If I could give a -5,000 I would because this is a terrible terrible place for sellers. The buyer is given all the glory, they can wear your items, destroy your items and return to tradesy for a full refund. If you make a sale, it takes 35 days to get your money. Then if you want to transfer your money to your bank, they will take another wopping transfer fee and it takes another 3 weeks to get funds to your bank. All over the USA it only takes a day to electronically transfer funds, no reason at all why they hold your money that long for weeks. I have emailed them 3 times asking for my money, I get emails back saying they are a very small company and working on getting payouts quicker to sellers. Why do you hold on to it in the first place, if a buyer is given 4 days to inspect your item and like it, on the 5th day the seller should be paid, no excuses. Buyers can even return items outside of tradesys 4 day window. Its crazy how they dont want to pay sellers. I have pulled my few items off their site, its just terrible. Just don't do it, don't sell here, you will be very sorry with all the returns and if you are fortunate to make a sell, you will never get paid.

I have been a seller on this site for a couple years and am very disappointed in the way this company is run. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to receive your profit after the buyer receives the item (weeks). They also allow a buyer to return items up to a couple weeks which is ridiculous. I would not recommend this site to anyone (buyers or sellers).

Tradesy Sells All Fakes!
November 7, 2019

I purchased something on Tradesy and it was not authentic. I took it to Neiman Marcus to authentic and they laughed at me. I gave it a second chance and same thing happened. Not authentic! This happened with Tory Burch, Gucci and Valentino. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND Tradesy. Plus they are rude and it is a major hassle to get your money back as they only give store credit. Ebay is the way to go. You are protected 100% and hassle free returns always! I've always gotten authentic products from Ebay!

I have been selling on Tradesy for years and it has steadily gotten worse! They take far too much of your sale profits and hold your funds for 2 months, in the meantime there is a stranger out there walking around with your designer item that you have never been paid on!
Poshmark is the way to go, you get paid within a few days of your item being delivered and if the buyer returns the item it must be within 3 days!
I hate Tradesy's customer service, they have been taught to lie and tell you anything to get you off the phone!
DO NOT USE THEM, it's a scam!

I have been a loyal seller from the very beginning. I just sold a brand new designer blazer and the buyer returned to Tradesy, due to size being too small. The blazer is brand new with tags. Just got an email from Tradesy stating they are returning due to"can't determine market price" which is BS! This item is at Saks Fiftth Ave and it has the retail tags on it with the price! Tracy the owner of Tradesy is such a liar and fraud!

I have contacted Tradesy several times to request my payment that in Tradesy's own words "was due on or before August 16". Every time I contact them asking for an explanation they say that my payment has been expedited... Well, that's a LIE!
I'm done with this company... they have treated me this on the past 4 items I've sold. I don't mind waiting a little bit for my payments, but I don't like being lied to. Tradey: Do not give out payment dates when they're WEEKS OFF! I would NOT recommend anyone selling with them. They also over-charge the buyers for shipping. Boarder-line scam!

Absolutely distrustful and awful company. I sold two pairs of shoes and a handbag- non of which were luxury items. They told me it would be 21 days before they would release my money. I then asked to have it transferred and it never happened. It's been a month- I filed two complaints non of which were handled appropriately. I am now out $120. Horrible! I only use Poshmark.

I've been a seller on Tradesy for years now, I noticed they recently have been refunding my sales and sending my items back, saying it was sold above Fair Market Price. Where Tradesy "can only accept returned items for which we can validate that the selling price is at or below Fair Market Price"... which is completely unfair. My item was sold below retail and now they want to reverse my funds and send back my item after I had to wait more than 21 days for it to get transferred to my bank. Also, they have even returned my items damaged and missing pieces! Completely unacceptable. I've also had my funds say they went through on Tradesy but checked my bank account and no money was ever transferred. I called my bank and they had no trace of such funds from Tradesy. I called Tradesy customer service and they gave me the run around and couldn't locate my funds. After a month and contacting Tradesy four times, the funds finally appeared out of no where, over two months after the intial sale date. Remember to check to see if your money actually gets transferred! If this went unnoticed I would be out nearly $500. Tradesy will rip you off. This company is going under soon, it is incredibly mismanaged. Do not sell on Tradesy!

To buy: they advertise 100% money back guaranteed and return any time however they return your money instead they only give credit and worst the item return to seller but they keep the money so they make money from buyer giving credit and pity to seller.

Seller- they accept return for any reason if described in listing. They use to keep the return but no more. They make money in this way.

DO NOT SHOP AT TRADESY! SHOP Poshmark and Mercari! Better price and fair to buyer and seller.

