I've been with this site for years and only have gotten like 2 rewards. Now I know why! I just found out today that it said points expired and when I checked it again they took away more then 5,000 pts. So called support says they feel for you but they really don't because you don't get your points back! I know this has happened more then once, I always wondered why it seemed my points kept getting lower. This is a jerk move on their part considering you waste that time on work you have worked for and you need more then a damn year to save your points to TRY to cash out with their rewards that are at a VERY high level. But impossible to work to that when your points have a limited time then they take em away! Only site ever that is this shady! For me it's very hard to qualify with surveys that just kick me off so the long $#*! ones I completed were for NOTHING. Agree with other posters do NOT join. Shoulda known since reviews are bad for Toluna across the board.
I signed up with this site several years ago when I read on a blog that it offered possible free test products. That was VERY misleading, but it's my fault for not investigating this site further - lesson learned. Do lots of due diligence before signing up for any of these types of sites, as many are huge time wasters & pay out beans for your time. Toluna is mainly a survey site but I had no interest in doing surveys. I thought it'd be fun to 'possibly' test free products. Every test product offering only provides anywhere from a few hundred to approx 500 products (except the last test product offering was 900+ which I'd never seen them offer that many prior). They seem to offer test products approx once a month or so. I understand that considering how many Toluna users there are, statistically there's a very low chance of actually getting chosen to test a product. I had no idea that Toluna has millions of users all over the world, so the chances of you getting picked to test one of just a few hundred products is basically zero. After applying to test products every single time they're offered for years & never getting chosen, I've finally given up. I guess I'm determined... or just really stubborn & kind of lame for continuing on for years ha. You'd think I'd give up long ago, considering these aren't expensive products, but I thought it'd just be fun if I did get chosen. Most test products are under $10 & many are probably worth about $5 (like eye pencils & lip balms). But I kept the hope up that eventually I'd get picked - nope! What a complete waste of time. Do not bother with this site for trying to get test products. After reading reviews of Toluna, it's mainly just a survey site & according to many users, even their surveys are not worth your time.
As a side note, their customer service is of no help at all. I contacted them because their site wouldn't allow me to update my address (in case I ever did get picked for a test product) & could they please update my address for me & try to fix their site's issue. I tried to update my address over 20 times over the past several months to no avail. Their reply was to submit my new address & click update - exactly what I had told them I'd already done over 20 times. I also asked them about their test products program & told them I've applied for years with no luck & is there anything I need to do to have a better chance of being picked (does doing surveys, having a blog etc increase chances?). They didn't respond to that question at all, so I have no idea how their test product program works.
Just stay away from Toluna. Toluna does nothing but suck your time & cause major frustration with zero to gain regarding test products.
I can't personally speak to their surveys, but if you read other reviews & google Toluna, most people say you get very little payout from doing long surveys, points expire, you have to do long screeners & then it'll say you don't qualify... doesn't sound like their surveys are worth doing. Also googling Toluna's test product program, almost everyone says they also have never received anything from this company after applying for a long time, some for many years (one person said they'd applied for test products for 7 years & never been chosen). What a waste of our time. Much better companies out there who actually reward their users regularly with test products/samples & provide decent pay out for surveys. Stay FAR away from this junk site!
I used Toluna and I have to say its so slow. After struggling, I found another website similar and got right on. Luckily, I have over $600 and ihad no regrets at all. Just easy polls, answering question was all I had to do. Comparing both I was amazed of how much I made. Try it and good luck :D http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=freestufftoday
I have been a member of Toluna.com for many years. About a week ago I found that I could not sign in or contact Toluna through their website. I have tried to contact through Facebook and through an unrelated email from them. I do not understand why this site will not work for me after so many years. This is good survey site and I am disappointed with their inability to help me.
I have been a member of Toluna for about 10 years. I used to do a lot of surveys on the site but found that I wasn't really earning many rewards because the number of points needed for anything was pretty large. I also found that because I didn't have enough points to cash out, at different time points, some of what I did have would expire so that my balance would actually slide backwards pushing me farther away from a reward. While I used to get survey invitations that would give me large chunks of points, I no longer really receive anything that give me a good amount for a reasonable amount of time spent on a survey. If I am going to spend 20-30 minutes on a survey I expect to get more than the equivalent of about $0.50. It is a good site to make extra money on if you have the time to do a large volume of surveys to get your rewards to accumulate quickly but if you can only take them from time to time then there are probably other sites that you should sign up for as well to maximize the amount you earn to the time you have and not have points taken away from you if they "expire" and you do not have enough to cash out.
I have cashed out a few times now not to mention I won a prize of 2800$ American from them back in 2011. I would have given them four stars but because I won cash from them they get five :)
The surveys are often quite fun and interactive but it is painful how long they take to credit to your account and furthermore when you do redeem for a reward it always takes at least 1 month to receive a gift card, often longer. Why do they not just credit points instantly and send an evoucher code for a reward?
The points earned from surveys come in much faster than previously. Also, if a participant is filtered out of a survey, he still receives some points.
I've been with Toluna for more than two years and it's getting better and better. It now has more payment options including an option to be paid by cheque. The points earned from surveys come in much faster than previously. Also, if a participant is filtered out of a survey, he still receives some points. Great site to earn a few dollars for completing surveys.
Been doing surveys with these people for a while. Finally got enough to get a check, and suddenly I cant log on. I dare say I will never see my check that was pending last time I was able to lob on... WHAT A SCAM!
I keep getting offered, say, 4,000 points to complete a survey only to find that after entering vast amounts of personal consumer history I am being told I did not qualify for it or that my particular user group quota has already been filled. Interesting that I should be told of this sometimes three quarters of the way through for example, a 40 minute survey! Seems to me some very sneaky folk are receiving free market research which they're then selling on to relevant retailers at great cost, no doubt! I'd like to know of anyone who finds this site fair and legitimate!

Answer: Hi Debbie! A major factor in technical issues is that survey respondents are using a wide variety of operating systems, browsers, internet connections, etc., and not all of these are necessarily compatible with the technology of a particular survey. If you encounter a technical problem with a survey that's not fixed by refreshing the page & trying again, please report it to us via https://toluna.com/contactus and we will do our best to resolve it!
Answer: Hi Ian! General errors may happen from time to time on any digital platform, but clearing cookies and cache can sometimes resolve the issue.
