The people who emailed me were very polite (if they were even people and not just completely automated). However, I'm not happy with the company's business model. The "feedback" given for free appears to be mostly generic automated nonsense that just exists to make you doubt the quality of your resume so that you'll buy their very overpriced resume writing services. I submitted several different resumes, one was my best resume (I used to be a part-time job coach), and one that was intentionally awful and completely different (messed up formatting, missing info, unreadable header fonts, misspelled words) and the feedback for all of them was mostly the same. I'm not even sure if the "ATS" results were real. Some of the ATS results seemed odd - referencing job skills that appeared no where in my resume (and no synonymous words either). Overall, these concerns made me question whether any of the "feedback" is accurate. Given that I used to do resume re-writes for clients, and understand the time involved, I think $179 for a resume re-write is ludicrous. Re-writing a resume should take maybe an hour or two. Even if every client took advantage of both opportunities for revisions, those each should take less than an hour. So we're looking at 4 hours MAX (but likely much less). That's $44.50 an hour. But more likely clients wont need all that time, so it could be $89 per hour or more. That's extremely overpriced.

If you are looking to have your resume done to optimize your job search, please avoid this company and take your time and research other more personal resume writing companies. This is a business more focused on scale and pumping out as many resumes as possible rather than taking time to craft truly personalized resumes that increase your visibility and showcase your professional talent. After 1 year of using the resume tailored by this firm, I received little to no hits on the jobs that I have been applying for. After showing my "redone" resume to my friend in HR, she told me that she would pass immediately on the resume because it made me seem like I was less experienced than I actually was. After an hour working with her, I updated my resume and started getting more hits from my applications. I know it's tough times now so please look for a service that will take the time to do this service right, and give you value for your money.

I am now on my 2nd writer- if that does not spell it out for you. My 1st writer had stuff on my CV that had zero to do with my profession. I then had to edit the mess out of it and he still failed to fix things. I called and complained and the customer service agent could clearly see that the writer was at fault. She set me up with a new writer and extended my time. The 1st writer was off to a great start but when I provided him with edits he failed to correct them. Also, both writers failed to spell check. I found myself basically doing all of the work. I complained again and they stated they would connect me with a Sr writer and upgrade my package free of charge. She also agreed that I was overly clear with my edit requests and agreed I was doing way too much work. After careful thought I just want a full refund. I feel there are other companies out there that can do at least an above avg job. I will say their customer service is great- they at least were warm and friendly and honestly tried to make things right. So A+++ for that. F-- for the writers

If you are looking to improve your chances of getting another job by sprucing up your resume, I HIGHLY advise you to stay away from Top Resume. They will charge you top dollar for very poor service. I am talking in the range of $349 to $699 dollars. I have attached pictures to document the appalling product I acquired with my purchase, and the pathetic service I received. The "expert" resume writer chosen to help me was a Robin. I responded to the email immediately requesting a refund, Robin responded stating the new resume she provided me was a "vast Improvement". The resume I received appeared to be an early 2004, basic plain Jane, over wordy mess of a document. By no means am I saying the resume I sent them was perfect... however, I would argue it is vastly better, have direct links to social media accounts, quick and concise information provided, and visually appealing with color and easy to read structure. For obvious reasons, I marked out person info (email account/twitter account/cell number), but you can view the picture documents I have attached and can see where I am coming from. If you feel what they provided me is adequate, and better than what you yourself could produce, then sure, shell out $400+ to these scam artists. If you need help, I would suggest searching Professoraustin.com. There are plenty of other websites, linden pages, and services you can find which would actually be able to help you. I have attached pictures also documenting a Jessica putting in a "request" for a refund. If you find yourself in my predicament, I have researched who you need to contact in order to have a chance of getting your money back.

Extremely disappointed with the service. All they did was copying and pasting my original resume in to a text format. No critical recommendations, no font corrections, no logical sequencing. The final draft provided by them even had repeated sentences. When companied about the poor deliverable they completely ignored my concerns and offered another service. Don't fall for this trap.
Answer: It depends, if you want to pay for a mediocre format riddled with errors that has the language equivalent of a high-schooler. You will end up paying $100 for something you could have sat down and done in an hour and a half.

Answer: Be careful with this company. They post 1000s of fake reviews to hide the real ones. Note that they do not post their phone number or address on the website. I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!
