I have sold many items on TRR without any problems until now. I sent in a watch to be sold, at the same time i sent in 16 watch bands that could be used for this brand of watch. One of the bands i sent in was brand new and had a purchase price of $400 Was told the pricing would be between $495 and $575 for the WATCH ONLY. The watch is now listed at $575 and they bundled the 16 bands i sent in with the watch. I never agreed to this. The only thing i agreed with is the original pricing of the watch. I have reached out via email and chat. My email has gone unanswered and the chat i had going with "sara" was a literally dead end... Sara stopped responding. I also reached out to my original contact who was very quick to text me with the info when i was sending in merchandise. She also has not responded to me about this issue. I will never sell or purchase on this site

Lovely quality items, amazing choice, competitive prices
I ordered several time at TRR and satisfied with the quality of the products. One thing which I want to point out is the size of shoes... I ordered size 8 in Tods and other brands. Tod's is bigger than the others. If you provide size difference in terms of brands, it would be helpful.
While the overall deal was good on the shoes I received, one pair had heel taps that were totally bare and required unexpected repair costs. I was just disappointed that the listed condition was deceptive.

Hi, im very satisfied with the the realreal webshop - the order shipping is very fast and returns are also being processed fast. The photos are very good but sometimes maybe some description could be more specific. I definetly recommend this shop, ive bought a lot of beautiful pieces in it!
I really like The Real Real. I'm new with utilizing online shopping and selling of resale designer wear. Prices are fair, and I've noticed that a factor regarding the cost is based on the condition of the item. The website also offers good discounts (very encouraging for me with regards to making more purchases). I also appreciate being able to sell some of my designer items as well, and my items (for the most part) have sold. I also appreciate the ease of requesting any unsold items back to me. TRR website is user friendly as a buyer and seller, especially with the shipping as a buyer and seller. I also like the opportunities with returns with most purchases. This help with my decision makingn processes. Regardless of price, if it doesn't have a option for returns, I think twice about it. The customer service is exceptional and also rather quick with addressing consumer needs and or issues. Also appreciate the fact that TRR backs up the product. Re: Shoes, I don't have a huge amount of money, so buying Manolo Blahniks through TRR offers me opportunities, that I otherwise, wouldn't have available to me. Manolo's at a regular high end retail store (i. E.: Neiman's, Saks, etc...) is just too expensive and way beyond my limited income.
My only set back is when I'm shopping, and I place an item into the bag. I only have 20 minutes before it goes back onto the website. It's frustrating as I'm still shopping, and I have to start the whole process all over again. I've learned to "like" the item so that it's in "my obsession" section. I'm able to go back to it and put it back into the bag. Other than this, this is my only complaint or issue.

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from RealReal and its always a very positive experience.
Depends on who you get as an authenticator. Seems every time your consigned items are listed they mess up the description: for example if the item is new with tags, then that is left out of the listing. Then, as soon as your item is listed it goes on sale. They literally give your things away. For example, I bought Diane Von Furstenberg dresses FROM the RealReal, that were new. I never wore them and decided to consign them. Each one cost $170-200 range. The RealReal listed them for $60 and marked them down 20% on the very first day. Of course they sold in seconds. My commission was $17. These were %100 silk Jeanne II wrap dresses, which were featured on 60 minutes as icons of fashion. Additionally, typos and omissions are illustrative of the haphazard and incompetent process. The RealReal has also listed designers whose merchandise was widely seen at the Capitol Riots 1/6/2021, as well as the white supremacist riot in Charlottesville, VA. Disgraceful.
Great prices & products, 95% of goods purchased have been as described. Fast shipping to Australia. Well packaged.
RealReal used to be a place where you could go to get good quality items at a fair price. Now the items are expensive and if you purchase them, very often they are of much poorer quality.
The fact that you have to pay extra to get early access to better deals is irritating. The high price for shipping and handling is similarly irritating. I used to spend thousands of dollars on the realreal. I really purchase now.

So far so good. I am a little apprehensive since my last two orders before this one was a disaster. One, the order was not processed until a week later. The one after that, it was cancelled. This is so strange because I've had good experience in ordering except lately, it's one bad experience after another. Customer Service was... So you can't blame me to hold my opinion until I actually receive this order.

I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate more pictures and better pictures. I almost never see pictures of the brand tag of the garment nor do I ever see pictures of the tag that shows the care instructions as well as the picture of the size tag. This is incredibly important for suit coats and blazers. There is a big dffference between a 40S (short) and a 40L (long). Labeling a sportcoat as a "M" for medium just does not cut it. There is important information on these tags. The more information I can get, the better I can better assess whether or not I want to purchase the item.
Also, I have a difficult time really zooming in to get an accurate view of the garment. EBay is so much better at this since sellers can post a number of pictures of the garment.

Somewhat disappointed with the prices my items were listed at... and there was a mix up with my items and someone else's... also had to return a item I bought due to unseen damage. And Wish the return policies were different and not final sale.

I had a few designer bags and had an in-person appointment with a specialist. Everything went very smoothly. The bags were authenticated and two of them sold on the first day they were listed. I am very satisfied and will definitely bring more items in. I am sure that whoever bought my bags is also ecstatic with the quality and the prices they got.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
