Ticketmaster Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and technical issues. Many customers report difficulties accessing their accounts, long hold times, and inadequate support for ticket-related problems. Concerns about cybersecurity and the inability to transfer or resell tickets exacerbate frustrations. Conversely, some positive feedback highlights an easy-to-navigate website and helpful customer service representatives who resolve issues when contacted. Overall, while the company offers a wide selection of tickets, its customer service and technical reliability require substantial improvement to enhance user experience and trust.

They charge you in a nano second when you purchase a ticket. They'll hold your money for 2 weeks or longer when you sell tickets. Customer service and even senior leadership hide behind voice mails with no identification. No one responds to e-mails. Sorry case for the customer, excuses are given, even blaming the customer... Don't buy tickets from ticketmaster.

I paid over 330.00 for 2 third row seats to see Buddy Guy at NYCB Theater in Westbury NY ie. Westbury Music Fair. WHAT A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY! To my utter dismay Buddy's Huge Guitar Rack and of course the Technician that fed Buddy his varius guitars during the show was directly in front of me blocking my view of Buddy! Never saw a rack in FRONT of the stage before! Starring at the back of the head of a guitar tech was not my idea of a 330.00 show.
I contacted Ticketmaster about the situation. They are a JOKE! They said I should contact the show promoter. Seriously? No name of promoter, no contact info, just contact them. In other words not only was Ticketmaster no help, they sent me on mission impossible to find the unamed Promoter. My response to Ticketmaster: I did not pay the Promoter, I paid you, Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster owes me the refund. Needles to say Ticketmaster did nothing for me except send me on a wild goose chase that I didn't deserve.
I will avoid using Ticketmaster wherever possible in the future. They s*ck.

Got tickets to a concert for my mom for Christmas with an added add on experience. Concert doors open at 5:45. She gets there and finds out the add on started an hour earlier. But how would she know? Oh, she asked 2 ladies who told her she had to go the the third floor of the venue and get a pass. But how would they know? We're not sure because Ticketmaster never emailed us any of this information. None of it. They sent one email a few days before the even with details about when the venue doors open. Nothing about add on times or when they start. I immediately emailed them about this and got a response. After going back and forth they basically said "because the event is already past we cannot refund you". Even after telling them they failed to let us know when to properly arrive for the add on experience. For your sake, do not use Ticketmaster

So I really want to go the Zac brown concert at chase field in November but of course ticketmaster don't sell handicapped accessible seats which I think so ridiculous I mean just because I'm in a wheelchair that doesn't mean I can't go to concerts seriously. I HATE TICKETMASTER

Customer service is non-existent! I had a legitimate reason to get an exchange on a ticket request and they flat out denied it.

Stay away if you can!

Bogus Seats
April 11, 2022

I recently went to Tickermaster to buy tickets for a hockey game in Seattle. I don't know why I did this but ended buying tickets for the wrong rows. The problem is the tickets I bought were some that weren't available for the event. The map show the tickets available for resale and regualer ones that you can buy. Ticketmaster let me buy tickets that weren't available and charged me for them. Also it showed that these were verified seats. As you know thier customer service is really bad.

I had problems loading the barcodes on my app, so I listed the tickets to sell as I had a family emergency. If you email Ticketmaster they send links that don't work and if you call they say go to website and you get disconnected. I just lost $300 because I couldn't sell or give away the tickets. This is so unacceptable.

I received a gift card from my sister for Christmas, and it's proven to be a nightmare to use. I've tried all week to redeem the gift card on an event with no luck. The online documentation for redeeming the gc shows a button to apply the gift card code which does not exist in the checkout UI. The customer service phone number tells you to submit a ticket online and then automatically hangs up, but to submit a ticket you need to have already placed an order to have an order reference. I work in software, so understand and appreciate that bugs can occur. BUT, it is unacceptable to have ZERO path to contact support without an existing order. What a terrible, terrible company. I will NEVER use Ticketmaster again.

Refund
April 4, 2022

I have tickets to the Garth Brooks concert that was canceled. The credit card I used has been closed. I've been talking with customer support via email for 6 months trying to get my refund and they just keep telling me to wait. Said it was sent to the original credit card company but I've reached out them and they have received nothing. You can't talk with someone at ticketmaster because they don't answer the phone. What an unprofessional company. They're totally avoiding me. It's been over 6 months and I have not received my refund. I would never ever use this crummy company to purchase tickets again.

I will NEVER use ticket master again. I bought tickets for a show and then read the refund policy to make sure I aligned with it to buy different tickets that opened up for better seats. My purchase met all the requirements. Nowhere did it say my entire order had to be the same price, just the tickets had to be. And my tickets were the exact same price. Customer service said they can't refund the tickets and of course you can only ask for a refund after you purchase new tickets opposed to being able to exchange them. My original purchase included parking but my second one didn't cause I figured they wouldn't refund the parking portion. After emailing back and forth the lady tells me to purchase parking on the new order, so I go into the new order under my tickets and then there's a button that says add parking (in that order) so I do so, thinking it will add parking to that order- nope apparently it makes a new confirmation number/order for the parking. I email this to the lady and she says they cannot refund cause it's not part of the order Number. There is literally no way I can find to do what she emailed me telling me what to do. So she basically lied or misrepresented the options, got me to buy parking from them and then tell me I need to just find someone to transfer the tickets to or resell them. This has been a nightmare experience and I'm about to be out $360 usd because they are basically criminals who completely misrepresent their processes. I'm furious if you can't tell. Do NOT ever ever order from them. Some people really need their money back and it's a crook system to make people buy new tickets then request a refund of the old order.

