I purchased a nice coach handbag. Normally, I go to the store, but I attempted an on-line purchase. I have had Coach bags for years with quality that have looked as good as when I bought them. It had this bag for 6 months and the leather on the handles began shredding. It's clearly not good material or workmanship and hence a fake. I send 30 photos going back and forth with them for a month and they refused to provide a refund. If you want quality, go to the actual maker and not Tradesy! They should be pulled off the market for claiming an authenticity and not honoring guarantees.

THEY'VE CHANGED!
March 20, 2020

I don't recognize this new-age Tradesy! A whole different online store experience then I originally started dealing with in 2010. Just like others; as soon as the company grows, their thirst changes. No more I ordered a product on February 28 and as of today March 20, I have not received. Instead of sympathizing with my situation and trying to resolve, the Rep went on about what a wonderful seller the Japan-based seller is for their company... as if that individual was immune to the rules. In fact, Tradsey never discloses to the buyers that the rules are different for international transactions. Their service is the worse. I found Fashionphile! When this fiasco is resolved and I get my money or my product... deuces... I'm out! No more Tradsey

I love this site. I've never had a problem with any purchase. My wife and I both shop on the site. I would recommend buying designer jewelry, it's a greay way to buy at a discount.

Tradesy charges 23.99% and their service is the worst for being this much! They are returning an item that I sold even though they agreed that it was accurate. They're saying that they can't obtain the fair market value. Ridiculous! Total waste of time and full of BS! This site also takes almost a month before they release your hard earned earnings! Soo crazy! Beware of this site! Hope it gets shut down! They are like thieves, so ridiculous l!

I can't believe how difficult it is to use this website to sell an item. NOTHING is done automatically, the seller has to go around doing so much work that I don't know why they can charge such a big sell fee. The site places an automatic sale without the seller's knowledge, then I had to take additional 12 photos AFTER an item was sold, figure out shipping (otherwise it would be very expensive), and wait 21 day to be paid.
Absolutely the last time I will use this website. STAY AWAY SELLERS

Unfair Retrun Policy
February 27, 2020

So here's the problem with Tradesy. They used to have a fair, if unusual, return policy, where a buyer could return an item to Tradesy for any reason. Tradesy would resell the item themselves and release the seller's payment. Everyone was happy with that, but I guess Tradesy wasn't making enough money reselling these returns. Now, they haven't told anyone that they changed the return policy, but they did. They still allow absolutely anything to be returned for any reason, in any condition, within thirty days of sale. But they're sending everything back to the seller, and even charging the seller for shipping. Basically sellers are paying shipping and having their items damaged, just to allow cheap people to rent designer clothes for free. Tradesy will tell you that they 'couldn't determine market value'. Their way of saying that they didn't believe they could make more money off it than you originally sold it for. Tradesy, if you can't put your money where your mouth is, then just get a normal return policy. We're sick of all the returns and ready to jump ship.

Very DISAPPOINTED!
February 11, 2020

Terrible service! Very DISAPPOINTED! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Tradesy suspended my seller's account after I changed my account's address to Brooklyn. This looks like DISCRIMINATION to me. They did not provide me with any explanation. Trust team (Brandon H.) ignores my messages and does not reply. When you call customer support, they tell they can not help you. When I sent message to Tradesy on FB, I was told that somebody will get in touch with me within 2 days, however, that NEVER HAPPENED. I sell original items and wanted to solve this problem, but instead I'm just being IGNORED.

Not sure what happened but tradsey is the WORST app! Their service is so poor now. I used to use tradsey to sell items and they would sell quickly and in a few days I'd have my money but now tradsey decides to hold your money 21 days AFTER THR BUY HAS ALREADY RECIEVED THE ITEM and then if you want to transfer it to your account it takes even longer. When you reach out to customer service there is no empathy no support. They charged a large fee too sell the item which they take immediately but make you wait over a month for your funds it's not worth it at all. I'm completely disappointed as a customer and will never use the site again. Poshmark is better, eBay, everything but tradsey! Stay away!

