I wanted an adventure. It was. This part pushed me to the limit. I wanted the full ranch experience and it didn´t let me down. Frankly an experience of a lifetime. Be prepared to be told what to do and when (for riding) but there is a reason. Its tough if you feel you are "rusty" but I asked for...
I always look at TripAdvisor reviews before booking a hotel. I recently stayed at a Best Western in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The hotel was right off the expressway. My daughter and I went into the hot tub and had a male peeking in the window. When I asked the front desk about their safety, they had no cameras, and laughed about the male peeking in the window. I will not go by TripAdvisor any more because they obviously don't check these hotels.
I use trip advisor as my first go-to source when checking out the reviews of sites/establishments during my travel planning
Want a great Steakhouse in Reno? The Sun Valley Steakhouse in Reno Nevada. What great place. You would never know your in Hobey's Casino with this restaurant. The food is great, the service is wonderful. And if you want to go to a Wine Dinner they have just put on the Best with J. Loho Wines Company. What A great dinner. I was even full when I left With the relaxing pace of dinner and great service I would recommend The Sun Valley Steakhouse at Hobey's casino anytime
I love the pics that people post! I have our entire vacation planned out before we ever leave home! Once we are on vacation, we are just having fun & never wasting half a day trying to figure out what to do!
Able to find good stays, good food via TripAdvisor! I like how they keep fake reviews out too!
Great for looking up places for site seeing.
Allows users to post own photos and comments of sites they have visited.
Users also can rate and review sites as well as hotels.
Have found that some people can not be satisfied, (ie no western breakfast/food, weak internet etc) if you wanted the luxuries of home stay there.
This is why I read all reviews on the site, not just the good, or bad, gives a better picture of the place.
Haven't used their hotel booking site as of yet, looking forward to that later this year.
I have found TripAdvisor very dependable over many years. It offers a well-designed, easily navigated website, and if one bothers to actually read reviews, one can find dependable, helpful information.
I looked at several sites to list my property as a vacation rental. I chose trip advisor because the information I read stated the fees were 3%. When going thru the step by step process of listing it I again read about the 3% fee. Once the listing was live and I received my first inquiry I realized the amount showing to potential renters was way higher. My price was 2500 a week but the customers would see a number of 2830 which was way higher than the 3% and rather than take it from my 2500 they just increased the price of the rental making me look higher than my competition. All emails were responded to anywhere from 8 to 16 hours later and would only answer 1 question and neglect to answer the other questions. The one main question that was continuously ignored was "is there a phone number where I can actually speak to a human". My final email to them stated I would cancel the listing if they did not answer my question. One full day later they responded but by that time I had it with them. Just a big scam. No customer service and fees are tacked on over and above what you are renting for. In the end the response to the fee question was that they charge 5-15% booking fees and then didn't explain how they arrived at a figure of 15% on my listing.
So the scam is this: when you are listing your property and get to the fee section they refer to the 3% fee never mentioning the 5-15% until after you have listed and found out the hard way. By this point you have no proof that the only fee disclosure that appeared was the 3%
Disclosed while listing. Then they are obviously operating out of another country and don't respond for almost a full day each time because of the different time zones. The emails aren't properly responded to and some emails sound as if the person on the other end is completely uneducated and knows very little English. So dang frustrating but I've moved my listing to another site and will never use trip advisor for anything because of this. Big scam!
Ignore the very best and the very worst. As long as the bulk of the reviewers put a hotel in the top two categories, and there are a lot of reviews, you won't go far wrong.
Trip Advisor is my favorite online app. For checking on hotels and things to do. They have a map available and traveler reviews on the hotels. Yes I absolutely love TripAdvisor!
I absolutely LOVE this site! I'm speaking in regard to reviews. TA reviews have helped me tremendously in narrowing down my options in selecting a hotel or booking specific activities, especially when traveling abroad. I love how TA has it's own community of reviewers who contribute and share their experiences by posting images.
I had a horrible experience at a hotel in Paris that had bed bugs. Had I known about TA, I would have never booked that hotel. Upon discovering TA, I found out that the hotel I stayed in, had multiple negative reviews about the same bed bug issues (I still get chills!).
An improvement that TA can make is on their rates offered for hotel bookings. I've found that other hotel sites have lower rates as opposed to TA. If their rates were lower, I'd love to make TA my one stop destination for hotel reviews and bookings.
After being told we should list our properties on Trip Advisor we set about putting one of our properties up through a sister company (holidaylettings.uk) but htis has since been merged into the new Trip Advisor website along with another sister company (Flipkey).
This should have been fine as we were told that the listings would just be transferred across to the new dashboard and when we went to log into our account we were re-directed to this new site.
Problem is that we ended up with 2 listings for the original property but we cannot access one of them which means the costings and availability are completely out of date and there is nothing we can do about it.
We also have a couple of reviews on this listing that do not show up on the new listing but when our guests go to leave a review it goes onto the old listing not the new one.
We have been onto Trip Advisor several times but they seem either incapable or unwilling to sort things out.
Would I recommend Trip Advisor to anyone? Definitely not.
And have not been disappointed yet. Only once have a gotten a deal that was incredible but all the times I used TripAdvisor I got treated well, registrations were all correct and if we paid for extras they were all taken care of. Plus the rating system they have is the most real time you can get. Once we read about the hotel(Hilton) we were on our way to, with the gentleman complaining about wishing he had called before going to the lobby for quicker service, he was right, we did and may have passed him complaining still. Lol.
I love this site. It is so helpful and I love the emails I get telling me where I am at and how I am doing and that it is time for another review.
Reviews are believable. They list web sites of accommodations too so you can check out hotels more fully.
I have used TripAdvisor to get information about other countries. It gives you all of the information. They explain about weather, shopping, culture and the people. Hints are given on clothes to wear based on the time of year and climate. The different religions of the country, proper things to do and not do. You can find anything you need to know about planning your trip to any country in the world, hotels, taxis, buses, airports and if you need assistance hospitals and police are listed for cities in the country.
I'm both a reviewer on TripAdvisor and rely on the reviews of others. The consensuses of so many users are rarely, if ever, wrong. It's never steered me wrong. "Don't leave home without it."
Can be quite informative Negative to many adverts and it seems some of the negative reviews are quite undeserved written by disgruntled customers with an axe to grind More open honest reviews required A fairer method would be for Trip Adviser to contact the business or establishment to give them a chance to explain before a poor informed report ruins an otherwise good establishment.
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
