The best service amazing speed with good quality clothing
The first person who told it straight did not lie. M y problem is with your Wearhouse. THE WORST!
You guys are awesome! I'm so glad I found you. Very reliable. I had to exchange a watch once and it was remarkably easy. Thank you. I also feel good that these items are being re-used and appreciated.
I've sold some items on the real real. Every time I log on I have to "verify" my account. I still don't have my money for my sales. It's been months.
I purchased a pair of shoes more than six weeks ago. They never shipped so I requested a refund and still haven't received it. I've spoken with customer service and emailed as well- no resolution, just people telling me it's in progress.
Hi, my experience with RealReal since I started, has been nothing short of amazing! They are so prompt with responses, and helping you anyway they can. Not to mention shipping is extremely fast. Happy with my order!
Thank you all for your services
Great range and good photography. Occasionally some garment descriptions are not accurate but overall it's an enjoyable shopping experience.
Description can be vague and not always accurate. Don't like to wonder why "moderate" wear means. Also, ALL of the imperfections should photographed. Care instructions should be included for all applicable items.
What a great experience! I can't wait to order from them again.
I shop on this site along the time. Super fast shipping, excellent products and amazing customer service. Very trusted site to buy from.
I feel as though shipping could be faster. I also feel that items that are purchased could come with some sort of authentication certificate.
There are a few problems: both with sales and purchases:
Purchases:
1. Your sizing on the app is off, very off - there has been multiple times that I have purchased clothing pieces that says size large on the app and turns out to be size small. Even in the tag the sizes are written but you still get it wrong. Not once but a few times
2. Shipping time at times is awful - takes way to long to get the product
3. Suggest lowering the shipping price -$11 is too high for shipping
4. I have purchased a bag based on a add on google which shows the price and with a coupon of REAL20 at the bottom - when I clicked on the add linked and purchased the bag - I realized that I wasn't offered the 20% - that is completely false advertisement. I complained to customer service and their response "TRR is not responsible for what Google puts on their page" this was on was the dumbest reply I have ever seen from Customer Service - Point being - pay more attention on your marketing and train your customer service team to have a better response next time
Purchases:
1. As for your purchases, I purchased a few pieces of clothing and must have worn it once max twice and returned it to TRR to sell the merchandise. I get a response saying the merchandise is not in good shape - I had worn once for a night out and not for a rugby game - not sure what they meant by merchandise not in good shape. It looked brand new to me. Please look into your purchasing policy
2. At times your valuation is way off and way below market price for Pre-owned merchandise.
I spend ALOT at the real real. My issue is I'm crazy busy! The real real doesn't measure altered clothing; I've bought the same jacket same size same designer and two totally different fits!
We ordered baccarat glasses of hey we're badly packed and of course one was chipped; several days now since we e mailed no reply.
Also I've ordered clothes " tags still on new ". Nope stank and make up on the clothing plus slight wear The seller just saved the tags and never bothered dry cleaning the clothing.
Designer clothing comes all wrinkled and crumpled up in a bag. Very wrinkled.
Then after buying a jacket that says no return it's ok because I have the exact same in another color same size I have to return for a consignment because it's been altered so I pay when it's not my fault.
I'll get e mails and texts daily to consign yet can't get a single response on an e mail with a complaint.
Full price shirt that is missing a button and had a slice from a box cutter through it ( didn't return but my Taylor fixed.).
I'm ready to pay full retail again and not feel stressed.
Honestly the concept is great and I do have many items I'm in love with but it's not a detail oriented company.
I liked an peel from baccarat and went to a real baccarat store it was half priced in store at 4K it's well over that at the real real used. So I just don't know what to say.
The agent that helped me was diligent so quick with a resolution
For the shipping document (not referring to this particular Purchase order), please only enter the total amount after deducting the % discount and store credit. Otherwise, our Customs charge us import tax for the gross amount rather than the actual amount that we paid to you.
Please help and we will feel more interested to buy from you
First purchase as good but on my second purchase I bought a pair of shoes in Excellent condition (see images) and when they arrived they were in very bad shape, I wouldn't even considered them in "good" condition. How is it possible? Isn't this the whole point of TheRealReal?
I returned it and I only got half of what I paid. Seems like a scam scheme.
I'll be fair and start off with the good part... they ship very quickly which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1. The customer service representative also accommodated me prior to my purchase with a promo code that had expired but would grant me it anyway. That's the good part. Now, here's the part you WANT TO READ: I bought a Tiffany necklace from them, $200, even though I'd later discover that they lie about the item shown in their listing photos as being the actual item sold. THEY USE WHAT APPEARS TO BE STOCK PHOTOS! For the same necklace (if they have multiple to sell), the same exact photos are used for each listing! The product page states, "Photos are of the actual item in our possession" yet when I emailed them to ask for a visually-detailed photo of the item, they SENT ME THE SAME PHOTOS AS WHAT I HAD ALREADY BEEN VIEWING FROM THE PRODUCT PAGE. WTF? So as if that's not bad enough (obviously, I overlooked this as being a potential issue - I needed to get my daughter a gift in time for her birthday so I placed the order anyway), they described the necklace's pendant as being in "very good" condition, having "light scratches" on the pendant, which leads one to believe there are a few here and there, hardly noticeable, right? Wrong. The entire pendant looks like someone used sand paper on it. I'm livid. I'm leaving this review to warn others that THEIR PHOTOS SHOULD BE OF DETAIL for selling used items. It's my bad for not taking the warning signs seriously before my experience. I'm contacting corporate to suggest that they get their QA/QC team involved to determine what went wrong here - in a nutshell, the stock photos they use are clearly false advertisement. Look at my photo and their listing photos and you'll see the difference in detail, and how it is misleading! Seriously, read other people's reviews and also articles from CNBC where it states this company is borderline fraud. They have "experts" who authenticate without having had any training.
Their glitzy glamorous website makes you think you're buying new things when you're actually buying used items. They mark things at 40% off so that you can't return them. Per their return policy!
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!
Answer: Hi Samantha. The RealReal does sometimes ask for additional information from customers for a one time security check. Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Please feel free to reach out to us if this does not answer your questions or if you feel that the explanations provided were not applicable to your situation. You can reach out to our Customer Service Department at (855) 435 5893 from 8am to 5pm (PST). If you would like to speak to a supervisor directly, please feel free to ask for Caitlin from our NJ office. She is available from 9am to 6pm (EST) and of course you can reach us via email at: [email protected].
Answer: If you like to be frustrated, disappointed and want to take a few years off your life, then yes consign with the real real.
Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,
Answer: Hello, We are sorry to hear of your concerns. If you can please send us your order number or email address we will happily research this further.
Answer: Hi Frank, Thank you for reaching out. We apologize you have seen more negative than positive reviews. We would be pleased to advise you on our consignment process and share a little more insight about the RealReal.
Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
Answer: I have returned things with no hassle at all.
