I posted a founded review of a product i indeed purchased and they removed right away my post for no reason but their regular blabla... dont trust trust pilot, they think they are some kind of authority but they are only a bunch of crap, Go Yelp!
I submitted a negative review against Avvo.com, which is notorious for deleting bad lawyer reviews. The same thing happened when Trustpilot censured my negative review against Avvo. Apparently, people who truly have bad experiences with companies are silenced and robbed of their right to free speech. I contacted Trustpilot and only the sales dept answers. In order to dispute a review being removed, you have to email (not talk to a rep) them and ask them to reconsider. They removed my review because of guidelines, which is exactly why Avvo removed my review against the attorney. Trustpilot has 2 rules: business first, consumer last.

I wrote a review on trustpilot about a site I made a purchase from (retro-stage). My review was long and detailed, and I tried to be helpful by explaining to others how to properly select sizes from that site - it's an asian company so the sizes are VERY different from western sizes. Any way - I got an email from trustpilot that they took my review down because of "unusual review patterns."
Considering I'm a real person who made a real review - I'm more than annoyed. I'll include photos and let ya'll decide if you want to trust them.
Also as a side note, if you're trying to find out whether a site is reputable o not, don't go by the reviews on their own site, and don't go by the reviews on just a couple other sites (trustpilot or even sitejabber) - read as many reviews and info as you can - LEARN as much as you can. Then make an informed opinion.
Every bad review I read from the site is typical for many asian sites - "it didnt fit, the size is wrong" (they didnt bother to measure themselves and assumed all size XL are the same) or "it never arrived" (they didnt bother waiting the full shipping period -- or it got stuck in customs, which is not the fault of customer or company. I've ordered many products from different companys - once or twice I waited about 2 months before receiving a item from China. It happens. If you do your research you cann better prepare yourself.
The platform for businesses helps companies from all over the world proactively collect customer reviews. It's the customers who write both product and seller reviews, keeping it third-party verified.
TrustPilot wrote. If you need data prior to 2019, we would need you to present us with a court order requesting this.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
This was in response to me requesting data about a company that had scammed my cousin for over a thousand pounds. My cousin had made his decision to go with a company and their services based on the positive reviews he and I read on TrustPilot
My Response to TrustPilot after they refused to supply me with information about the number of negative reviews they have had removed for a specific company that operates a scam.
This tells me a lot about TrustPilot and about the way you operate,
However I believe TrustPilot are also complicit in scams by aiding and abetting fraudulent companies that use TrustPilot in order to harbour fake reviews and are able to manipulate TrustPilot into removing negative reviews which in turn is duping people into believing certain companies and their services are legit.
And TrustPilot's response not to provide me with basic information makes me believe TrustPilot are hiding something.
Review on TrustPilot are not to be trusted.
I have written an honest review about appleiphoneunlock.uk. As this site is known for Fraud. You can look the reviews in this site. Unfortunately, this is not what they are meant to be for.
My honest reviews were removed even though my feedback are properly backed up with proper documents. See my attached screen shots for my reply. And here's what they have to say:
"We can't allow these kinds of statements on Trustpilot because they risk causing offence to people, contravene our User Guidelines, and may also break the law."
Like what? The proof was there. Oh yeah. The site being reviewed is a premium user of this feedback site. So that is why.
Very poor service received from the team. Rude conduct, interrupting us over the phone when trying to explain our worries, not responding for weeks on email. Totally ignoring our concerns, and the only moment when they are contacting us was only to cash in the monthly invoice. A lot of our clients are already unsubscribed from their lists, so the service that are pretending they're providing is not useful as our clients do not want to effectively make a review on Trustpilot website. Really useless this Trustpilot reviews system, and is being taking over by free services and more efficient like Google reviews or other platforms which are free and don't have such a poor name among the public.
"This is meant to be a review site where people can get information and, hopefully, good advice from other Consumers. This is definitely not the case.
Unless the reviews given are in favour of the 'paying' Company's on Trustpilots list they will not print them or they hound you for months to change your review. This has just happened to me.
This site should be banned because it does not reflect the true intention of buyers!"
The company which damaged our goods and ignored us until we took them to Court challenged our honest review time after time. Trustpilot upheld it time after time. This is because the company we were reviewing pay Trustpilot to uphold their reputation. Never ever trust an "Independent" Trustpilot review. It's a business.
Don't believe all of the reviews on Trustpilot, they are written by the companies that pay a subscription to Trustpilot. Any genuine negative reviews are removed.
I made a negative review of an app, the company made a complaint against my review and my review was removed.
Agreed the website is in business to make fraudulent we sites look legitimate. They removed my review for not being "specific" enough. Baloney
Here is the case of an e-business whose managers has just been sentenced to one year of prison for fraud.
Meanwhile, on Trustpilot, this business has many positive reviews (almost all fake) and a rating of 7.4.
Trustpilot has never undertaken any serious control of these fake reviews. On the contrary, Trustpilot manages censors about 50% of the negative (almost all true) reviews.
I have fought with Trustpilot over honest reviews I placed against a certain company for months. I have rewrote the reviews over and over. I know very well how to write a review without slander and remember, slander is making a false statement. And I know how to state the facts and the truth especially when I have documents to prove my complaint. It is my opinion that Trustpilot is enabling scammers who pay to be their clients. Trustpilot is protecting these clients by removing honest unhappy reviews. Oddly, posting honest reviews is what Trustpilot advertises itself as doing but they have me fooled. I personally would look elsewhere for an honest review.
The positive reviews I wrote were quickly published... but then a negative one I wrote about Lendy, just seems to be held up with a never ending;
"This might take a while - We'll email you when it's live" message.
When site only publishes "good" reviews, its hardly to be trusted.
I posted a review in trustpilot but it removed it without asking me for documents when the related company placed dispute on my review. In the name of policies, they do anything they want which are beneficial to companies. There is no freedom for giving reviews. I think they may get some benefits from some companies.
Wrote a complaint review on Trustpilot. Complaint company responded wanting invoice number, sent, no response. Trustpilot then removed my complaint pending verification. I sent invoice proving validity but they kept my complaint censored with no response to my queries. On top of this, read many positive reviews that were obviously fake.
Posted same complaint on sitejabber and they had no problem with it. Actually got results from posting here.
I ordered a wrist watch through Trustpilot.com and I can say I received quality product from the online store they recommended. My watch was delivered within the stipulated time and was Intact. The wristwatch was exactly the same as it appears on the image. When there are problems, the customer support is responsive and addresses your concern quickly. I don't understand the negative reviews about the site.
Supposedly changed guidlines so that neg reviews stayed in place until they had been looked into. Untrue... I now think these guys are open to any scam merchant that'll pay them.
They only communicate in templates they don't seem to want to be accountable. I always thought they were trustworthy turns out the pilots selling counterfeit goods with massive rip off prices
I do not like this Website.
I wanted to leave review for lovely software and their agents but Trustpilot first applied my review and than deleted it thinking I'm not a real human!
Not satisfied at all. I'd better use Sitejabber from now.
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
