My God this site does a lot of charging money for things that aren't anything that even resembles pictures. Make sure you read entire description even if picture looks self explanatory. Another way for China to beat us over the head with their cheap junk. Can't get tracking numbers to see if stuff is even coming. They should disclose whether it's coming from China or US. Not even worth my effort to complain. Gonna have to see if going to the BBB helps. I doubt it.

Its fun to bid but some items are very cheap and some are what they say they are. Positive is that you can get great product for cheap. Negative is if it comes in damaged or not what you ordered based off what the description says or picture shows then they block you from bidding like it's our fault that it was damaged or not what there advertising. It's all about luck on if the product is good or not and by time you figure it out its too late they block you cause you done returned all the bad product. Top hatter garentees your satisfaction but wants to punish you for asking for your money back

If you have a problem with a purchase or feel you didn't receive what was described, a return request must be opened for each order that was not satisfactory.
With that said, Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller's address to return the item, paying for their own return postage with valid tracking number.

I thought this site would be fun and a wonderful way to get good quality products at inexpensive prices was right up my alley. I'm on a tight budget so when making purchases is a big deal for me. So imagine my disappointment when I start receiving my items and over half come poorly packaged, not working or falsely advertised. The only think I have gotten and been satisfied with is the CBD oils. The CBD oils are now the only thing I will purchase from this site. Saves me from being disappointed.

I have purchased many auctions now and I enjoy the process. Now that I have purchased, U have the following observations:
When you click on an item for more information, beware that you do not hit the bid button on accident. I did this and purchased a $40 coin that I did not really want!
The jewellery is pretty and very affordably priced, but the plating wears off within hours--leaving you with a green finger and a bit of disappointment.
I purchased a party tent for $30 and was thrilled but even though Fed Ex showed it as delivered, we didn't get it. Tophatter takes no responsibility for deliveries not received as long as they have tracking confirmation. We never have trouble with packages disappearing and we have daily deliveries, but we didn't get a tent. That made me sad.

I've ordered jewelry, clothing and a variety of household products over the past couple of years. I've never had to return anything and 100% of the products were on time and as described. Once I got used to the sizing being on the smallish side, I haven't had a single problem.

Top Hatter is a very good site but so far everything I have bid on is cheap abd a waste of money. Items look great in the pictures but arrive looking completely different

That sapphire ring I bought is garbage. The small amount of silver (which is not stamped) pales in comparison to the DEAD LOOKING stone. Not a glimmer or sparkle whatsoever I took photos of it under soft lighting, sunlight, regular light, it's ugly

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
