I lived in Michigan for many years and was a loyal Discount Tire customer. I sadly moved away to Long Island New York where the real Discount Tire stores don't exist. When I was shopping for tires and learned that discount tire purchased tire rack, it only confirmed my decision to purchase tires through here.

It was easier than I expected and it shipped the tire to a business I trusted.

Got a matching (ie: full size) spare tire for my 2003 Ford Excursion. The original tire still looked good but they can rot from the inside out and mine was almost 20 years old. I heard horror stories of them suddenly blowing out a sidewall (60 psi) while still inside the cargo area of my SUV and blowing out the (hard to replace) rear and side windows.

Ordered the wrong tires earlier and got a call from Tire Rack to let me know, came back after I researched their recommendation.

Your website is really user friendly and easy to navigate.

Process was easy and quick, tires delivered from local distribution center is 3 days

Ordering & finding what I wanted/needed was fine. TireRack employees were great to work with!
However, the delivery process was not good!
Delivery was stated for a noon delivery. Noon came & went. Now its 2 pm & that also came & went. Then I was able to find info for a 4 pm delivery. 4 pm came & went. Then it was stated by OnTrac that it may be not until 9 pm. What the heck! No means to contact them except some horrible online weak-$#*! attempt to use A.I. To communicate... It timed out on me twice!
Finally the OnTrac pulls up at about 5:45 pm. The delivery truck smelled like something mechanically was wrong w/ it. There were no tail/brake lights no running lights, only front parking lights. The driver had to use his phone's light to dig out my tires & read the labels.
By the way, it was already quite dark out.
When I asked him about the delay, he said something the was not discernible to me.
As it was, I had to cancel my appointment w/ the tire shop for the mounting & alignment. (They weren't very thrilled either.)
I would have planned my purchase differently if I'd known that this would happen.
Major inconvenience, especially since my plan was to leave the next day at the crack of dawn to the snowy mountains to help a family member! So I risked driving on my existing model of tires (which apparently aren't made anymore & I only needed two).
If other shippers are not available to my part of the country (according to Tirerack), then I will have to find other means to shop for tires. That's a shame since I've been buying from TR for a long time for my multiple fleet of vehicles.
Just be upfront and informative/honest w/ the delivery process (OnTrac). Don't mislead me!