I've sold on Tradesy for almost 3 years to get rid of luxury purses I no longer used from my private collection. At first it was wonderful. I got paid after 4 days (none of this wait 20-30 day BS), the commission wasn't insanely high, and the customer service was great. Plus I liked that I didn't have to worry about returns, although no one returned the stuff that I sold; I had buyers tell me that they loved the items and thought I was overly critical with the condition. Unfortunately Tradesy took a turn for the worse after they started losing money from returns due to high volume sellers who would overstate the actual condition of their products; I know because they're the exact same sellers I'd buy from on eBay. As a result, Tradesy was forced to raise their commission rates and hold private sellers' money hostage for several weeks/months at a time in order to gain interest. Oh, and as far as their original policy that sellers didn't have to deal with returns? Completely gone now. Customer Service reps are now forced to lie to sellers about where their money is. Meanwhile the big sellers (the ones who screwed over private sellers and Tradesy) don't have the same issues; they still enjoy the original commission and don't have to wait weeks to get paid out.

Tradesy closed my account but frankly I don't care. Poshmark and Vestiaire Collective aren't perfect either but at least they don't hold sellers' money hostage and their commission rates haven't changed significantly. With the amount Tradesy is charging and the possibility of being forced to accept returns, private sellers are better off selling on eBay (which has the lowest selling fees) or straight up do consignment.

Awful site, I don't recommend them to anyone.

Refund Issue
January 17, 2020

I had purchased an item from seller Abbey R (who I later found out isnt a real user-just a tradesy owned in-house seller) who sold me a fake item. I know it is fake because I had the serial code entered at a Cartier boutique and the inscriptions did not match the item. Tradesy says there are no returns outside of the US, even if I was sold a fake. Tradesy says they have a 100% authentic policy (a lie) and they will refund if you receive an inauthentic item (another lie). Since the seller is Tradesy owned, TRADESY KNEW THE ITEM WAS FAKE AND STILL SOLD IT TO ME, AND HAVE MADE IT HARD FOR ME TO RETURN AND GET MONEY BACK! THEY WILLINGLY SOLD A FAKE! AVOID THEM PLEASE! They use influencers by sending them real products, and everything else on that website for purchase is fake, not even authenticated!

Tradesy.com sells fakes and then doesn't follow up when notified that sellers are selling fakes. Way too much hassle. Tradesy.com guarantee of "authenticity" is absurd. Can't have a guarantee when they don't enforce it. Will never buy from Tradesy.com again. Total scam.

Not recommended for high end luxury selling due to the fact that they changed their release of funds so not only do they take close to 20% commissions now it's 21 days clear of delivery to receive your funds in your Tradesy account and an ADDITIONAL 21 days if you dare withdraw funds to Paypal or your bank account!

Mind you they have a 4 day window on return so they're holding funds up to 42 days oh and did I mention that they charge a transfer fee of 2.9% so it's actually 23% commissions to sell on Tradesy stay away!

Selling
December 9, 2019

What a nasty, greedy agent this Tradesy is, which does absolutely nothing for the money! They make me to pack and ship and all my items carefully described as this miserable Tradesy also keep telling me the same thing, everything described very good and no mistakes on my description. But their demeaning returns go viral! I received used leather goods accessories with the lipstick and perfume smell in them! What a greedy, miserable agent TRadesy is! Like everything worse, greedy and stupid in this country became popular and likable same with this Tradesy - agency! They only milken money providing nothing for the sellers but to destroy their stuff! I have returns of 5-6 times of the same items!

DO NOT sell there
November 21, 2019

If you think it might be a good idea to sell stuff there, reconsider.
It used to be great. I reliably sold around 30-40 items a month.
Then they changed things. Fees were raised. They now charge outrageous 20% + transfer fee. Even this would be ok with me if they stood by the seller, which brings me to my next point.
Buyers can now return ANYTHING to you for any reason. It used to be that Tradesy resold returns itself. Now they send it back to you and you do not get refunded original shipping money. It also takes them like a month to do the whole process. Out of 5 latest sales, 2 are returned, because they are "priced below returns threshold" (which is very high). Buyer can also wear and destroy your item, then come crying to Tradesy saying it was sent this way, and Tradesy happily sends you trashed item back.
It takes forever to get paid. At least a month after the sale date.
So tell me, ladies, why on Earth would you even to sell there? Go to Poshmark - fees are flat 20% and they actually stick to their no-returns policy.
I just deleted all my 500 listings on Tradesy (as about a dozen other people on my reseller message board did before). I am sure with this "new and improved" return policy Tradesy is bleeding sellers left and right, and will be defunct very soon. Good riddance it will be.
