I saw good reviews of Top Resume so I decided to go for it, but my experience with Top Resume is a disaster. I was paired with a writer who first and foremost does not have a grasp of the English Language. I spent 4 hours going thru the draft - correcting grammar, punctuation, run on sentences and language that was re-written in such a way that it did not accurately describe what I did in my roles. I am not convinced that my writer understands my field and thus not generating language that will make it past the robot scans. The format looks like someone just out of school with an MBA vs something geared to am executive in a creative field. I have asked several times for more dynamic formats, but think Top Resume does not have appropriate formats. I will never use this service again and will NEVER recommend to anyone! For the record, I sent the draft to a few colleagues to get comments and each one of them said that they would only read to the first job descriptions and toss the resume. It was truly atrocious!

Someone from customer service contacted me to assign a new writer, but customer service has not responded in 2 day! SCAM if you are looking for quality!

If you do try this service and assigned Umair S. RUN! Find a different writer. It's a mess!

This was a complete waste of money for a service that is being performed by what seems to be robots, or elementary school kids. I cannot tell you with enough sincerity the degree of an idiot I feel like after participating in the TopResume Scam.
I just hope the money I have donated to their elementary school will be used wisely!

PS- do NOT use this service. I'm betting that TopResume high reviews were created by TopResume, not actual customers.
There is nooo WAY that the product I got is in any way shape or form, related to ANY positive reviews here, unless of course original resumes were grade schoolers applying for lemonade stand jobs.
THEN I could see "Top" resume being helpful.

Other than that you are flushing your money down the commode.

DO NOT USE Top Resume. They will take your money, even if they do not provide any services.

Tldr; Accidentally ordered service while explaining their services to a friend, contacted Top Resume immediately to cancel, they charged me a $75 cancellation fee and still haven't refunded my money, 2 weeks later.

I actually liked the work Top Resume did for me when I had used them in the past. They did a pretty good job with my resume and I wanted to show a colleague of mine how it worked.

On Oct. 10,2020, as I was explaining their services, I accidentally submitted an order. No big deal, right?

WRONG.

I contacted Top Resume immediately via *******@topresume.com to explain the situation that the order was accidental and to cancel and refund my money. I figured that was sufficient and went about my day.

On October 15th, they send me an email asking if I'd rather place my order on hold for a future date, or transfer the services to another person.

I declined and asked for the order to be cancelled and a refund issued.

Top Resume responds stating that I will be charged a $75 cancellation/processing fee.

WHAT?! YOU HAVEN'T PROCESSED ANYTHING! I CONTACTED YOU IMMEDIATELY TO TELL YOU IT WAS AN ACCIDENTAL ORDER!

I respond stating that it is unacceptable to charge me a $75 fee for cancelling an accidental order when I was actually trying to bring them business.

They reply with, and I quote:

Thank you for your email.

The cancellation fee is in place due to processing the order, sending the questionnaire.

Feel free to contact us for any further questions.

WHAT?! You're going to charge me $75 to "PROCESS" an order for a service that never took place and the sending of a questionnaire?!

Well, needless to say, that is absolutely horrible business practice and shows the level of care that they have for their customers.

They care more about a $75 cancellation fee than they do about making someone happy that just might bring them more business.

They closed my order today without me approving the final files. Overall I am not happy with the whole experience and I wish I had hired someone on Fiverr or Upwork to do this for me. While placing this order I didn't notice I only have 8 days to finish this project. Usually, depending on the package you purchase you have a set number of revisions in similar services. Things got very busy this week at work for me and I wanted to have my brother's input on my resume as well. When I asked for more time from Top Resume they told me I have to pay more. It has only been a week and I had only received 3 drafts. I don't believe I overused the service or took too long, I believe what they are charging is overrated for the service. The communications with my writer were very professional but unfortunately, I don't think they even looked at the job description I attached. They used very good vocabulary in the resume but sadly, I still have to hire a writer to help me finalize my resume.

First of all TOPRESUME is a ripoff. The money you pay up-front is 100% NOT REFUNDABLE. I paid extra for a linkedin review, a phone call with the resume writer and posting on top career sites, non of which were provided.
On top of that the resume writer copied and pasted my exiting resume ande added my accomplishments as a section. If thats what I wanted, I could have done the same and saved my self $349.00 The first resume writer refused to do more than 2 rewrites on my resume even though the terms and conditions clearly stated they would work on resume unit I was 100% satisfied. Second it took almost 2 weeks before the first writer even wrote my first update WITHOUT talking to me first. Then when she updated it a second time (with another week delay) with many mistakes, she stated that's all she would do. I contacted support it took three emails and 2 more weeks before the second writer responded. By that time I had landed the job I wanted. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. There are professional resume writers you can find on Linkedin for $200 who are committed to ensuring you have the correct resume.

I have to be honest this service is not what I expected. You have zero in site into my career path - none. Everything is very generic with very little originality. I have very little communication going days without any correspondence - then when I call customer service - I wait more days to here that my writer will "work on it this evening" then go days without any further contact.
I would like a refund. I might was well have done this my self. Will never work with your organization again. Please refund my money or failing that I'll contact my credit card company and place a stop payment on it. Very poor service. All sales and zero substance.

This has been a really bad experience. I had to work according to imposed schedule that was completely inconvenient to my busy schedule. The draft versions were not up to my expectations and I was not given enough time to discuss changes. I was also not given useful tips or recommendations to make sure the final version actually meets my objectives. The writer always seemed to be in a hurry, providing quick responses that seemed only to have one objective: Just get the order closed.

I have opted for the most expensive option but I did not have time or proper discussions required for cover letter, resume, or LinkedIn profile. I believe the time given should be convenient to the client not to the writer. The end result in my opinion is subpar and I would not recommend Topresume to anyone.

I WISH someone had told me not to go with this agency when i signed up for their $189 package. The person working on my resume took days to respond to a point where our revision period was already over. Further, everything wrote on my resume was misleading when i already gave the facts of my current situation. You could tell it was rushed and the person working on my CV and resume didn't even bother reading through the questionnaire that i answered. I have to do the whole thing all over again. Worst money i ever spent. Will never recommend them to anyone.
