Haven't received the package yet. RealReal said it arrived last Friday. It's Tuesday and the package is not here.
I've ordered multiple times with TRR always satisfied with the speed and condition of items purchased.
However never understood why they always send multiple bought items separately? It has a somewhat big impact on the import taxes (as i always pay the duties/VAT, ok that's normal + additional local fees for every single shipment that I would be paying all at once if items were shipped together). That's a small annoyance for an overall very positive experience so far.
Disappointed, I'm not happy with the customer service I have been shopping online with this company gor couple years this was the worst customer service I've experienced I don't want to shop in your cite anymore
The relentless follow up from the consignment people is very annoying- despite writing in all caps to please stop following up (since I do not have clothes that meet your requirements), I continue to get emails offering to book me an appointment. On the other hand, when I emailed to change my delivery address within moments of placing an order- no one responded, it went to the wrong address and was a huge hassle for me to track down. When I finally got a response, customer service was helpful in filing a claim for a lost package but it took a lot of leg work on my end.
As a foreigner I want the company calculate the duty and tax before check out. There is a little problem collect a fees. As compare to Vestiaire collective it more convenient to me and shipping company because the don't have to collect a fees.
All in all shopping at the real real in-line is great.

I enjoy purchasing items from the RealReal. They're decent prices for fun items that I couldn't afford otherwise. I will probably keep buying from the RealReal in the future. I tried to consign something with the RealReal and, while communication was quick to start, I emailed some followup questions when I couldn't find the packing slip that their email instructions referenced. I never heard back. In summary, while the communication for consignment wasn't impressive and I never sent in my item, my purchasing experience was smooth.
Well, I bought a Gucci blouse and 3 weeks went by before they canceled my order because they didn't have the listed item and now the item has a "coming soon" tag on it.
I have been waiting on a dress for A MONTH now, I have reached out to customer support and still no update on my dress (Its been over 3 days). I'm not to sure what is going on in the warehouse for this company, but its been one order after the other. Something always goes wrong with my delivery. The only thing that keeps me here are the actual products themselves. I'm very disappointed in the way shipping and delivery is handles for the amount of money we are paying for items... this is not okay.
I'm 60 something years old, and with covid The Real Real has been the best shopping of my life. The clothes out truly the best.
Didn't honestly know what to expect when I purchased two pairs of jeans. The fit was exact based on information. Jeans were clean and exactly as described. Very happy with my purchase!
Phone message with estimated hold time... I have held numerous times for the specified duration on different days, only to be disconnected. Have several issues I have been trying to resolve but cannot get anyone to help me.
I ordered some shoes. Then I got a notification that "due to Covid" they would be delayed 3 days. 6 days went by and I never heard anything, so I reached out to customer service. They said that they would see what happened. Then 3 days later they tell me that the shoes aren't available. I had received a $100 credit + $100 discount and had used my commissions + additional money to pay for the shoes. Nothing was refunded. Horrible experience!
Authentic product but know your designers before buying. Some run 2 sizes down. So your medium may fit like small. Footwear is a gamble.
Along with many others, I turned to the internet during past 15 months. I have spent many thousands at The Real Real and it's a crapshoot as to whether the sizing info and details listed will be accurate. Things arrive that are listed as pristine with moth holes throughout, Chanel Sandals listed as very good condition and returnable with one sole hot glued together ($320), Carolina Herrera jacket listed inches larger than it was( I took it apart to eked just enough to make it work because it was fabulous), a "feels like cashmere sweater" in large, which I figured I could shrink since I am a small, arriving as an angora sweater in small... you get my point. You can find great items, but it's never certain that the data they provide will be accurate.
TRR has the simplest consignment process. The staff is helpful and they make selling you're stuff worthwhile. I use their service every time I reorganise my closet!
I love that I can find one of a kind pieces and the shipping and delivery are always top notch
Bought a small bag 100$, did not notice it was not returnable. I ask the same day to get an exception for a return. I'm was very sad to loose that money even if it's not a big amount. We go on Realreal to save money, and I just lost 100$. Don't think I will buy anymore on your site.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
