The experience was very easy on my end. All I had to do was submit my current resume that I had made myself and answer a few questions. Less than a week later I had a resume that was put together far better than the one that I did. It also explained my work experience with better detail and more professionalism too. I have applied to several jobs since using my new resume and today I received an email saying that I have made it to the next step in the application process!

I ordered Executive Priority Resume Writing Package $314, which said a top 10% writer would help me. That writer called Amber also emailed me she would respond within 24hr-48hr.

1. No feedback, Only first draft: Amber sent me the first draft and then told me she would close my order within 9 days. Then she disappeared and respond to me on the last day!

2. No change between the three versions of my resume and CV: I asked for help from their support team to extend my deadline. But Amber again didn't change anything! She copied a sentence that I wrote in both the job description part and the key assignment part! I asked her if it's not professional to copy the same sentence in two parts. Then she deletes the copy part and resent to me as the final resume!

3. After she sent the thrid resume, she told me its the final one! But Top Resume told me there's no limitation of editing the files! Also, she didn't really help me improve it but just delete the copies from what I wrote.

4. Linkedin service: the package includes a LinkedIn service. Again the writer sent me 30 pages of handbook and then closed the order! That handbook deserves more than a hundred dollars!

5. The package includes a 60-day interview service! But no one reaches me after they close my order!

6. I ask a part of my money back because I didn't receive any Lindin and interview service. The support team told me since the writer sent me the Linkin handbook. The writer already helped me! No money back!

I had a Good Experience of resume proofreading and getting an honest feedback

I came back to Top Resume having had great experiences in the past. This one, however, will be my last. Trying to communicate and be on the same page with my writer was really frustrating. I came away with an overall sense that she just didn't care. Even after agreeing to a written deadline, they moved it up two days and closed my case without my approval of the final draft. I called customer service and asked for a new writer and 24 hours to finish changes, but they would not accommodate. I am now forced to dispute charges for an incomplete resume on my credit card if I want resolution. Save yourself time, money, and disappointment in the final product. Use someone you can actually meet with over the phone at least once. Top Resume uses email only and if you get a writer who is not a great communicator, your chances of having a good final product or overall experience are slim.

They barely even tell you what is going on. They don't even ask you any questions outside of sending them your resume and a couple of questions. They say its a very collaborative process, but it is not. They don't really respond to emails. Also, it took them forever to assign me a writer. I had to complain before they gave me one. I asked for a refund prior to them starting to write my resume, but they said all sales are final. I would never use this service again. Don't bother wasting your time unless you think some guy throwing your resume together in 30 minutes on a Sunday night is worth 200 dollars

I wish I'd read these reviews before I paid TopResume. I did NOT get an original re-write of either my cover letter or resume. They refused my refund request, saying someone was already working on my resume. That same day, I got a message from writer saying he'd just got the assignment. The first draft was unacceptable.The cover letter was what you can find on any resume advice website. I also specifically asked for the documents to NOT date me in age. The writer ignored that and actually added my years of experience! He used terms that are NOT used in my field. He also just took my original resume and cover letter, reordered them, added a couple important sounding words, and re-formatted. They also sent me more than one auto-generated email to "check in", which the writer admitted. I now wonder if they just sent my original resume & cover letter through some software to get a different version. Honestly You can do better yourself.