Their fees are the highest of any selling site (making it bad for both sellers and buyers). Their excuse for the high fees is that they take your returns back. Lies their team will say "can not determine fair market value" for everything and return it back to you. You can not talk to the returns team on the phone and they cant even how they determine "fair market value" via email. They give buyers 10 days to return items for any reason and sellers end up waiting AT LEAST A MONTH for payment and will be charged a 3% fee to cash out instead of just using it as store credit. This site use to be great. It is horrible and hey have to respect for the people that helped the company grow. SAY AWAY!

WORST TEAM EVER for customer service.
Tradesy "TRUST TEAM" is a total joke.
Opened up account and was closed within a week. I had spent many hours taking photographs and using their guidelines to list my designer items. All of a sudden, account was suspended, no reason given no warnings, and all while I was having emails with potential buyers and making deals. The worst waste of my life. I sent them an email (trust team has no phone number - - shady for a multi million dollar business that is legit. Nek**l responds and says its closed for "unidentified information" ok...? And then he/she ends with "Thank you for your understanding". Based on this email, I have understood only one thing is that the trust team is illogical! The worst customer service in HISTORY of online selling.

If I could give negative stars, I would! I have been an online seller for over 20 YEARS I have NEVER dealt with the amount of ridiculousness I dealt with as a seller on Tradesy. They can hold your payment for as long as 6 WEEKS, then charge you to release your funds -which can take another 7 business days. Buyers can complain for a full month after using your item & return it in terrible condition, Tradesy will side with the buyer every time. I got where I was writing 1000 word listings to cover my item more than any retailer EVER would, just to try & scale down returns. It did not matter. After 6yrs of selling & major changes in their payment policies, I finally had enough! Sell on Poshmark *Who treat their sellers fairly* or Ebay *who pay immediately* but stay FAR away from Tradesy. I really don't see them being in business much longer, they constantly smack the hand that feeds them! Horrible business tactics!

Charges the highest sales commission of any online clothing site PLUS an additional 3% if you want your funds in cash. Your sales proceeds are then hoarded for an another 7-10 days for reasons unknown to Tradesy employees because the payments are processed by a Stripe, a third party payment processor. SELL ELSEWHERE

Over a month to have your money transferred to your bank or paypal in the top of that, they charge a wiping fee of 2.9% for those very slow transactions, who knows why? They may be gaining interest on that money on their bank account.
As you can see on the sample picture, they took over $140 and also the money was available to me over 30 days after delivered.
I can't wait to see they ended on a big demand

I started on Tradesy when sellers only paid 9% commission, now we give up 23%! In addition, they just started accepting any return from a buyer for ANY REASON! When they buyer is refunded the SELLER LOSES the money in shipping they paid for. I just had two special occasion dresses returned to me after being worn and I paid for the shipping!

I've been selling on Tradesy for some time now. And I completely agree with other reviews that Tradesy's new return policy is horrible.
But what pisses me off the most is that they favor the PRO sellers.
First, I pay a commission on Tradesy of 23%, whereas PRO sellers pay around 9%. So on a $500 item that I sell I pay a commission of $115, and a PRO seller just $45.
Second, they push listing of PRO sellers to the top of search results.
But what pisses me the most is the fact that despite PRO sellers already paying a lower commission fee, Tradesy handles their returns and resist returned items in Tradesy closets. Also I had several returns from Tradesy due to a RIDICULOUS above fair marker policy and non of the items were returned to me in the same condition. All of the items were damaged or missing authentic docs for handbags, and once a brand new gucci dust bag was ripped.

So in my opinion this is UNACCEPTABLE. Tradesy treats their regular sellers who most of the time are buyers as well SO POORLY. I truly believe if Tradesy doesn't change their return policy, they will run out of regular sellers and buyers (except for PRO SELLERS).

WARNING: DON'T SELL ON TRADESY

Tradesy used to be a good platform for sellers, the major reason being that they handled returns (as long as the item was listed accurately). However, a new policy has changed this, and they will return the item to you for any reason, even if the item was listed accurately. The reason that they will cite is that the item was sold "above fair market value," which they don't even specify. Clearly this is a way for Tradesy to avoid reselling the item and dealing with inventory.

Unless you want to waste your time shipping items that will only be refunded when buyers return them, do not sell on Tradesy
---------------------------------------------
Dear Tradesy,

As a seller, I am tremendously disappointed to hear that you are returning my item---the item was listed accurately and the buyer chose to purchase the item, which should be adequate demonstration of "fair market value." You did not even state what you consider "fair market value" for the item, which points to a complete lack of transparency regarding your return policy for sellers.

I have been a seller on Tradesy for the past several years. The main reason that I was a seller on Tradesy was because of your prior return policy for sellers of accepting returns, as long as the item was accurately listed. Clearly this is no longer the case and Tradesy has decided not to handle any seller returns, using the "fair market value" reason as an excuse.

I will be pulling all of my listings off Tradesy and will not sell or buy on your website anymore.
