My experience with TopResume has been pretty negative so far. I've used a couple of different Resume sites over the years, and TopResume has been the worst. I paid for the "Executive package", so I expected better service than what I received. The questions they ask you at the beginning of the process are pretty generic and don't ask you for any specific details about your job, which is essential for a strong resume. Furthermore, when I tried to provide the writer with additional details, the writer was highly unresponsive, which again for $400 I expect better. After waiting for a very long time with hardly any response, I contacted customer service to request a new writer. I was then met with more unprofessionalism from the customer care unit. At this point, I just requested a refund, and they advised me that they will be charging me a $100 cancellation fee. I didn't even get a resume and they are charging me $100 for nothing basically. For those of you that are looking for better service, I would recommend ResumesCanada and Find My Profession. They may be a little bit pricey but at least they actually do their job.

What can I say other than the resume I received was laughed at by a number of reviewers and two recruiters told me that it looked dated, convoluted and hifalutin. I was told by a number of people that it was unprofessional looking and hard to read. Stay away from TopResume. They are a group of people out to make money on those that really need help. I felt like I was getting kicked off a lifeboat. When I had a problem, it took them over a week to decide if they could help and ultimately they said we can't give you any type of refund, but we will re-write the resume for you. Really?! Stay away from TopResume. They should be called BottomResume.

Had a resume sent to this so-called "resume writing service" and paid the initial $150 fee to have my resume updated. Received what was supposed to be an updated version riddled with spelling errors, typos, and a format looking like an elementary school student produced. Very shoddy work! Opened a BBB complaint against them, but somehow TopResume.com slimed/slithered their way out of it. Do not utilize these people! They are a fraud. Considering contacting the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General.

Just like the title says, a complete scam. Please don't trust those 5 star reviews. The writer just copied and pasted another CV which was still riddled with grammatical errors. I complained and they said they weren't going to give me a refund. I then told them I had a few friends who worked a few blocks away from them in a law firm in NYC and were more than happy to take down this sham of a company and suddenly I got my money back.
