Tradesy generally enjoys a positive reputation among customers, particularly for its user-friendly platform, quality product offerings, and effective communication throughout the buying process. Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. While the majority of experiences are favorable, a segment of customers expresses dissatisfaction with the handling of disputes and the accuracy of listings, indicating a need for improved oversight and support.

Rude and unfriendly staff. I'll never shop with them again. They take weeks to solve problems, with a very long wait time on the phone.
Paying high fees to sell in their page, Tradesy will not have a neutral position while defending a case with a buyer. There is just a one direction evaluation and never offers a dialogue with the seller. The Customer Service repeats kindly the same type of responses that are of no help.
Unfair reviews and evaluations
There are many bags available online--all sizes, shapes, colors, styles. Prices are very reasonable.
I bought an MCM tote in August 2017 but after a couple weeks decided it was too small so I relisted it. Someone bought it during a 10% off sale and then returned it to Tradesy stating that it was a FAKE. Tradesy claims that they examined the bag and decided it was FAKE, however, there is no recourse for me because I didn't return it to them when I initially bought it. OBVIOUSLY, I didn't know it was FAKE. So now I am out over $800 and stuck with a fake bag. I've spent over $5000 over 2 years on this site, after this I am done.
I've always wanted a purse. An ex bought me a wallet in 1992 and I refused to carry it without the bag. Never been on the site so idk what to expect.
I loved the items for sale on Tradesy and found exactly what I was looking for! I cannot wait to get the new Tory Burch boots that I purchased for the winter.
On one occasion I made an offer and the seller accepted; about 30min later the seller reneged on the agreement! I filed a complaint siting a deal/agreement is a commitment with Tradsey but they sided the seller, offering me no recourse. Terrible customer experience. I'm now leary to make counter-offers.
I purchased what I thought was a Maidstone Burberry without researching because Tradesy advertises that they authenticate. The next day I saw a real Maidstone at Bloomingdales and it was quite different. It had a check lining and the bag I bought had a black lining. It also had the house check on the exterior and the bag I purchased had haymarket check. At this point I thought I better do some research. I found the bag on several websites like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and even Amazon. They were all like the bag I saw at Bloomingdales. None of them were like the bag I purchased on Tradesy so I emailed customer service and explained the situation. They responded back and said I have 4 days after I receive the bag to file a misrepresentation claim. Then they will check the authenticity. If they find its authentic, I can get a Tradesy credit and if they find its fake, they will return my money. Of course they decided that it was real so they told me I can keep the bag or take a credit on Tradesy. I thought to myself, why would I want a credit on a website that sells fake bags for in excess of $400. Please get the word out that they sell fakes. I think they also have real bags because I saw several real Maidstones on their site. I think the problem is that they do not authenticate so you are on your own. If you research before you buy, you may be okay.
Former seller here. I sold 20 items under $100 over two years. Where do I start? 1.) They have the WORST search engine anyplace. Check it out. If you enter "Blue Dior Earrings" you will get everything for all those words. Blue. Plus Dior. Plus earrings. Thousands of things. Plus they'll add more because you might want "red Chanel earrings" or whatever. This isn't horrible until you realize that anybody searching for what you're trying to sell can't find it either. 2.) I repeatedly had my store frozen and unavailable during prime sales periods -- they told me it was a software glitch but it tended to happen only on holidays so that was weird. This benefitted the larger sellers, of course. 3.) With very little notice -- like one email? -- they doubled their fees just before Christmas; 4.) After waiting a month for a cash reimbursement, they didn't include one of the sales I'd made. 5.) After not including the sale, they charged me TWO reimbursment fees instead of one (I'm still waiting to hear back from them on this. Hmmmm. Wonder if they'll send the email today.); 6.) Charged me $10 for a USPS mailing label. When I mailed it myself using my own money they said they couldn't refund me for the USPS label. The USPS doesn't charge for unused labels. There's no reason Tradesy can't refund this money. --- Anyway, this is a very sleazy company and they treat their sellers badly. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Even when a seller lists an item correctly and a buyer returns the item, Tradesy finds any little thing wrong with it, returns the item to the seller and says it was misrepresented. They do not protect the seller. Find another place to sell your clothes, shoes and purses!
I have used Tradesy to sell gently used items for the past few years. The items that I sold tended to be typical mall brands. They implemented new policies no longer allowing you to sell items under $10 and upping their commision on any item under $50 to be $7.50. Allowing you to keep your previously listed items under $10 posted without the $7.50. They raised their commision again, and at that time made it to were if you viewed or edited your $10 and under postings the $7.50 would be taken out. On some items this would end up, if the item sold, you would essentially owe Tradesy money. They have tried to push out good sellers, but ones that did not exclusively sell super pricey items. It is unfortunate as it is one of the easiest selling platforms to navigate. I guess the good platforms are reserved for the lucky ones that can afford the high end items.
I placed an order for a pair of designer sneakers. I paid for express shipping with the seller. She shipped the item and when it arrived, no shoes were included!
I contacted Tradesy via email immediately and included photos of what I received. 3 days later I received a reply stating they would need to contact the USPS and file a claim. The response would take 7-10 business days for the USPS to get back with them. I waited 15 days and then contacted Tradesy again, via phone. Their phones hours are extremely limited in my opinion. The rep on the phone told me they were waiting on USPS to respond. Tradesy wanted to know the weight of the package.
I then went to my local post office, got the weight in writing and sent to tradesy. I then had to sign an affidavit with Tradesy. No problem. Signed affidavit and sent back. I called the next day to follow up! I was then told they would not be refunding me because the USPS confirmed delivery.
I was not going down without a fight because I paid $700 for an empty box. I explained my situation to the rep and was placed on hold. When he came back on the phone he said my money had been refunded.
The issues I had was the compliant was filed the same day of delivery. The site alleges a seller doesn't receive payment until after 4 days to ensure no issues, that's not true. In my situation the seller was paid! Also I sent everything in attempts to prove my case but literally had to folllow up with them everyday! Don't expect a callback if you have an issue with this site.
Felt safe getting what I wanted from this seller. Will probably buy again. Also product came to me much faster than I thought it would
Love buying luxury items that are currently sold for much more at retail shops and Tradesy makes it possible using Affirm if u need to spread out the payments!
The formula is very easy. Put your store on vacation and inflate all of your prices by 10% and opt in to discount all your listings by 5% to draw buyers to your listings. And of course, sell on multiple websites. If your sales on Tragedy drop, don't sweat the small stuff.
My experience with tradesy has been professional and good, I will continue to buy from tradesy. The products are authentic with many more years of use.
This is my third purchase from Tradesy and it did not disappoint. It's a beautiful bag and I know my daughter-in-law will love it! I've also thoroughly enjoyed the bags I've purchased.
I hope all of the long term sellers (like myself) leave this site or drive up their prices that will turn buyers AWAY... Another RIDICULOUS fee hike that for me, is the last straw!
Too many options these days to pay their nearly 25% nonsense! Stupid move!
I was satisfied with my first purchase from this distributor and the added touch or gratitude with a Thank You Card for my purchase was the icing on the cake.
No Thank You!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
