Purchased the premium pack with a resume, cover letter and linkedin update on Dec 19,2020. Received a cover letter and resume that were clearly copy/pasted as they didn't make sense in the English language and I had to edit them myself. Was told I would receive a linkedin update by Dec 29th and have yet to hear back from the company. In perspective, I paid less to order a custom bobblehead and have received 8 emails in 4 days about the specifics of my doll. Don't use this service, go with the bobblehead.

My resume was given a complete make-over. It was improved in every way. I have many talents (just ask my resume!) but resume writing was not one of them. You really need to be able to toot your own horn to make a good resume and I find that very difficult. Having a writer ask me for specific information made it easier for me to answer and in turn them to write what they considered your strengths. I am proud of my resume now. I have been working on internalizing it peaks for my own sales pitch when I make it into the interview process. I did have one hick-up with the first writer for my resume. They became unavailable after a couple of days working on my resume. But before I knew of any trouble TopResume had informed me of the trouble and liked me with another writer who provided my resume by the deadline. I did not feel shuffled off onto someone. I felt she did a really good job and was very attentive to what I wanted. Definitely 5 stars.

My writer dismissed my concerns and wants when working on my resume. I told them my draft was too wordy, and the paragraphs that were written did not make sense. Paragraphs were just bullets point together. When I told him I wanted him to change it, he would write back about how he was right. I decided to accept the offer because I was just so fed up with going back and forth. I want someone else to take a look at my resume if possible. Please feel free to contact me if this is possible. This was the first time that I used this type of service so it was a learning experience for me. The good - My resume had an old design to it and TopResume was able to reformat it into current day using action words recruiters and employers are likely to key in on when searching/scanning/reading your resume. The service also took my resume, which was written in passive tense, and turned the language into action tense; "this is what I do, this is what I can do for you". Also, if you're not good at writing a cover letter the writer that was assigned to me wrote a great one that I can use for what ever position I apply for. The language in it reflected a lot of the action words used in my resume. The Ok - It was difficult to convey to the person writing my resume what "type" of position I was looking for and and what I wanted to convey in my resume to illustrate this. I also found myself editing some of the descriptive language in past positions and examples of key achievements in my career. I also used the service to help refine my LinkedIn profile. My writer provided me with a template for me to copy and paste into my profile which was essentially a duplication of my resume. I would recommend against using this service unless your are a novice at using LinkedIn. If you do decide to use the service really think about what it is you want and are looking for. The service requires you to answer questions for the writer to use to get started on your resume. Knowing exactly what it is you are looking for will make it easier to answer the questions and will give your writer and much better chance of developing a first draft for you both to begin working on.

Top Resume is a professional service provider to write and distribute resumes to meet today's recruiting processes. STAY AWAY especially for upper mid to senior level people. SHABBY service and work product!
The sales person was quite convincing but in the end after sub standard experience, she was insensitive and not helpful whatsoever. Process stinks with poor communication and total focus on TopResume edicts not the customer's needs. Resume factory with poor work product.

I had placed an initial order on 11/24, but after seeing the reviews -- that they do not hire professionals, they churn out misspelled and ungrammatical resumes -- I asked for a refund through their automated system.

Their chatbot gave me the option to cancel my order and you can see that I did on 11/24. They said it would take at least 3 days to get me the formatted resume so I didn't think it would be a problem.

Nope. They RUSHED me a garbage resume full of typos and grammatical errors and tried to tell me that they never got my request to order. They lied and said they did not offer refunds even though their chatbot has it as an option.

I emailed them proving when I made the refund request and that it was an option they gave me. They never replied once I caught them in this lie

It has saved me significant time to update and build my resume. Also, it gave me insights as to what is best and what is not to be included.
There is room for improvement of course as in any service or product. I believe that in my case, because of the type of industry I worked for, the matched or selected writer faced challenges which are understandable. TopResume should try to match writer with type of industry a bit better, whenever possible.
But Overall, good service and product.
