Up until a couple of weeks ago I would have rated THS a lot higher, however after being a member for 14 months, and having completed over 15 house sits through the site, for which I was rated 5 stars for each, it was time for my membership to end. Due to personal reasons, resources and energy needing to be directed elsewhere, I have elected not to renew - this is nothing to do with this review.
The service post membership ending from customer service is why I rating them only 2 star - and honestly I feel it should only be 1!
There is a sit I am due to do later this month, that I do not have the contact details of the Pet Owner, and THS are being no help what so ever in passing my contact details on to the Pet Owner to ensure they are left in a last minute struggle to find a sitter for their pets... Sadly a very disappointing place to end up in.

This well designed service with web and mobile app allows pet and house sitters (and the pet or home owners who need trustworthy sitters) to connect worldwide after paying an annual fee. It's screening and search functions are efficient and well designed. A great team behind the scenes are ready to help with any questions - and they ensure that everything runs smoothly. Loving petsitting - a great way to travel and meet some really great people and their furred and feathered friends.

I certainly enjoyed makng three new cat friends for a week in Ada, Michigan
The house owners/cat owners were exceptional people to work with... their first time on turstedhousesitters.com and they did a perfect job. Very welcoming people and interesting too!

The house was lovely, the cats were happy to continue their routines with a new person in charge, and the Ada area of Michigan is one of my favorites.

Certainly would recommend this booking to anyone wanting to have a hassle free time in Ada, Michigan... and get three new fur friends!

Trustedhousesitters has a lot of houses on site, and a great system to find them.
I have tried other housesitting sites in various countries but this one is the best.
It is extremely well done, with a great set up between the lists and the maps, great options to select specific search options like time, type of animals, etc.
The review system is well done.

We have found sits in China, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, and will later find sits in Europe.

And having had to use the customer service twice for small issues or questions, I was amazed at how fast and efficient they were in their response.

Really really worth it, we are joining in for another year!

Seamus is an amazing dog. A very fast greyhound. He is well behaved and a pleasure to take care of. Patrice left excellent instructions for his care, and for the house. She also left lots of information about the area. The Villages is almost overwhelming with all the things to do. We had a wonderful time taking Seamus for walks, and to the different Squares for entertainment in the evenings. She has an immaculate house and yard. We highly recommend this sit. Suzanne & John

I recently returned from a house/dog sit in the beautiful English countryside. It
Amazes me how people can trust a complete stranger from another country but they did and it was such a fabulous experience. I think both parties should definitely skype if they can't meet in person and you should both feel comfortable with each circumstance. I've had two wonderful experiences as a house/pet sitter and I've also made some lifelong friends. I highly recommend Trusted Housesitters, if you want to travel and if you love animals. Sometimes it doesn't involve animals and people may prefer that. I for one love the opportunity to have a "pet" when I am on vacation. I hope to do another sit soon. Thank you Trusted Housesitters for this amazing opportunity to live like a native in another land!

Although we have done only 3 housesits between here and Australia, the process has been so smooth and enabled us to meet lovely like minded people and give us the opportunity to look after their homes and pets. From beachfront, to world heritage sites and stunning national rural areas, we have been blessed. Long may it continue. It was never difficult, just simplicity done excellently!

Yes, it can sometimes be hard to stand out in the crowd of other excellent housesitters, but if you persevere and are friendly, enthusiastic and approachable, this is an excellent experience, backed up by a great service from Trusted Housesitters. I have really enjoyed my assignments, and met some lovely people and their pets. My simple advice is to go into it with your eyes open, do your advance research of where you are going, and ask lots of questions of your host if you are at all unsure. This really is a mutually beneficial service, so enjoy it!
