I sent several items of LV to them. They 'accepted' all including a gold satchel. The same belt and buckle were NOT returned. They only returned the black belt strap saying it is 'torn'. It was worn less than the one they kept but did not give me credit for. Someone swiped it. Oddly enough, the ONLY thing sold so far is that gold satchel that goes on the belt and buckle that were NOT returned and have disappeared. To make matters worse, I have emailed them FOUR times, last one finally taking time to put the consignment number etc. They are ignoring my request and supposedly are investigating. Over a month now. That someone took my belt within the company is really saddening and pathetic and gives me little credibility for this company. Furthermore, they say 70% commission but in reality you START at 55%. I might change review depending on what happens with my other items. Very discouraged by this missing belt and response. :(

I ordered three pairs of Tod´s shoes, all size 6. Only one of them was a size 6, one was 5 and the other was 7.
Shipping was very fast, and initiating a return of my items was fairly easy.
Items exactly as described and delivery was super fast, 2 days quicker than estimated. Very impressed.
I didn't like the items i recieved and returned them. I have not recieved a refund but instead consign and Very little in store credit. When i went to check for store credit nothing but 7.50 shows up. I sent over $200 and didn't get anything back for returning my items.
I received a disgustingly dirty dress with thick, crusty deodorant residue on the underarms and elsewhere. Them hem was also out and falling. The dress condition was described as "Good. Moderate discoloration and pilling at underarms." This did not lead me to think I would receive a dirty, smelly garment with literally crusty deodorant. I called TRR, and was told to send in photos. I did several times, but all the emails came back undeliverable. I reached out about that, but did not get a response. I'm really angry and unhappy about this.
Love the Real Real shopping experience. For those with the time and patience to browse the huge inventory, there are lots of great finds. Once you place your order, the order system is super efficient with notifications of shipments, partial or full, tracking information, etc. I almost never buy new anymore unless it's for very specific items and staples like socks & underwear!
Opened box, to find item broken. Very Disappointed.
This was not clear that it was broken from the description when I purchased it. So I was upset to buy some thing that was broken when I called to complain at the customer service hotline they refunded me shipping and gave me money towards a local repair.
Ordered based on pictures and guessed sizes. Everything fit & looked great and was in good condition.
In my last order two items were not as described. One had a pretty big hole despite being listed as "very good" condition, and the other was not even close to the size listed. All I was offered was a pitiful site credit or a return. I had already paid for import fees, so returning was not an option. I will think twice before shopping with the RealReal again.
The pants I ordered were listed as size 8 women's and were in actual fact size 7/8 boys so way too small.
Need to let your byers know if items purchase smell like smoke! You should have RETURN policy for all your items. Like fashionpile!
I have been satisfied with all my The RealReal purchases. All items have been in great condition and have offered tremendous value. I would highly recommend shopping and purchasing on The RealReal.
Really disappointed in the customer service received from the site. After a glitch happened with my selling account and I had not received a payout. I had to ask for it to be fixed at least a dozen times with no response. After it was finally fixed it was well after cut off for the month causing me to have to wait 45 days for a payout I shouldn't have had to wait for. Certainly most disappointed with the lack of effort from their team and being completely ignored so many times when all I was asking for is the payout I earned.
I purchased a lip and check tint. Once the product arrived it was discolored and covered in bumps. I contacted the company that makes the product. I sent photos as well. They said that based on the packing the product was almost four years, and well past expiration. I contacted the Real Real and they said I could return for credit, but that I needed to pay for shipping.
The shirt i ordered was in terrible shape besides the period to return is so short i have no choice but to keep and overpriced shirt that does not fir and with a broken button never described in the details.
Follow up from RealReal has been extremely poor. Repeated requests for manager call never happened. Also, representative said review dates would be extended and that didn't happen either. I am considering putting a hold on my Amex since no return call has been made.
I've been shopping at The Real Real for a few years now and have never been disappointed in the quality or authenticity of their products. On the few occasions I've had to contact customer service for information or support; they have been extremely responsive and customer service oriented.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