Worst experience with an app I've ever had. MLB baseball please change vendors. I won't buy any more MLB tickets through your site until you stop using Ticketmaster.

The worst page to buy
March 22, 2022

The worst customer service ever, I bought tickets for a game that I couldn't attend because of COVID19 and they have no protocol for this type of situation! I contacted the organizer of the event and they told me that Ticketmaster is the one who has to return my money because that's where I bought my tickets!... conclusion? Lousy customer service! Which makes me think that if this situation has happened before, they allow covid infected people to attend the events! Since they don't offer any solution to it.

HOW ARE THEY STILL A MAIN SOURCE FOR TICKETS
March 20, 2022

Nonexistent customer service. I tried to transfer tickets from my phone, table and desktop before reaching out to customer service having tried to send both to an email address and a mobile number. Response was to "try from multiple devices." They don't read the chats you send at all. Responded, telling them I did that but I'll try the clear cache "trick" they suggested. I STILL have an error message and ZERO HELP whatsoever from Ticketmaster. This is not my first issue either, but bc theyre monopolizing the sale of concert tickets SOMEHOW, I'm sure it won't be my last. When is a good reliable, properly staffed with knowledgable, real people going to step in and save us from this APATHETIC - not my problem approach to customers. They don't care because they don't need to care without a real threat for competition. Call me, I'll invest like mad in whoever develops a better way. To attend a concert these days.

WARNING! NEVER USE TICKETMASTER! I purchased 2 tickets and checked the box to have them mailed to me. Then with a quick switch, they changed the method to Mobile Tickets. I don't have a cell phone! They sent them to my phone that hangs on the wall. You know, an old phone. So, there is no way to contact them. Their phone gives a message and hangs up. No email address, just a box to contact them with no response time or even if they will get back to you. So, it appears they scammed me out of ~$150.00 and the tickets are somewhere in TICKETMASTER HELL! Would give them a -10 rating if possible.

I ordered and paid for tickets to the Keb Mo concert at the Moore Theater in Seattle. I intentionally bought them directly from the Moore Theater in order to simplify the process and make sure that I was paying a fair price rather than an inflated price through a third party. Moore failed the test as they then used cititicketsonline.org to process the request for online delivery of the tickets, which then passed the baton to Ticketmaster. I was unable to access the tickets as I did not have a Ticketmaster account and was unable to set one up as Ticketmaster did not recognize my email alias even though all communications from cititicketsonline and Ticketmaster had been sent to that very same email address. It was impossible to contact the Moore Theater, cititicketsonline or Ticketmaster by telephone as the Moore has no listed telephone number and the other two have only toll-free numbers that involve 15+ minute hold times before answering and disconnecting. Emails to those organizations were futile. I finally seem to be getting somewhere after having invested six hours in the process. So far, all parties have failed miserably. I'm not sure I'll ever again subject myself to this torturous process. In this continuing saga, this sitejabber app will not let me post a pdf image of my receipt. GRRRRR!

I wanted to contact them by anyway because I have bought tickets, but the dates on the website and on my ticket are different. So, they made a mistake. I just want to know the date of the show. I never could reach them. There is no phone number, email, or direct messaging. There is no support center.

Bought 2 tickets online, when I went to claim them they said another email had already done it. Tried to call them no phone number just an email form, received a return email stating they would get back to me in 24-48 hrs, the event was tonight, and couldn't go. Working with credit card company to get my money back.

I have been trying to buy Train tickets, for the Austin, Texas show for 3 nights. I have gone through the TicketMaster website and jumped through all the hoops 16 times. I choose 4 seats. I put in my credit card. I choose to add a parking pass. I decline the ticket insurance. Then, I am told that the tickets are not available any longer. Same process 16 times. No help email. No help "bot". I thought TicketMaster wanted to sell tickets. Apparently not. Oh, same story with the Train website. No one to contact... and, Train website just sends me to TicketMaster.

I bought Justin Bieber tickets in Denver for 2020 before COVID hit. It was moved from mile high stadium to Ball Arena. I had my order moved from the one venue to the other. Early in 2021 my order in my account disappeared! I have been fighting to get them back in my account since 2/2021. To date, they are NOT there. They tell me they will be there 3/13 3 days before the concert. This gives me NO way to transfer /sell tickets. Ticket master sucks. I am a long time concert goer. I recommend if you buy tickets from ticketmaster you save all your info. I also recommend to use a third party vendor like stub hub because it is clear to me TIcketmaster has NO CUSTOMER service whatsoever. For a year i have been unable to speak to a LIVE person. Buy your tickets third party.
