Hit and miss fun but chancy

Tophatter is fun bidding. It would be perfect if the sellers didn't misrepresent their items you think your getting whats pictuured and most of the time you are not then when you cancel your order they lock you out for 24 hrs why not lock out the seller for lying about their product?

Fake photos and descriptions

Tophatter allows vendors to lie to the bidders and says it is them not us. Time to become a more honest organization or get out of the business. I have enjoyed the bidding and have won several things, but also won some junk because of the photo/description. I hope someday that I can rate them much higher.

I love all of the items that I have purchased through Tophatter. I'm not very happy with how long it takes to get the items, it seems to be taking longer than expected for shipping. They need to find another way to ship the merchandise.

If the items I purchased turn out to be real sterling silver I will be very satisfied. Some of the items I received are cheaply made like the steam punk sunglasses and the magnifying glasses with side lights. I don't like how I may bid on something say for $5, (my rock bottom price), but when it shows up it's a dollar or two more. I appreciate Tophatter giving me the option to cancel a bid with no hassle. I like that some deliveries are really quick. I hate that some take so long and when I check on them it still says preparing to ship, or that they never left China. My biggest complaint is that four times I won and paid for items that never arrived. Even though the tracking info says they were delivered. I realize they might have been delivered to the wrong address or even maybe the mailman kept the package but that doesn't make me any happier. One last thing, how come sometimes the site has tons of items up and other times less than ten?

Too long on shipping
