I bought the executive package which included cover letter, resume, Linkedin profile and posting service that sent my resume to close to a hundred different sites. It was pricey, but well worth it. My reviewer worked closely with me over the course of a week. She was willing to work around my schedule and always replied to my revisions in a timely manner. The revisions kept me involved in the process and I felt it was very collaborative. In short she was awesome. I've worked with other resume companies before, but this is the first time I am happy with the level of work.

My only regret is not getting this service sooner. I would highly recommend! Just be prepared to make use of the revisions (if you purchase additional revisions). That's what makes TopResume better.

I submitted a resume that was well-written but was concerned that it didn't get more responses. I paid $249 for the top of the line service. What I got back within 24 hours was a piece of garbage. Literally. Mispellings, grammar errors, things that read like gobbly-gook.It is was apparent that this "service" is a computer that takes your resume and for $249 rearranges it with some modifications that make it clear it is untouched by a human - or even proof-read. STAY AWAY! Or hire them to ensure unemployment.

This was a very easy and amazing experience for me. Gina took my old, outdated resume and made it the executive resume that I needed. The cover letter and thank you notes were also very well written. I highly recommend this service.

Barri went above and beyond in transforming my resume into an effective, polished marketing tool. My initial concerns were that I'm 50 years old and have many lapses in work experience over the years. Also, I have a new degree in my desired field, but not much experience in this new field. When I received my first draft, I could tell that she did her homework in researching my past experience as well as researching the job function I am targeting. She took my very complicated and disjointed old resume and made every section make sense in content and flow as well as make the entire document look very professional and inviting. I was also concerned that my advisor would not quite understand my job function, but because of the time she put into her research she was right on the money. After I was laid off as part of a reduction in force at my Oil & Gas employer, I decided on using Top Resume because

1) I received a good review from a friend (he received a call back on the first submittal of his new resume), and
2) because after researching similar companies - apples to apples comparison for service/ content packages including the company that I had for 30 days free through my former employer, TopResume was the top candidate in regards to services versus price.

I chose to do the top level package as I knew my LinkedIn page and cover letter needed a professional touch that it was not getting from me. I was matched up in less than 48 hours with my writer, Barri, and we got to work on the resume. We communicated several times a day through most of the process.

I knew that my resume was a slightly out of date, but as a hiring manager, I had not read any recent resumes that had given me any idea on how to update it. Barri immediately came back with suggestions on everything! I had a ton of questions relating to current resume trends that she patiently educated me in regards too. I was very pleased to have a interested and knowledgeable writer - I learned about her industry and she learned about Quality and O&G. She was very receptive to the corrections I requested and we had many discussions on the whats and whys of the suggested changes.

I started the process with Top Resume on 06 June 2016 and we finished it nine days later on 15 June. The LinkedIn rewrite, the resume, and the cover letter all look great. I couldn't be happier about the whole experience. I have already recommended this service to others.

After reading another review on another site, it didn't surprise me that the "critiques" (which was almost instantaneous) were practically identical. After 1week of paying my fee, all I received was an automated response. Following an email expressing my concern, I was offered a refund to cancel or a 25% discount. I accepted the discount, and was immediately "assigned" a writer. Three days later, a full two weeks after payment, I had still not been contacted by a writer at all, despite sending several emails to my "order####" email with additional information.

This is a very critical service they are offering at a pretty hefty price. Better communication is not that hard.

I asked for a refund and again, immediately received an agreeable response. Not sure where the ball was dropped, but it's time to spend my money with someone who WANTS my business.

I got the package where they write your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. I did the survey, but was told the person who they had picked to write my documents was not available, so I had to switch to someone else. I felt like the person did a good job and making the right changes, but did feel like my resume was a little cookie cutter. She did a good job of slimming it down, and I have gotten some interest with my new documents. I will definitely using the money back guarantee if I do not get any interviews since it is a lot of money to spend.
