dont care at all. Cant even follow mask mandates to protect their clients and neighbors of their clients.

Horrible Movers
January 5, 2021

My son and his wife booked the Norwalk, Ct Two Men and A truck for their move. Today the movers showed up and refused to wear masks. My daughter in law stated that they went back in their truck and drove away. She called the Norwalk office and was told that they don't wear masks while doing the move and the office then cancelled their move and refunded their money while leaving them high and dry. HOWEVER, when you call any of the TMT offices a whole long spiel message comes on telling about how Covid compliant they are. I called the main office in Lansing, Michigan and was told they don't wear masks. The public needs to know that Two Men and a Truck DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SPREAD OF COVID! Do NOT use these people. I immediately called the mover I used this year and they are moving my son and his wife and YES, they wear masks because as the rep said, it is code and the responsible thing to do.
Horrible company... stay away... stay very far away... did not wear masks, refused to do so and got in their truck and drove away... really? And don't respond you are Covid compliant... you are NOT... am posting this on all social media platforms...
***UPDATE owner responded with more lies saying how the movers are required to wear masks... the movers REFUSED to wear masks and the office stood behind them and cancelled the move... even Angelina at the home office in Lansing, Michigan said they don't have to wear masks... TMT says treat the customer like your grandma... well it's evident they want to kill her...

Worst moving company ever
December 30, 2020

This was the move from hell. The movers were idiots, and they didn't take some of our stuff. They kept saying that they had another job they had to do in NJ. Not my problem. I would never use them again or if anybody I know is thinking about moving, I would strongly advise them to use somebody else.

Passing the buck@ Two Men & a Truck
December 7, 2020

This company's goal of "exceeding your expectations" fell woefully short! Our move's original assessment & booking was done thru Jackson, MI office, however due to COVID outbreak among some of their staff, Lansing, MI office took the job. Poor communication between the 2 locations resulting in cost exceeding our initial quote by $1500, 14 hrs to move a mere 2 miles (if that) away & still MANY items left unpacked, unmoved. This also due in part to packers sent to our home the day prior to the move who were not very dilligent workers. Neither location willing to take responsibility nor compensate us in any way for our dissatisfaction. Appalling! This company's slogan should be "we pass the buck@ Two Men & a Truck". Better yet a more fitting mantra: GOOD LUCK if u hire Two men & a truck.
Sincerely,
P. Eason

Damaged my entire bedroom set!
November 24, 2020

Worse decision that I ever made was selecting this company to move my furniture! Every piece of large furniture that the three guys moved three miles for me was damaged beyond repair! The guys moved everything without wrapping items properly and dropping items sideways! Then I was asked to email them receipts from my furniture and I easily did because my furniture wasn't even a year old yet and days later said that I should have read the contract because if anything gets damaged they only offer $. 60 (SIXTY SENSE) per a pound if it's beyond repair! The trash service handles dumpsters better then this company handled my furniture! Jefferson, New Orleans location!

Charlie, Josh and Rider were so amazing and kind
October 25, 2020

We had Two Men and a Truck move my grandmothers things from West Valley, Utah up to Roy, Utah after her passing. The guys that showed up were very professional and organized. They were kind and took care of her things like they belong to their own grandmother and were very gentle with her organ that she was so proud of. I can not say enough about how grateful i am that we choose this company to move her things. I would like to mention them by name because i feel that their boss should know that that they have some super amazing employees. A great big Thank you to Charlie, Josh and Rider. Thank you so much!
