Most of the things are nice and will be great gifts, the clothes however are way to small. I have to remember they are china or japan sizing so I'll have to order 2 size larger for things for myself or my husband.
Not one item I have gotten (or am waiting on) has arrived even close to the estimated delivery dates. Very annoying, they need to be more honest on the time frame so I can plan better for gifts and such.

I bought a ton of stuff from them. Several of the orders are either damaged or not as described. Im very unhappy. The tablet barely works and doesnt want to charge, the tablet case doesn't fit, the makeup is damaged.

I have ordered dozens of items from Tophatter knowing fully well that a lot of their product is of poor quality and if I am not satisfied I can return it at their expense.
But, lately when I tried to return an item, I was refused a return label and requested that i pay for return shipping back to China.
When questioned, I was told that i exceeded the ratio of returns to purchases.
The return cost for a consumer, especially to a place like China, is in many instance, several times the auction price, so you end up throwing away the item and swallowing the cost.
I have stopped using the site, as I believe they are fraudelent.

If you have a problem with a purchase or feel you didn't receive what was described, a return request must be opened for each order that was not satisfactory.
With that said, Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller's address to return the item, paying for their own return postage with valid tracking number.
On our platform, refunds or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns.
For internationally located buyers, we provide some store credit to offset the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. They sell counterfeit goods, plastic purses when you "won" a leather one, glass earrings when won ones with genuine stones, etc, then if you call them out on it, they say they don't sell counterfeit goods so you can return it to China for $200 in postage and if you give them the tracking number, once it arrives in China, the criminal seller will refund what you paid when you were bidding on it, i. E. spend $200 to get $20, so we will get away with sending counterfeit goods to you every time. This happened to me so many times because I had a bunch of things I won at the same time. I lost so much money. Support staff just kept repeating the same exact words return to seller, give us tracking number... Unless you want to support the illegal import of counterfeit goods, and want to throw away all the money you spend buying risky goods, just stay far far away from this site.

Turned them in to bbb and attorney generals office lets see how this turns out have tried to contact the $#*!s and never get an answer and I would be shock if they do I will let the law get them

I'm mostly happy with the items I won on Top Hatter. My biggest gripe would be they do describe most items well enough that you know for sure what you are buying. And the other gripe is a lot of the items take way too long to arrive. But it is fun to bid and win and I have received a lot of really nice items worth quite a bit more than I paid.

I find that things are misleading in the picture. Very cheap products. Not all but most. Over all like the saying "you get what you paid for".

After numerous bids and wins i was truly disappointed with many of my items. The skeleton was 15" even though they show it on a real chair. Love my nintendo games, so far they are living up to their words.

They give you instant credits for returns when they want and if you use those credits never get merchandise. When you win bids that are in yiur favor seller never sends item when you track package no info. So of you ise credits on items and seller don't send never reimbursed so lost money. Goto wish or joom pay for shipping ne better off I spent over 500 dollars and terrible service most stuff says in tramsit

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
