I joined thrive a few months ago because of all the rave reviews online. As well, there are so many options for various diets and instead of running over to whole foods all the time, I thought this would be a convenient way to order food that I would normally buy at a health food store.
Every order that I placed was late. Not only was the order always late, but the cans had dents in them. Every. Single. Time.
I figured okay. One time, two times... I'll just jump on the chat and get a refund. That worked out well. But after 4 or 5 times of my food items arriving with dents in them as well as them being a week late, I've decided enough is enough.
I jumped on the chat and their agents just pick and choose which comments they want to enter. Fine. It keeps everything streamlined BUT. They aren't able to answer my direct question.
I. e. I'd like a refund for my food items (yet again) that have dents in them, and two. I'd like to cancel my membership and get a refund.
WOW. Was THAT ever a production!
Thrive does such a great job of taking your money but seems to have difficulty with issuing a refund when it is their fault.
Cans are coming dented from the warehouse and shipments are constantly arriving late.
I had to speak with 3 or 4 different agents, and one of them even stated to me, there's no way we can issue you your money back, we just won't auto renew your membership.
So basically I would keep paying the yearly membership and never order anything from thrive again?
I don't think so...
Just awful customer service. I was totally shocked...
I wrote a letter to their complaint department. I NEVER received a letter back nor a phone call.
I FINALLY saw a refund for my membership.
Total waste of time...
Again, it's really a shame. They need to step up their training and customer service skills. ESPECIALLY, in this day in age.
I ordered a speciality box for Valentine's Day from an email offer I received from them which was supposed to be $28 off the regular price. Two days later I checked with my bank and they charged me full price. After arguing with their customer service people on 3 different occasions they finally agreed to refund the overcharge. Then I got a notice that due to high volume my shipment was going to be delayed. Then a few days later I got another notice saying my shipment was delayed again due to weather. At this point I sent 4 emails telling them to cancel my order because it wouldn't arrive in time for Valentine's Day. All emails were ignored. Valentine's Day was yesterday and I just got a notice today that my box has been shipped. I will never order from them again! A total waste of money!
Update: Thrive finally listened to my complaints. They rerouted the box back to their warehouse and refunded my purchase price. I like some of their products so I may or may not order from them in the future.

I've been using Thrive for a couple of years and it has seriously declined. The deals are great but only when I actually get what I ordered. Sometimes thrive will have a generous discount on a large selection of items as they did a month ago. I took quite a bit of time pouring through the sale items to decide what to stock up on, I probably spent an hour doing this through a somewhat cumbersome process.
The order was delayed. Delayed again. A week later I called them and had them cancel the order. I managed to also find out that the delivery service they use had lost the item, something thrive didn't seem to know. Now, it's a week later and I don't have any of the items. I can order them again but without the 30% sale discount.
A few weeks later there was another, albeit more limited sale. I placed another order on Monday, expecting it would be shipped by Tuesday. On Friday it still has not shipped but they tell me it should ship tomorrow -- of course with tomorrow being a Saturday that likely means Monday. As they use a bottom of the barrel shipper -- ontrack, that order, whenever it finally ships, may get delayed or lost again.
At this point an entire month has gone by and I have not been able to receive anything I ordered. This is not the first time this has happened. I estimate that roughly half of my orders over the past year have been lost or delayed.
If you have lots of patience and only want to order things you don't need anytime soon, this could be a good option for you -- and let's not forget that you get to pay an annual fee to have the privilege of this horrific service.
To be fair, when items are damaged they are good about crediting for them, but shipping/packing is random and chaotic so things are often over packed or liquid items are put in bags which then aren't sealed properly so what's the point?
I wish I could have some of my wasted time and aggravation refunded to me -- I hope you are more fortunate than I am!

I wanted to see a complete list of all available options for the keto diet so I joined for the month. After I was given access to see what they had, I cancelled my membership. Buyer beware, their keto options are limited and I have tried their options and I did not like them. They will not refund my months membership even after 15 minutes of being a member. I have used many keto brands and I do not like their brands and there is not much of a variety. Waste of time and money.

I did not find the prices to be lower than I can get on Amazon. They keep your credit card information and it can't be deleted in their site. Their chat function sends you in circles without ever getting you to a customer service representative. It is impossible to cancel the membership or speak with a person. I had to cancel my credit card and dispute the charges with my bank for $59.95. Total rip-off and pain in the rear. I ordered with them one time.

