I couldn't get what was wrong with my CV. With the free review I received a honest and independent feedback and I understood where I used the wrong approach. I appreciated mainly the recruiter's point of view and how an ATS would evaluate my application.
The feedback on my resume was tailored to my profession and I was honestly impressed. I wasn't expecting a review at all, and when I did receive one, I thought it would be a templated copy pasted one.
The feedback provided helped me understand where my CV could be improved and was given quickly. Also, their review was free, however, would not pay to get CV re-written. Best to just take their advice and re-write it yourself in my opinion.

The writers don't actually speak to their paying customers. The writer I had refused to acknowledge or action the majority of the feedback I gave. I was hounded constantly despite informing them I was abroad on business. Worst of all I contacted their customer support to give them the opportunity to put things right, my concerns were addressed and I was told 3 times if I wanted to change anything I would have to pay an additional fee! Don't use them.

The critique was "devastatingly amazing" because it made me think about many things I should change to improve my CV if I want to send it to international job offers.
First of all, as English is not my mother language, it's hard for me to use the right vocabulary and idioms and the critique was right: I abused of repeating the same monotonous and simple words.
Just as well that, for the last 4 years, I've been working for a British company and my fluency of the language has greatly improved, to the point of being able to manage meetings, phone calls, recruitment interviews, dealing contracts with vendors, managing multicultural and geographically distributed teams around the world, etc...
It also made me think about how should I present the message depending on the culture of the destination audience: although we live in this internet-connected world, recruiters in Spain may look for different aspects in the CV than recruiters in the UK, USA or Germany.
But looking forward, instead of using a service to write a CV "on behalf of me", I would consider the advisory part of the service, to get tips and tricks, to learn the proper language, in short, to know how to offer my services during the face-to-face interview but according to what I've shown in my CV.

My CV critique was absolutely accurate because all the arguments presented had been told before by other colleges in my last company, the difference is that even though many people pointed out my mistakes, no one could tell me how to fix them. Thats TopCV job and since I have not (yet) hired their services, I can not give an opinion on that, nevertheless their advice and review of my CV was quite real and on point.

I can assuringly say once I received a reply from one of the polite employees at TopCV, it was something that I benefitted much from. The email response I received was an honest answer which highlighted the good and the bad also with pointers of how I can improve on it. I was told with a detailed explanation for what employers/managers key in on and what they look for. With more knowledge now and adjustments made I'm certain my CV will make a greater impact.
