TopCV looks very promising at first glance. I got the most elementary draft back and my cover letter looks as if the CV writer, Derek L, used ChatGPT. Absolutely dismal. I am a senior legal advisor and could not use any of it. You will never get the full details of who you are working with and their Ts and Cs refer to their no refund policy which cannot be legal. Stay away. I add a screenshot of an extract of what they have given me - my original wasn't great but it didn't look like this. Judge for yourself

The CV had many details of the recent experience due to strong responsibilities I had. I will shorten the details as you advised so as to be short and precise. I will also add something on negotiation skills.

Not worth the money at all. I ended up re-writing the whole cv on my own.
I sent them my old cv, they sent me the first draft after they made some paraphrasing, mixing up the bullet points (for example the experience section was written half bullet points/half paragraph containing the bullet points of my original cv).
The design of the cv wasn't special at all and too basic.
After I sent the first draft with my edits (basically the whole cv re-written by me) the sent me the second draft with changes only made to the fonts of some sentences!
I ended up redoing the whole cv on my own and with another service provider.
Anyway, it is expensive and the money I paid them was a complete waste.
I recommend using Canva.com for nice CV templates.
Terrible experience working with TopCV.
They did minimal improvements to my CV, basically only replacing a few words that I had already written with synonyms and changing the layout (MAKING IT WORSE if you can believe that).
I wasted my time and money, my CV is not any better than it was before. In fact it's now a giant piece of $#*!, thanks to this scam.

Two months after the services were provided, I was billed an additional $107.00. I have contacted the company and they have not responded nor have they provided any clear way of getting customer support online.

A back-ground summary was enough as input for drafting a professionally written CV. Only little changes/corrections were needed.
I was impressed by the writer's responsiveness and her ability to revise my CV in such a way that it plugged in perfectly to the ATS systems used by HR. I tested this and discovered that all my information had been perfectly filled in from my CV, as to opposed to my old CV where I landed up inputting all the information from the beginning.
Now I am putting to the test my CV being more visible to job postings. Fingers crossed.

I didn't expect such a deep level of review. The reviewer described all aspects of my CV and even input it into an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), which opened my eyes to the approach of CV writing.
