Easy to browse and purchase. Item descriptions are true to the merchandise received. The only issue I've ever had is the size being wrong on one pair of pants- ordered from the women's collection and they were kids jeans- gave to granddaughter.
Purchased a few Hermès silk scarves through The RealReal. While generally happy with the purchases, I absolutely hate how the security tags are attached, basically puncturing the silk with those cheap plastic fasteners. Believe me, I get why you do it, but I am appalled that you'd risk a run in these very expensive scarves.
I have consigned and purchased and couldn't be happier. The quality always seems better than what they say! I purchased two Alexander McQueen bags and am obsessed!
Ive had to return shoes for this. Also my experience is the the wear rating seems to bit too generous. If theres a spot or issue with garment, show it. Use carvana as a example of how to do this.
Search optimization is terrible. The My TRR is useless festure.
Great customer service.
I've ordered 6 items from Real Real and the sizing is off from how they are described online. A size 12 can be anything from an 8 to an XL. Even the measurements aren't always accurate. I have a visit to the seamstress coming up. I also ordered what was described as a purple Coccinelle bag and to my delight it is taupe which is preferable to me. Even though There are great deals to be found, it Isa risk you take biting online especially when half my items were non-returnable. Think I will stick to handbags and accessories.
Product was clean and packed nicely but the advertised size was shrunk down about two sizes (from medium to x-small).
Return was easy and smooth.
I started to purchase on the RealReal recently - got some very nice designer items at a great price! I always love the idea of giving the clothes a second life. It's such a great way to reduce unnecessary waste and pollution in the fashion industry while saving you tons of money for high-quality pieces.
TRR also got a fantastic customer service team. The return is very easy and fast.
I miss when TRR listed items quickly, when as a buyer things arrived quickly & as listed, when customer & seller service was readily available & prompt to fix issues, when all listings had accurate measurements, when value made sense from item to item. It seems as the company has grown it has not been able to keep up with consistency on most fronts. Almost every order i place something is different from the photo or quality is not as listed, the cost of shipping each way often makes it so if i am sent an item incorrectly listed i am then out $25 after returning it, as a seller my items are often not listed for over a month & then often the details are incorrect or the photos are bad/the garment is not steamed or well styled after they receive it.
Description with the picture, doesnt match, usally low information, and details.
Otherwise, shipping handle is fair ok
I ordered a ski jacket that was listed as a small but was actually a large. I spoke with customer service and returned the jacket to the store. It was seamless. Only thing is that the jacket is back online and still labeled as a small. That should have been corrected. They might have to return it again.
I have had flawless experience utilizing website and receiving purchased merchandise in a timely manner.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to purchase on the app. I tried using Apple Pay and change my credit card to others but the transaction never went thru. I end up going to the store to purchase the items with a representative. She was very nice and legend me but I still had to pay shipping and obtain my items after the expected date because I had to go personally to the store to place the order. I recently tried again to purchase some items but the transaction did not went trotugt. Very unfortunately as I can no buy online.

I wrote to consignor relations about not getting my commission check and it has been several days with no response.
I really like RealReal but I do not like the 14 day from shipping return authorization policy. It is unfair for ppl who are not in big cities and who wait 5+ days from date of shipping to receive their goods. I would like RealReal to align more like Zappos. Free shipping and a 30 day window. As long as the tags are on the merchandise and not covered by a "Final sale", I'm not sure why RealReal cannot be more generous with the returns. I received a pair of shoes for my husband and I was within the 21 day time but outside the 14 day for getting an authorization (by 2 days). Luckily I called and was able to get a return authorization but it was frankly stressful and I think unnecessary.

Item has stains under the plastic (NOT notated) and is not returnable. Would not have purchased a stained and unusable bag.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
