I am very happy in my dealing with Tophatter. I have kept every item. The sizes I ordered fit. I will continue to order other items.
Found this site randomly one night after a few drinks - it appeared to be a similar concept to ebay. It is NOT like ebay. A screen pops up with tons of items and a super quick countdown of how much time is left in the auction (generally only a few mins each) Everything looks like amazing deals - and its very fun to win an auction. Upon further use Ive come to see that even if you lose an auction the item you want will pop back up in another few minutes or so. The prices get driven up quickly so you never end up paying what you think you are going to. We bought a lot off of this site because it was super addictive - and ended up with a lot of things we dont use (why do I need a small light up teddy bear that you cant shut off without removing batteries?) I did make a purchase of 3 super cheap handheld video games with 260 games on each which are great for road trips. A hit or a miss site.
I have been disqualified from bidding twice for 24 hours due to excessive cancellations. I cancelled two items within a 12 hour period, for different acceptable reasons and got disqualified for 24 hours. This practice hurts Tophatter more than it hurts me. I was the leader on the leaderboard this week with 57 items purchased and you want to punish me from bidding for 24 hours. I think I'll boycott for another 24 hours. See how it feels. I'm disappointed in Tophatter!
As far as items for bid go, some are a quality product and some are cheap, raunchy, political, or dangerous items for auction. I wish I had a way to turn off items I am appalled or repulsed by.

I was enjoying Tophatter but it seems like a lot of their items are extremely small and cheaply made. I now am kick off bidding and have inquire several times no answer! I figure its because I have ask for a few refunds because I felt the items were not suitable-cheaply made

Love the fact that you can win stuff at a low price without paying to bid. Do not like that the seller can and does cancel the sell if they don't like the price you won it for. Not saying they always do just that I have had it happen and they are still allowed to sell that item after they do that to you. You are credited with "credits" to bid on other stuff when this happens instead of getting your money back which IMO kind of sucks. When you receive a item that is incomplete or you don't receive it at all but it says delivered you get to speak with a Tophatter employee instead of the seller. Things do not get taken care of this way. The buyer kind of ends up on the short end. They will send you a shipping label to send the item back. You then wait for a refund after the seller receives the item back. Have fun with that one. For the most part as long as you bid on less expensive items and or find a seller who has good reviews if you want to buy more costly items the site is a good one. I love it for my CBD purchases. The sellers of these items are awesome and have never done me wrong.

When a buyer is refunded without prior consent the seller is automatically penalized, so this won't go unnoticed. Some of the items are not what the picture shows, and some of the items you are selling are offensive to me there are really inappropriate for the shopping site.

Unhappy with many of the purchases. Bed sheet smaller than a towel. Ring with jagged edges. Most items were low quality not a great buy. It was fun bidding and I love one ring. Still haven't received l of my items.

I recently bought a lot of items 2 chains were fake not real 925. I got a bottle of white foundation it was broke and there was like nothing in it. The stone elephant is the size of a quarter!. The trump t-shirt was supposed to be a 3x was like a small. Only items that were ok was the dreamcatcher and lipstick and the tens wand. And the pyramids were the size of a pea I'm not sure if I will order anything else from tophater. Waste of money and they don't respond when you aren't happy with the items so that guarantee or your money back is a crock of bologna!

I like Tophatters process. Very easy except for this one process. Whilst paying, just after paying for a product you won a bid on, how can you get back to where you were": The only way I know how to get back is to click on the Tophatter emblem, then you get to start over, on a new auction board even.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
