I have been struggling to prepare my CV for over 6 months. I found CVNow on the internet and decided to give it a go. I am an Aviation professional and I was pleasantly surprised that my writer assigned (Adrian) could immediately adjust and reflect my skills and qualifications within my cv as well as in a timely manner. I was impressed by the Cover Letter and my LinkedIn Account now looks very professional. I do recommend CVNow to my friends and relatives.

I actually was not sure whether the CVNow people will be able to reflect properly what I want. I was afraid that they will push me up to a career lady in the finance sector, but I am not from this sector but more in the International NGO sector in the finance part, and I am more interested in part time employment and/or short term consultancies. I learnt, that it was not wise to show too much of my age, so all later than 15 years was almost deleted. That I have raised 4 children all by myself, was deleted but then I was able to convince her to mingle it somehow into my CV, what she did. I purchased the Career Evolution Writing Package. This includes CV and Cover Letter writing. As far as it concerns my CV, I am totally satisfied and happy, I think that it is a professional work. CVNOW sent it back to me really quickly in 3 working days.
Regarding my Cover Letter, I am not so satisfied. In comparison with my CV writing, which I find it excellent, my Cover Letter is a little vague and unspecified. Furthermore it is small enough, so there are some sites which indicate me that my Cover Letter is under the minimum desired words. I requested them to add some details and more specific information about me but the delivered document was not a professional work but rather a rough work. They also delayed to send it back to me so my deadline was over.

I am always sceptical about the service offered from CV writers and therefore was apprehensive about using CVNow however, the price seemed reasonable and I thought having someone else review my CV couldn't do any harm.

I uploaded my Cv and was surprised that within forty-eight hours I had received the first draft to review. The draft came back with a number of suggetions and some questions that would help them in finalising my CV.

The process was easy to use and very interactive with very quick response times. I answered the questions and was pleased to receive the finalised version within a further forty-eight hours.

CVNow walk you through the process, and if required hold your hand until such times you are completely happy with their service.

I now have a CV that I am truly happy with and look forward to finding the right vacancies so that I can apply knowing that my CV will get me noticed.

The free CV review the used to lure me in was actually really useful. I wish I had simply used that update my CV myself instead of throwing away money.

After i placed my order, I was sent a form to complete, detailing my requirements for the re-write and what I wanted to get out of it. A few days later, I received the first draft and knew I had made a stupid mistake.

The CV writer simply rearranged my own words, there was no re-write involved and the initial form I completed to give details of what I wanted from my CV appeared to have been ignored. They had also ignored their own review of my CV as they hadn't incorporated their own suggestions. Additionally, the writer used American English spellings - how can I trust anything else they write when they don't know the difference?

If I had to guess, I would say that the writer had a basic template and had copied and pasted bits from my original CV into this template. The result was a CV that didn't make too much sense due to the bits that had been cut out and the rearrangement of text.

This service may be useful for someone who is just entering the workplace for the first time and literally has no idea how to write a professional CV but I'd advice professionals with more experience to avoid CVNow.

I was pleased with the review and turnaround of the project to update my CV. It still managed to retain a 2 page layout with more information than before. A second review was beneficial (considering no other dialogue comes with the package as I felt it was important to not over exagerate some of the content.
I have sent the new CV to another competitor for analysis and they've come back saying that it is just 50% optimum. I'm a bit disappointed about that and not sure if there is an element of marketing from such competitor (after all, if they said it was 100% perfect I wouldn't need their business) or if CVNow is not an adequate standard. On the whole, I think it's wise to get a different perspective review of your CV and CVNow is a good place to start.

I did an initial free assessment and was so impressed that I signed up immediately. While the assessment was probably good enough for me to improve my CV, the purchased product indicated it was money well spent.

The first draft was practically 95% complete, given the technicality of my work I was impressed by how they had interpreted my capabilities.

I have recommended CVNow to my son and a friend, don't mess with your CV if you are serious about getting the right job.