Thrive Market is an online ordering for different styles of healthy eating, whether organics, keto, or so forth.
Pros:
-If you live in the middle of nowhere. They will almost always deliver.
-Their packaging is fantastic. Super secure. Nothing with break, extra care given.
-Different health lifestyles made by different health enthusiasts via boxes. Organics, keto, etc...
-Once in a blue moon you get a free item or deal
-Free shipping after $50
-Will refund if you show them the difference in price...
Cons:
-Their deals are often worse than regular price at Sprouts or Whole Foods.
-Regular prices are worse than any store I've seen.
-Do you know how much time it takes to research all your cart prices? Then order. Then submit the info to customer service and get a response back?
-Their app/ website is hard to navigate.
-They trick you into getting a year subscription though you select a month trial.
-They purposefully don't give any details on the trial when this happens.
-Customer Service sucks, they just want to keep the money.
-And you need that Customer Service to cancel your trial. There's no cancel feature on the app or site. They really make it hard for you to cancel because they want your money.
-Now I have the biggest problem of all, a $60 subscription I don't use. If I do use it? It will cost me more money than it would to shop a Sprouts, though I have this subscription.
-Buyers remorse
Conclusion: Don't get it; Unless you live or vacationing in the middle of nowhere. Go to your local market. The savings aren't much if any.

In October 2020 I ordered Masa Harina (2) for a total of $15 from Thrive Market and received timely with no problems. BUT, first of November I see a charge from them on my credit card for $59.95 and disputed it through my credit union as I did not place another order. I receive an email from Thrive support stating that "we offer a direct to trial experience that starts a 30-day free trial when you select the "Start Free Trial" button on our homepage." This was never done, I DID NOT SELECT this option! Still trying to get this reversed. Be very careful!
The support response also said they sent a follow-up email in which I had the opportunity to cancel. How many emails do we all get everyday, most of them promotional that clog up our in boxes. I am so upset and feel that the company has stolen from me.

I joined Thrive October 15th. I've made two orders since. The first came quickly in sustainable packaging. There are a lot of options, but since I eat a lot of produce, I have to go to the grocery anyway. I'm only purchasing for one person, so I wouldn't order more than one box a month. If you eat more prepared meals this shouldn't be a problem. I canceled my membership today. I see reviews claiming their marketing is deceptive or a scam, but it was easy to cancel and I already received a notification from PayPal that I have been refunded the full membership amount. So no risk in trying!

Purchased the membership for $59.95 but after a few weeks I realized I got misled! Most of the items I tried to order showed out of stock or "back soon". Some of the common organic products I use are not carried by Thrive Market and those that were available were about the same price as my local store so I'll NEVER be able to save enough on orders to come out even let alone save money. Tried to cancel my membership but I was told that since I had used the service by placing an order it was non-refundable! So much for the 30 day money back guarantee. Had to file a complaint with the California Attorney General for deceptive practices to get my money back.

The website makes it seem like you can try it out for free for 30 days and then get a refund. I made one order and decided I wasn't interested. There aren't a lot of good products to choose from. So then I asked for my refund and they said that was only valid for the "annual membership, not the monthly one." I never saw this on the website, anywhere, including in the FAQ that I made sure to consult before signing up.
In fact, here is what the FAQ says:
"To better communicate our membership fee, we have replaced our 30 day free trial with the 30 day risk-free period of membership. We make it easy to decide if a Thrive Market membership is right for you. We allow you to try the membership risk-free for 30 days, meaning you can get a full refund on the membership fee if you cancel within 30 days of signing up. "
I complained to the chat online and the person still refused to give me a refund. It makes me very angry when companies deliberately try to trick people. This company needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Had to provide my information just to check out their site. When I realized that they did not offer fresh fruits and veggies, I contacted them to cancel. I was told that I would still be charged and would not renew the following month> This is a rip off!

I had a big delivery that was just received. There were 3 items that were badly damaged. I tried to contact customer service but it appeared that I was contacting robots! I was passed through 7 agents and finally without knowing what products were damaged, they just issued a gift card that was less than the price of the damaged items. I was very disappointed and will not buy from them any more and will surely continue to pursue my issue to get my full refund. Very bad customer service with poor packaging.

I couldn't be happier with ThriveMarket.com. The owner/CEO did an interview years ago telling his life story and motivation behind founding this company. I was so impressed I wanted to shop here ASAP. The service has been amazing, fast free shipping on regular-sized orders, impeccable quality food with in-house quality control and catering to health nuts like me along with the normal public. :) And the prices are remarkably low for this quality of food. Check the prices for yourself, keeping in mind these people help feed poor families nutritious food that's free of insecticides, herbicides and runoff pollution! That's priceless if you care about anyone besides yourself. Otherwise it's irrelevant and annoying, huh? :) You decide.

I am very confident that I can order anything from Thrive and know that I am getting a pure unadulterated product. I reorder often my preferred products because I can't find what I need in a grocery store. Very convenient cause they deliver right to my door. Don't have to be concerned about germs and keeping 6ft away from people.

I could not be happier with Thrive! A senior with discriminating taste, on a budget, I am able to find great bargains at Thrive. Not every time, but often enough to make the membership worthwhile. I discovered my favorite bacon bits on sale when I went to the site after a reminder nudge from one of their emails. Thank you, Thrive, for keeping my pantry in good shape!
