Having decided to change jobs and knowing I needed a tip top CV, I submitted my current CV to CV now for the free critique service. I was expecting g a few tips and pointers but instead got a very thorough and honest review of what needed improving for my CV to properly represent me.

From this excellent feedback I registered with CV now and their writer contacted me and we went through the process of several iterations of my CV until I was completely happy. When I suggested changes these were considered but if there was a reason that they believed the changes would not benefit the CV they were open and honest in explaining why.

All the promised time scales were kept to and I am extremely happy with the layout and content of my CV. The fact it is delivered in word which means you can use this template to update as your career changes is also very good and means the value from this investment will last as your career develops.

I have already recommended CV now to a close friend who will be using the service and have no problem in recommending them to anyone else.

I used CV Library to write my CV professionally. I was linked up with a writer who specialises in my field which was very handy. We exchanged email and she asked a few question to help her understand what I was looking for. My CV was then written and sent back to me within a week. I made a few comments and the writer incorporated these changes. My CV was completed in less than two weeks and I was fully satisfied with the results. I highly recommend CV Library.

Whilst applying for jobs on secsinthecity I was offered a free review of my CV by Katie Warren (having read other reviews I've now realised this is an automated service). I got sucked in by the initial review and forked out £149 for the premium service. The questionnaire I was sent gave a good first impression and I completed this with lots of detail. Yesterday I received my first draft from Gregory K - an expert writer from CV Now (allegedly) and I was simply astonished at the terrible quality of the first draft. It has left me with no confidence that the 2nd or 3rd draft will be any better. I wish I had read these reviews prior to parting with my money this site is a SCAM and I would urge you all to AVOID at all costs!
From reviewing my first draft its obvious that CV Nows writer had NOT read the questionnaire that I completed for their company, they did not read the CV and personal statement I sent them. The entire draft sounds as though its for someone else and I feel it encourages fabrication of your skills - this entire experience has been horrendous and Im left with a terrible CV and £149 out of pocket!
REFUND PLEASE you can keep your expert TEMPLATE CVS!

I was impressed with the CV and the Cover Letter. I understand now why I need to have my CV revamped.
The assigned writer did well with both the CV and Cover Letter.
However, I could not give it a 5 STAR as the LinkedIn input had somehow disappoint me as I expected more. I agreed to pay additional GBP75 for it but could have save that amount as I could simply update my profile to align with new CV.
Overall, it was a decent service.

Terrible service. I submitted my CV for a review and the feedback I originally got was really good, very detailed and made a lot of sense. I was under the impression the same person who reviewed my CV would help write my new one but this turned out not to be the case.

On the back of the review I paid £130 for the CV and cover letter package. From the moment I paid I got the impression that the service wouldn't be UK based as the forms only had the option for a zip code and American address.

The CV I received was cut down hugely, there was no great detail, no real explanation for the changes made and the formatting was embarrassing. It was full of grammatical errors, reads very poorly and looks as if it has been written by someone who's first language isn't english. When I questioned the draft CV I'd received, the response was I got was terrible and again the emails I received read as if the writer didn't speak english as their first language.

I was initially sent an email with no attachments telling me things had been re-organised before receiving a second email that asked me what changes I would make. I thought the point of this service was that a professional CV writer would make recommendations and tell me what they think?

Some of the content of my new CV seemed to be fabricated and based only on the job adverts I was interested in which I had shared with the writer.

Overall I think it was very poor. I haven't uploaded my CV to any job sites as it's embarrassing. I definitely wouldn't recommend CV Now and if there's anyway of getting my money back I would greatly appreciate it although apparently 'all sales are final'.
