Sales rep called to verify tire size because it wasn't the factory size and all was well until I told him I was purchasing two tires that were one size smaller. He then proceeded to insult me telling me I couldn't do that, they would wear prematurely, I wouldn't be able to rotate them and then, specifically said, "I look forward to hearing from you in a couple months when you need four new tires." I tried to explain that I would run the different sizes front and back and if you rotate them correctly, you would still be able to keep them separate front to back. The existing two tires I was keeping were relatively new and had 10,000 miles on them and Nitto no longer makes the tire size I needed to match. I didn't want to scrap the two tires that were in good shape and buy all four right now. All of this to say, I knew the risks of what I was doing and had every intention on buying four new tires after these wore. I didn't appreciate this particular sales reps condescending tone so I canceled the order and shopped local instead. They had no issues with what I was trying to do and gladly took my money, which is how I expect transactions/interactions should go. I didn't want to agree to have this posted publicly because I'm not here to ruin someone else's business over a single bad experience. This feedback should stay between TireRack and myself but they won't allow me to send this feedback unless I agree to make it public.
Al ways good. The problem I have is with Michelin no longer producing sizes for my two Honda vehicles. Two vehicles.
Easy to order. Couple hiccups if you want to order a different size tire than what is oem.
