I lost my resume when my computer was stolen and having someone re-write a new one from scratch was something well worth paying for in my book. The cover letter was great and an attention getter and the resume was good, but not great. I was expecting someone with a great deal of expertise in resume writing and understanding buzz words and insight into what hiring managers want to see. Though Kim was good, there was nothing that suggested she was an expert. In fact, the first few revisions had issues that even I as a notice resume writer picked up on. I have the feeling that had i just said "great thanks," she would've happily sent me on my way. All in all good experience and saved me a lot of time, but do some of your own research and don't expect an expert on the other end.

I used TopResume to update my long outdated resume. They were quick, easy and relatively inexpensive. In fact, it was well worth the money I spent. I've already shared the new resume with several hiring managers that I trust and they said it was much improved. Just be aware that you have to be ready and willing to assist your assigned writer. They can't read your mind and they don't know what you've accomplished so you must help them to help you.

They were great. From the moment I submitted my old resume to receive my first rough draft. I was attracting the wrong employers at first(all sales) but my writer revamped my resume to showcase my potential into the finance field. My writer took my feedback and communicated with me through the whole process. If you need help with getting your resume redone I would strongly recommend it and the turnaround time is fast. I contacted TopResume after a few months of hearing the crickets on my existing resume. Within 24 hours, I was assigned a writer who had a first draft ready for review. The visual appearance of the resume was stunning compared to my own version. It was well written and highlighted my past experience.

I only have a few issues with the final product: despite telling the author that my name was misspelled, it was never corrected (an easy fix, though). Also, after sending the resume to a former professor for a final review before posting to jobs sites, the professor didn't think that it "screamed" my new profession like it should. There was too much emphasis on my former profession.

I actually had reservations about using Top Resume because it was an online company and not a face to face type of setting. I was pleasantly surprised, it took only about a week for my resume to be completely done with a couple of revisions. The only thing is the resume that I sent did not separate tasks with specific jobs so my first couple of revisions came back with tasks under wrong job titles. Once I resent the information with more detail, my writer quickly caught on and revised and now it's in a good place. I was looking for a more professional polished resume. My old one was just boring and didn't stand out. I really love the format that was chosen for my new one and I have to say that after sending it out for one week, I got 2 interviews and a job offer. I received great customer service from my writer and my drafts were sent to me in a timely manner. I had my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn account redone and I was very impressed with the work my writer did! Skeptical at First But It was a Wise Investment

Hello my name is TKElectric75. I am a nerd by design, and very passionate about what i do. So it was very difficult for me to come to terms that I would have pay for someone to write a resume. I am entering into the corporate world so now i have be sorta pg and have to use words that they understand... They were able to work with the information I provided. And when I was not satisfied with the results they escalated it to the next level... it took abit more time because I had become frustrated until i realized... that the reason they were asking more of me was because they were really taking this serious... and i love the way you do not actually speak voice to voice with the writer... it helps because you have to expound on what you are trying to convey in your data sheet... I was wary after reading that everyone basically gets the same free feedback (which did turn out to be true), but then once my resume was turned over to the person who specialized in my area I could tell I was in great hands. I am very happy with the way my resume turned out! The cover letter is standard, but I was just too lazy to write one myself. Very responsive and helpful - I'm already reaping the benefits of a better resume!
