Customer service rep "arranged " for ups pick up and told me to leave the package in front of the door, days went by and no pick up. I saw pictures from Amazon delivery with TRR boxes still in front of the door.
The good: 2 pairs of boots were as listed.
The bad: leggings arrived with holes and stretched out; were listed in excellent condition. And I had to pay for return shipping even with the bad listing and product.
Also received the wrong dress that was stained and smelly. Again they asked I pay return shipping on something I didn't order. The kicker is I still haven't received a refund or the correct dress (which I've tried to cancel).
I think this will be the last time I use this site. The quality control doesn't exist anymore and it's no longer worth it.
Good customer services when issues arise. Good products. Wish they offered free returns

I ordered overnight shipping or 2-day shipping for my last 3 or 4 orders and nothing ever arrives on time. I was also a few hours late after my window closed for a return and I emailed someone to request and cash refund and they would it give me anything but a store credit. After years of loyal purchasing, this left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will definitely think twice about continuing my relationship with TRR

I am a loyal customer and consignor but I have been very unhappy recently- not only are returns taking very long to process but my consignment items have taken even longer to post. I am seriously considering consigning elsewhere

I am very happy with the service the only frustrating part is that the size and measurements do not add up and you end up taking something that does not fit as I am international I can not make returns easily. For Example, size says L measurements will be waist 28 hips 24 or something silly like that, so hard to know why they do that, also do not take anything that says good, it means well worn and used or fair, their very good is good and there excellent is very good, get it? Good :)
I have purchased many many items and they arrive on a timely basis and are as described... returns are easy... although they do take longer to process your return than some of the other sites... communication is good as on 3 occasions my purchases were no longer available however I was notified right away

I will suggest they use DHL instead of UPS. The charges of UPS is just too high and their services is not good… too slow to deliver most of the time. TheRealReal does not pay for shipping and they also charged me for returning an item. This is a burden to the customer. I don't think that is encouraging

I can always trust that the product descriptions are accurate, the prices are so good and their return process are liberal. I shop there often with great pleasure.
I sent in a box of consignment items last June (including a pair of) and was sent a note a month later saying that the box couldn't be accepted due to some personal items left in a bag (totally understandable). Not a big deal at all. Well it's been over a year and still have not seen that box sent back to me. Every time I chat support no one can figure out where it is or what happened to it which is very upsetting. I have spend at least 10k with this company and I love the concept but the customer service is subpar.

Nothing showed up!
First, two were cancelled because TRR inventory was inaccurate. Then 3 just disappeared…. Only message stating address issue pending. I sent several messages desperate for help but couldn't get customer service to intervene on my behalf.
My money has been lost in a black hole ever since! I am beyond disappointed!

I am offered a discount code only good for "one day"
Email offer arrived at 7pm at night so is it good until 7pm the following night? Tried to use it 11 hrs after receiving offer and it doesn't work. So have contact help desk but they are very busy. This is time sensitive so let's see what happens.

I purchase often and find great deals, however quality and customer service has declined lately so I'm finding myself looking elsewhere. Items are mislabeled, inaccurately priced and the site is now full of lower quality items. Many of the items I view have holes or stained that were not noted in description and I've returned several for the same. Most discouraging is the sale price of my consignment items. I cannot make a correlation between actual sale price and what is stated on my sales register, as it's always a fraction of the price reflected in the item listing. So I'm not sure that I'm getting true sale value. If I am, it's still a fraction of what I could get elsewhere and, often times, what I was offered on eBay or Poshmark before sending off to RR to be done with the seller duties. In any case, its worth the trouble to use other platforms to recoup more of my investment than to let RR take me to the cleaners. No for consignment. Customer service has really declined. I have a feeling it's been outsourced and I'm now dealing with translation issues.

My order is was to arrive in two packages: the first was lost, and the second arrived in New York and then was diverted back to their AZ warehouse. I never was given a reason why, and I'm still unclear if i was fully refunded for the items i purchased.
Customer service communication was sparse and circuitous. They never addressed the second package or answered why it was returned to the warehouse.
I cannot review any of the clothes i purchased because they never arrived.

I've been a buyer and a seller since TRR was established and have enjoyed it a lot. Lots of great finds over the years and I've never been disappointed with a purchase. I've particularly loved finding Gucci items! There's a wide variety of items and price points. Very easy to consign with TRR as I have a consultant who comes to my home, however it's very easy to consign online. TRR has great customer service too.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
